-Prologue-

"The child must be killed!" yelled one of the many voices.

An enormous room held many creatures. Some seemed less or more than human. The room towered high, it's walls illuminated by the burning torches surrounding the room. On the far side of the room sat an enormous chair that seemed to hold a giant. By the way the being sat you had no doubt he was by far the most power in the room. Other chairs not as grand filled the room. They formed a circle surrounding a poor creature in the center.

The creature in the center of the room was no doubt female. She looked to be eight months pregnant. Her bleeding eyes and black hair said she was no normal being. The wounds that swallowed her back made her look hunched. She had been whipped brutally.

"The child cannot be killed! It is part of the prophecy!" yelled another voice. This one seemed female. Her voice sounded sad and filled with earnest.

"Nonsense! The prophecy cannot…!" another voice continued angrily but was soon interrupted.

"Silence!" boomed the giant from the chair on the far side. At the sound of his voice the arguing ended suddenly. All heads turned intently towards the giant.

"No doubt the child is the being from the prophecy, but still she is a threat to us. If she stays here she could destroy all we have lived for. So without question we must ban her from the empire." He paused for effect. When he did so the room filled with whispers among people.

"To the Canos Empire!" yelled a voice across from the giant. He was tinnier and seemed to be swallowed by his chair.

"They have been warlike since the beginning of time. If…" The giant interrupted him swiftly.

"If the child grew up there it would somehow learn to return. You must remember their technology is very advanced."

"The Solar System!" came another voice. It was the voice of the women that had yelled before. If you looked closely she was tall and elegant. Her stomach bulged though. She must have been seven months pregnant.

"Earth and Mars have not evolved as well as other planets. If the child were to be sent there it would have no chance of finding it's way back. Also they are peaceful planets and the child would grow up in a peaceful and loving environment." The women stated towards her argument.

"Hmm… Yes they are a good choice. Better by far then any other violent empire." The giant was left in a thoughtful state while whispers and yells continued around the room.

"It is settled." The room quieted at these words. "The child will be sent to earth to live out her years. We must however erase any memory of her birth here. We do not want some memory to trigger her knowledge of this place."

The creatures continued to argue as the female in the center was dragged away by her chains. Unseen by the other members in the room, the women looked down at her child.

"Soon my daughter. Soon." She whispered to the child in her abdomen.
