A/N: This chapter will, like the last one, be very musical. So, I am uploading the music files to my webpage for you to listen to, in case you are unfamiliar with them. Here is the address: http/ www. geocities. com/ capstonelt /index. htm. Just take out the spaces, doesn't really like web addresses. If they aren't up yet when this is posted, they will be before long, so be patient.

Hollie sighed in frustration. She had been searching for the Phantom for nearly a week now, and still had found nothing. She walked back to Gryffindor Tower to get her supplies for Potions, giving up for the time being.

When she walked into her dorm, she was surprised to find Chelli, Jenny, and Whitney standing in a semicircle talking rather than getting ready for class.

"What are you guys doing?" she asked, moving over to them.

"We were just trying to get Chells to admit she's got a thing for Fred," Jenny giggled, but before Hollie could contribute any comments, Chelli bolted out of the room, neglecting to grab her supplies for class.

"Hope she realizes Snape won't be to happy with her if she doesn't bring her stuff," Whitney snickered, stating the obvious as she was prone to do.

Gathering their supplies, the three remaining Gryffindors also left the common room, heading down to the dungeons, where they met up with Sam right outside of the potions dungeon. Moving in to see that Snape hadn't gotten there yet, they took their seats and began talking, and then realized that since Chelli had left before them, she should have been here already.

"Maybe she foresaw a pop quiz," Whitney suggested, but Hollie shrugged off that idea.

"I bet she was just afraid to deal with the hair glare," she scoffed, overacting in a way that it was so obvious she could be mocking no one but Snape. When no one laughed, she sighed, and said, "Oh shit, so freakin' cliché, he's gonna be right behind me…isn't he?"

She turned, but didn't see Snape. Turning back to her friends, she shrugged her shoulders, rolled her eyes, and said, "What gives?"

They smiled. "It just wasn't that funny?" Sam piped, and the others nodded in agreement. "Phhhf," Hollie sneered, as Snape entered the classroom, and Potions began, still with no Chelli. About half way through the class Hollie began to worry about her friend, and threw extra powdered bicorn horn into her cauldron of polyjuice potion. It exploded, and Snape reluctantly sent her to the hospital wing. Whitney, who he asked to escort her, walked out the door with her, then proceeded to heal her, which for some unexplainable reason turned her hair bright blue, before returning to class and letting Hollie go on her way.

An hour later, class was out, and Hollie was still in the dungeons. Having gotten lost after running from Peeves, she was now somewhere in the castle that she had never been before. Haunting strains of music floated down the corridors, music that sounded very familiar…she stalked down the dark halls, tiptoeing in order to make sure she didn't lose her Phantom again.

"Flattering child,
you shall know me,
see why in shadow
I hide!
Look at your face
in the mirror -
I am there
inside!"

The song came echoing from a small room at the end of one of the many side corridors, and Hollie approached slowly. The door was slightly open.

"Angel of Music!
Guide and guardian!
Grant to me your
glory!
Angel of Music!
Hide no longer!
Come to me, strange
angel..."

She sang this part under her breath as she approached, until she could just see through the crack. She gathered her nerve, knowing that she had to find out who he was, once and for all.

"Whose is that voice . . .?
Who is that in there . . .?"

She spoke in a normal voice, pushing open the door and stepping in. The figure who was sitting by the window of the room, playing the piano along with his singing, was cloaked in shadow. She moved forward, and the light from the hall struck his face.

"You!" she gasped, and her eyes widened as she fainted. When she awoke, she was in the Great Hall antechamber. Were it not for the red rose in her hand, she would have thought it all a dream.

A while later, Hollie wandered into the library and joined her friends, including the now returned Chelli, at a table. The entire group of Americans had spread out through the library. No one was quite sure, but somebody claimed to have seen Stacy sound asleep in the section of books on pyrotechnic spells. Whitney, Hollie, Jenny, Chelli, Shaylin, and Sam had commandeered the largest table in the library. The Gryffindor girls had decided they were absolutely not going to let Chelli escape until she had admitted to having a thing for Fred Weasley. Chelli, on the other hand, suddenly found her divination book incredibly fascinating.

"Admit it, Chelli Renee! You are head over heels for that boy." Jenny reproached the young seer.

"I don't have a clue what you are talking about, Blondie. And shouldn't you be studying for tomorrow's divinations quiz?" Chelli remarked in a pitiful attempt to distract the blonde inquisitor.

"Nice try, but you know I don't study, now spill. You two were awfully close the other night at the ball."

"Hey, that's called dancing!" Chelli hissed at Jenny.

