A/N: Ok, Jenny…here's your debut. Finally. I know you've been waiting for it for a while now. Again, to reiterate, Snape and Malfoy had nothing to do with Dumbledore's death. We will find out who did later in the story.
About a week had passed, and the girls had settled into their classes. After they arrived back at Hogwarts, George had thrown a huge surprise party for Shaylin's birthday, and the two had grown much closer since. They were often seen in the hallway leading to the Astronomy Tower, and many things were assumed.
Though they had been told that they were important in the fight against Voldemort, the girls were just beginning to find out what about each of them was so special. Chelli had indeed been classified as a seer, and Ashley's bond with Fawkes was deepening more and more every day. Now that Brittany was healed, she had been teaching elven magic to the girls after she discovered the new abilities she had gained. Hollie's ability to speak to animals had developed to the point where she could turn into multiple animagus forms without expending the energy it took many other witches and wizards.
Outside of class, the girls had been doing many different things, including pulling pranks, hanging out in the common room that only they could access, and, ironically enough, playing Harry Potter Scene It. There had been a point, however, when Whitney freaked out about not having theatre classes, and Lori had to spend almost an hour calming her former roommate down.
Since Chelli had no real wish to be an animagus, she had chosen to be an assistant in Luna's and Kevin's 6th year defense class. This day in particular, she arrived five minutes late because Professor Snape had held their Potions class over.
Luna glanced disappointedly at her friend, and slid her a pile of papers to grade while Chelli mumbled, "stupid, arrogant, greasy potions professor!" Chelli set to work on the papers, and the students in the class were already paired off working on shield charms, so Luna took this opportunity to slink over to her soulmate and wrap her arms tentatively around him. Kevin leaned down to place a gentle kiss on her neck, and this behavior continued until Luna heard Chelli snickering.
A couple of hours later, Chelli returned to the Gryffindor common room, to find her way blocked by Hollie and Whitney.
"You really don't want to go up there right now," Whitney said, as Chelli tried to pass them. "I have something to tell you," she paused, leaving Chelli with her hands on her hips and her foot tapping impatiently, "You might wanna sit down."
"Ya know how Stacy has been practicing different spells from the books for first and second years?" Hollie asked, wincing when she saw the look on Chelli's face turn to panic. "Well, she was trying out "lacarnum inflamare" and kinda, umm…scorched things a lil' teeny tiny bit." She took an involuntary step backwards in preparation for Chelli's reaction.
"How much is a 'teeny tiny bit', Holls?" Chelli asked, her voice tense. The brunette was fearing the worst, for all of their possessions.
"Well, you know how when there's smoke present, that black stuff gets everywhere? Umm, well, I think by a teeny tiny bit I mean there's a two inch layer of that black stuff all over the room, and a hole where Stacy used to live," she said, before she and Whitney took off through the portrait hole, leaving Stacy to fend for herself.
Chelli raced up the stairs, her temper flaring as she feared the worst for her clothes. After all, the Wizarding World wasn't exactly known for it's fashion sense- she detested robes, and cloaks, and refused to wear a uniform under any circumstances. If Stacy damaged anything of hers, well…let's just say it wouldn't be pretty.
As Chelli entered the half-destroyed room, Stacy moved toward the door, saying, "Oh, Chelli, hey, umm…sorry…no really, I am sorry about your stuff, but you've got to admit it was damn funny!" and walked out.
As Chelli examined the charred remains of her possessions, the brunette cursed the absent pyro, the wheels in her head already turning. Stacy had robbed her of her revenge by leaving so soon. She ran to the library and finally found a book of old spells that included one for revenge. She drew her finger across the page to find the spell that went with the topic, and jotted it down on a spare piece of parchment. Rolling it and sticking it in her bag, she left the library to find Stacy, all the while cursing the fact that it was in Latin. She sucked at Latin.
She finally spotted the other girl just around the corner from the Charms classroom, and pointing her wand around the corner, she opened the rolled up parchment, and whispered, "Amicus mercedis" and was pleased to hear a high pitched squeal and a loud thump.
She started to turn around, then realized something. 'Ya know, that didn't sound like Stacy…wait a sec…I know that squeal!' she thought, and abruptly whipped around, throwing herself into the other hallway. Her jaw dropped in awe.
"Uh…Chel…hey. You shouldn't keep your mouth open like that. It's not the most flattering look for you," came the sheepish mumble from the blonde who was sprawled out on top of the now-unconcious Stacy.
Chelli's mouth opened and closed in shock for a moment. "Uh…Blondie, where the hell did you come from?"
Lori, who seemingly came out of nowhere, commented, "Isn't that Chelli's friend Jenny?"
A/N: I know this chapter is very random, but everything will tie in in the next few chapters, I promise. I already have a page of the next chapter written, so it should be up by Friday at the latest. Hope you enjoyed, and please review!
