A/N: In case anyone hasn't read the Phantom of the Opera book, Philippe is Raoul's older brother.

I do not own Phantom of the Opera or Wicked

One Short Night - A Parody of One Short Day from Wicked

Philippe and Raoul are walking down the street, then:

Philippe, spoken: Let's go to the Opera Populaire!

Crowd of people walking down the street: One short night in the Op'ra Populaire!

Raoul, spoken: I love the Opera!

Crowd: One short night in the Op'ra Populaire!

One short night in the Op'ra Populaire.

One short night

Full of so much to see.

Everywhere that you look in the op'ra

There's something exquisite.

You won't want to miss it

Before the night's through.

Philippe: There's statues as tall as big oak trees!

Raoul: One big stage.

Philippe: Curtains to see.

Raoul: Cellos.

Philippe: And Flutes.

Both: And things that toot!

Philippe: There's acting like I've never seen.

Raoul: It's all grand!

Philippe: It's not obscene!

Both: I think we've found the place that we belong!

I want to burst out into song!

Philippe: So we'll be back again someday.

Raoul: To see a show and take Christine away.

Both: But for today we'll sit down and enjoy!

Crowd: One short night at the Op'ra Populaire!

One short night to have a lifetime of fun.

One short night.

Raoul: And I'm warning the Phantom

Now that I'm in here

I'll find Christine somewhere

Before the year's done!

(By now, the crowd, Raoul, and Philippe are by the doors of the Opera).

Philippe, spoken: Come on! We'll be late for Hannibal!

(They rush in, giving a man at the door their tickets. Raoul and Philippe hurry to their private box while the crowd go to different seats in the theater. A crowd of singers comes out on stage, which includes Christine):

Singers: Who're the guys

Who run these shows so fabulous.

Aren't they just fantabulous?

Who're the guys who

Run the op'ra you're about to see!

Who put up with obnoxious divas?

It's a wonder they didn't leave-a

Woo-ooo-ooo!

Aren't they just wonderful?

Wonderful managers?

(Andre and Firmin come out on the stage just as everyone in the Opera sings):

Everyone but Andre and Firmin: One short night in the Op'ra Populaire!

One short night to have a lifetime of fun!

Can't believe

We are seeing this op'ra!

Philippe and Raoul: Where so many go to.

Right near our home, too.

And then just like now we can say

We're just to brothers.

Raoul: Two good brothers.

Philippe: Two great brothers.

Everyone but Andre and Firmin: Sharing one wonderful one short . . .

Andre and Firmin, spoken to singers: Break a leg!

Everyone but Andre and Firmin: Night!

A/N: Please review and tell me what you think of these parodies so far. It would be good to get a request, too, so I'm not just guessing what showtunes you like. :)