"So THAT's what they're calling it these days," giggled Whitney as she laid down her potions book. As a matter of fact, the only person who wasn't focused on torturing the information out of the seer was Sam, and that's because she was concentrating on the Cosmopolitan magazine that was poorly hidden behind her D.A.D.A. book.

By this point, Chelli had started to develop a nice rosy color in her cheeks. "I was just being friendly. Hell, I didn't even know who I was dancing with! Wasn't the point of the ball to try and make new friends?"

"Denial's not just a river in Egypt, sweets." Hollie smirked.

Shaylin grinned at her ex-roommate. "Ya know, Chelli, if things work out with you and Fred and me and George, we could be sisters-in-law!"

"THERE WILL BE NO WORKING OUT BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE A THING FOR FRED WEASLEY!" Chelli practically screamed. All of a sudden, Chelli climbed up on the table and did something no one expected, not even Chelli. She started to sing:

"If there's a prize for rotten judgement,

I guess I've already won that

No man is worth the aggravation

That's ancient history,

Been there

Done that."

Suddenly, Jenny, Whitney, and Hollie stood up around the table to provide backup for the brunette dancing on the table.

Jenny, Whitney, and Hollie

"Who'd ya think you're kidding?

He's the earth and heaven to ya

Try to keep it hidden, honey we can see right through ya

Girl ya can't conceal it

We know how you're feelin', who you're thinking of."

Chelli

"Ooooh

No chance, no way, I won't say it, no no."

Jenny, Whitney, and Hollie

"You swoon, you sigh

Why deny it, uh oh."

Chelli

"It's too...cliché

I won't say I'm in love

(Oooooh ooooh oooh)

I thought my heart had learned its lesson

It feels so good when ya start out

My head is screaming "get a grip, girl!"

"Unless you're dying to cry your heart out!" Ooooh oooh!"

Jenny, Whitney, and Hollie

"You keep on denying

Who you are and how you're feelin'

Baby, we're not lying, hon we saw ya hit the ceiling

Face it like a grown up

When ya gonna own up that ya got, got, got it bad?"

Chelli

"Woah

No chance, no way, I won't say it, no no ."

Jenny, Whitney, and Hollie

"Give up, or give in

Check the grin, you're in love!"

Chelli

"This scene won't play

I won't say I'm in love

You're way off base

I won't say it

Get off my case

I won't say it."

Jenny, Whitney, and Hollie

"Girl, don't be proud, it's ok, you're in love"

Chelli

"Ooooooh

At least out loud

I won't say I'm in...love."

Jenny, Whitney, and Hollie

"Sha la la la la la...(sigh)."

Chelli was still posed when Madame Pince came rushing over. "MISS ROBERTS! Would you please refrain from bursting into song and dancing on my tables?" The older woman scolded.

"Yes, Ma'am." Chelli murmured as she climbed off and raced out of the room.

Hollie shook her head. "If that girl doesn't stop running away, I'm going to handcuff her to Fred's bed until she admits she loves him," and as she walked way she turned back and stated, "And she better not give me a reason to find a way to do it." Jenny nodded her head in agreement. Sam was oblivious to anything; apparently it was a very good issue of Cosmo.

As Chelli dashed out of the library in an embarrassed huff, Luna passed her on her way in. She gave her friend a confused look, but continued on in a half trance, unable to concentrate. Kevin had been sent out on a mission for the Order of the Phoenix the previous week, and nobody had heard from him since. What scared her the most however, was that the bond they shared as soulmates had been deadened for the better part of two days now, and he was supposed to have arrived back at the castle the previous morning. Not even realizing what she was doing, she wandered up into the Restricted Section and began a soulful rendition of My Immortal by Evanescence.

"I'm so tired of being here

Suppressed by all my childish fears

And if you have to leave

I wish that you would just leave

'cause your presence still lingers here

And it won't leave me alone.

These wounds won't seem to heal

This pain is just too real,

There's just too much that time cannot erase.

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears

When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears

And I held your hand through all of these years

But you still have

All of me.

You used to captivate me

By your resonating life

Now I'm bound by the life you've left behind

Your face it haunts

My once pleasant dreams

Your voice it chased away

All the sanity in me.

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone

But though you're still with me

I've been alone all along."

As the song wrapped up, she noticed a shadowed figure in the doorway to the library, and felt a comforting presence in the back of her mind.

"Kevin!" she asked incredulously, unable to believe her eyes. She had thought him dead; had lost the bond they had since birth, and yet here he was in front of her. She ran towards him, knowing that the only way she would believe her eyes was if she checked it with her hands.

