She laid sleeping so soundly on her own bed, a stray hair laying across her peaceful face. Gently he tucked it back behind her ear.
So I'll go, but I know, I'll think of you every step of the way.
He stood suddenly and braced himself on the window sill. Bathed in moonlight his silver hair glowed but nothing could compare to her.

He parted the curtains but found it was harder to tear his gaze away. His heart was wrenching inside of his chest and it hurt terribly.

He couldn't tell how long he stood there. Betraying Soul Society would be easy, but this right here would be worse than any cut or wound.

As quietly as he was able he closed the window and walked back to her sleeping form. He kneeled down next to the bed and watched her breathe.
