A/N: Response to the prompt Gluttony on 100Ghosts community on LJ. A Glutton for punishment is someone who happily accepts jobs and tasks that most people would try and get out of. (Idiom definition from UsingEnglish)
No one asked them to do it. They could have
stopped. They had done more than their fair share and paid with
their lives, however short lived it had been.
They had no choice
growing up; in the eyes of their father there was no choice, no
decision to make.
There was a choice now. They could live. Drain
every last second of life from the miserable solitary year.
It
wouldn't be enough, never enough, but it was something.
They
didn't have
to hunt.
But there were people to save and things to hunt and stopping never crossed their minds.