As Chelli pelted away from the library, a hand on her shoulder startled her, and she reacted entirely without thinking. She grabbed the wrist of the person behind her, flipping him over her shoulder and placing her foot solidly into his chest.

Then, as she realized the person probably had no harm in mind for her, she started to apologize. When she realized it was Malfoy, she reconsidered. "Whaddya want, Malfoy?"

"Ummm…I…I need your help…"he stuttered, completely not his usual self.

Chelli started laughing. "You want me to help you win Hollie over, don't you?" she continued laughing.

"Fine! I don't need your bleedin' help anyway!" he shouted before storming off. She started to catch her breath, and finally called him back.

"Malfoy…sorry," she murmured through giggling. "I'll help…come back," and as he moved in her direction, she finally managed to suppress the giggling.

"She found out I was the Phantom at the party, and all of a sudden she's avoiding me and…" Chelli had only been listening with half an ear, and did a doubletake when she processed the word Phantom.

"Wait! What! She didn't tell me that!" she snapped, feeling like she was losing touch with what was going on in Hollie's life. Getting back on topic, she sighed.

"Ok, Malfoy. You want my help, you're gonna have to beg…on your knees!"

"Filthy Mudblood! No way in hell would I ever beg you for anything!"

"I think you just lost your help, Malfoy," she said through gritted teeth, pulling her wand. "Actually," she mumbled, before putting her wand back up, and slamming her fist into his stomach. He fell to the ground, and right before she could get around the corner, she heard a quiet, "Please." Turning in shock, Chelli nodded.

"I don't know why, but I'm actually gonna help you. What the hell I'm thinking, I dunno, but I'm gonna do it." She walked away, slightly pleased with herself, and after only one slight mishap (seeing her ex-boyfriends portrait, in which he was in a bathtub full of syrup), she made it back to the common room and went upstairs to take a nap.

A few days later, Sam called a meeting of all the Winthrop students other than Chelli and Lori, in order to plan a joint birthday party for the two. Their birthdays were only five days apart, and the previous year, they had been on fall break for Chelli's, and Lori's had been the day they got back, so they had not been able to plan a party like they did for almost everyone else.

Luna held up a hand, motioning for the other girls to shut up. "Okay, time to get started. Now, I want this to be good. I have a few good ideas, I mean some of these could get me FIRED they're so good." She smirked, and placed silencing charms all around the walls and doors so no one could hear from outside the room, and Hollie placed an imperturbable charm on the door so that extendable ears weren't an option, either.

"Please tell me this is going to be a serious party…I mean like, with firewhiskey and vodka and shit?" Stacy asked, bouncing up and down like a 5 year old at the thought of a party. Luna smiled tolerantly, a wicked grin taking over her face.

"Well, I did say I could get fired…but I can't bring it," she murmured, before turning the subject back to party preparations. "Ok, so what should we do?"

Three hours later, the discussion ended in giggles, as everyone stumbled out of the room in hysterical tiredness. It was almost 3 in the morning, and as college students, the girls considered that to be bedtime for most nights.

The next day, Chelli cornered Sam outside the charms classroom, smirking as the girl tried to keep a straight face. Next to Lori, Sam was easiest for Chelli to get information from, although for anyone else it would be next to impossible. Chelli, after all, was a seer, and had a vision about the party, so she wanted to know when it was. She was interrupted however, by Whitney's infamous psycho giggle giving away her presence.

Sam slipped away as Chelli joined the other Gryffindor girls around Whitney, who was lying on the floor, laughing so hard tears were running down her cheeks.

"What's so funny?" Chelli asked, and Whitney pointed in the vague direction of a small indent in the wall where there was a half hidden portrait. Hollie went over and looked, and before long she too was on the floor. Stacy conjured a bubble wrap straitjacket for her friend, and approached the corner with her wand drawn.

"Lumos!" she whispered, and pointed it rapidly at the portrait. Stacy snorted, and Chelli shook her head. "Fruitcake!" she grinned, and the sleeping portrait woke, wiping a string of drool off his chin with his spare hand. His other hand, as his nickname would suggest, held a piece of fruitcake in the traditional Hamlet pose. Jeremiah was a friend from Winthrop, one of the many who had been put into portraits to save their lives. At one point he had been the floor boy, which was somewhat like a floor pet to the girls, but then he got himself kicked out of that position, and another boy took his place. For that matter, the girls went through floor boys very quickly.

A few days later, the time for the party was quickly approaching. The party was the next day, and Stacy, Hollie, Whitney, Ashley and Joe were holed up in the room of requirement, trying to decide how they were going to make sure that the two girls didn't get to the party early.

"What we need is Harry's map and cloak." Joe said sullenly, in a brilliant but useless flash of inspiration.

"Yeah! We'll steal him blind…but how?" Stacy rubbed her hands together with a slightly disturbing look on her face.

"Take his glasses. Duh…" Whitney said, waiting for the laugh that quickly followed. Rather than that idea, they set up a distraction. Just as Harry was walking into the common room, the song "I Wanna Be a Cowboy Baby" came blaring over the speakers they had set up, and Hollie came sliding down the fireman's pole in a pink gingham button down shirt tied in a knot at the bottom and a pair of black leather pants, with a pink cowboy hat on.

She began pole dancing, distracting every single guy in the common room, particularly Seamus, which got her quite the glare from Stacy as the other girl levitated herself up to the guys dorms, knowing the stairs would turn into a slide if she used them. She grabbed the map and cloak, and as soon as she had hidden them safely in her own trunk, she placed a charm on Hollie that made her slide back up the pole, and out of site from the hungry eyes of most of the Gryffindor males. Seamus, however, also knew that levitating could get you up the opposite sex's stairs, and followed quickly. In retaliation, Hollie cast a jelly legs jinx on him, and levitated him back down the stairs.

Several minutes later, Whitney ran up the stairs and slammed into the room. "There. Done. I obliviated them. Harry took a hell of a lot of work though."

"Well, stealing Harry Potter blind isn't easy!" Jenny laughed, from her seat on her bed.

By the next morning, everything was ready. The party would start at 9 that night, in the Room of Requirement. In order to get it to open right for everyone, you had to be wearing your invitation, which was a thin silver chain, enchanted to let you in. Chelli and Lori were given their chains as gifts, and made to put them on.

The plan was to cast a befuddlement charm on the two so that they thought they were going to the Great Hall for dinner, when they would actually be headed for the party. It was a stroke of pure genius on Stacy's part to use the befuddlement charm, and indeed to use the Room of Requirement to begin with.

Joe and Stacy had spent the entire day following their housemates around, making sure they went nowhere near the party preparations, or the spare classrooms where gifts and decorations were being stored.

That night finally rolled around, and Hollie and Ashley watched impatiently as people began arriving. Many of the things they had planned required quite a few people, and Ashley sighed in relief as the 20th person walked into the room. The turnout was going to be good.

The decorations were amazing. On one wall of the room, there was a small stage with a microphone. Another had a fully stocked magical snack bar, which only had to be told what you wanted and it would prepare it. The third wall had a series of chairs, in addition to the tables and chairs scattered along the other sides. A disco ball hung from the ceiling, and music was coming from out of nowhere, but once the karaoke contest began, the music would turn off. It automatically turned off whenever someone in the room started singing.

Most of Gryffindor house over 5th year had arrived already, including Harry, even though he still didn't really trust the girls. A scattering of Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs were around, and according to Hannah Abbott, more were coming.

The door opened again, and Hollie looked up to see who it was. She immediately blushed and looked back down. She had no idea how he had gotten an invitation to the party. Draco joined her by the door, taking a space next to her on the wall.

"You can't avoid me forever, Hollie," he mumbled, reaching over to lift her chin so she was looking him in the eye.

"I can try." Stubbornly, she refused to look at him, but the music welled up in her once more. This random bursting into song was really starting to annoy her.

"Look at me
You may think you see
Who I really am
But you'll never know me
Every day, is as if I play apart
Now I see
If I wear a mask
I can fool the world
But I can not fool
My heart
Who is that girl I see
Staring straight back at me?
When will my reflection show
Who I am inside?
I am now
In a world where I have to
Hide my heart
And what I believe in
But somehow
I will show the world
What's inside my heart
And be loved for who I am
Who is that girl I see
Staring straight back at me?
Why is my reflection
Someone I don't know?
Must I pretend that i'm
Someone else for all time?
When will my reflection show
Who I am inside?
There's a heart that must
Be free to fly
That burns with a need
To know the reason why
Why must we all conceal
What we think
How we feel
Must there be a secret me
I'm forced to hide?
I won't pretend that i'm
Someone else
For all time
When will my reflections show
Who I am inside?
When will my reflections show
Who I am inside?"

At the same time, Draco broke out into song as well, spinning away from her and being surprised when he realized the timing was perfect so that he was singing while she was on the downbeat.

"Whatcha' doin' tonight
I wish I could be a fly on your wall
Are you really alone
Who's stealin' your dreams
Why can't I bring you into my life
What would it take to make you see that I'm alive

Chorus

If I was invisible
Then I could just watch you in your room
If I was invincible
I'd make you mine tonight
If hearts were unbreakable
Then I could just tell you where I stand
I would be the smartest man
If I was invisible
(Wait..I already am)

Saw your face in the crowd
I call out your name
You don't hear a sound
I keep tracing your steps
Each move that you make
Wish I could read what goes through your mind
Wish you could touch me with the colors of your life

Chorus

If I was invisible
Then I could just watch you in your room
If I was invincible
I'd make you mine tonight
If hearts were unbreakable
Then I can just tell you where I stand
I would be the smartest man
If I was invisible
(Wait..I already am)

I reach out
But you don't even see me
Even when I'm scream out
Baby, you don't hear me
I am nothing without you
Just a shadow passing through...

Repeat Chorus

If I was invisible...
If I was invisible...
If I was invisible...
If I was invisible...
If I was invisible...
If I was invisible..."

Almost as soon as he ended that song, he began another.

"I've been watching you, from a far

and the way you make your way around the bar.

You laugh like your really entertained and
you smile like its your favorite game.

Now your moving closer to me

and our eyes are connected emotionally.

I'm not looking
for a one night stand,

Or a place for a broken heart to mend,

I know everybody here wants to hold ya.

I know what it's like
cause i feel the same.

When you look in my eyes

there's a part of me that's still afraid.

Chorus:
And when you say you love me

do you mean it, baby when you hold me do you feel it?

Should I believe in magic in your eyes,
I would wait until the end of time to hear you say

you love me like you mean it,

baby when you hold me make me feel it.

All i wanna do is make you mine

I've been hurt way too many times.

They say if you wanna make god laugh,

then all you gotta do is tell him your plans.

I know that the timing's not right,
Didn't know that I would meet you tonight.

Its not that i don't really like the attention,

I feel like the only man in the
room.

Are you really sincere, is this just something that you do?

Chorus

Again and Again and again I've been hurt my friend till the end...,

You know I've been high i've been low I got no place else
left to go,

again and again and again when will this search ever end?

Chorus"

Hollie was bright red. She was sure that if it weren't for the songs, nothing like this would have happened. But before she had time to say anything, she began singing yet again.

"You've got your mother and your father

Every other, undercover, telling you what to say

You think I'm stupid

But the truth is, that it's Cupid, baby

Loving you has made me this way

So before you point your finger

Get your hands off of my trigger, oh yeah

You need to know this situations getting old

And now the more you talk, the less I can say

I'm looking for attention,

Not another question

Should you stay or should you go

Well, if you don't have the answer

Why you still standing here

Hey, hey, hey, hey

Just walk away (just walk away, just walk away)

I waited here for you like a kid waiting after school

So tell me, how come you never showed

I gave you everything and never asked for anything

And look at me, I'm all alone

So before you start defending, baby

Stop all your pretending

I know you know I know

So what's the point in being slow

Let's get this show on the road today, hey

I'm looking for attention

Not another question

Should you stay or should you go

Well, if you don't have the answer

Why you still standing here

Hey, hey, hey, hey

Just walk away (just walk away, just walk away)

I want a love, I want a fire

To feel the burn, my desires

I want a man by my side

Not a boy who runs and hides

Are you gonna fight for me

Die for me

Live and breathe for me

Do you care for me

Cause if you don't then just leave

I'm looking for attention

Not another question

Should you stay or should you go

Well, if you don't have the answer

Why you still standing here

Hey, hey, hey, hey

Just walk away

If you don't have the answer

Just walk away

Just leave

Walk away, walk away"

Draco, not wanting to be unmatched, smiled and challenged her in song.

"Open up your mind and let me step inside
Rest your weary head and let your heart decide
It's so easy when you know the rules
It's so easy all you have to do
Is fall in love
Play the game
Ev'rybody play the game of love

When you're feelin' down and your resistance is low
Light another cigarette and let yourself go
This is your life
Don't play hard to get
It's a free world
All you have to do is fall in love
Play the game everybody play the game of love

My game of love has just begun
Love runs from my head down to my toes
My love is pumping through my veins (play the game)
Driving me insane
Come come come come play the game play the game play
the game play the game

Play the game everybody play the game of love

This is your life - don't play hard to get
It's a free free world all you have to do is fall in love
Play the game yeah play the game of love
Your life - don't play hard to get
It's a free free world all you have to do is fall in love
Play the game - ev'rybody play the game..."

Hollie blushed at what he was asking, and tried to run away before her emotions revealed themselves further in song. This wasn't the Phantom anymore, this had a name-a name that was associated with evil and Voldemort, the very man who was trying to kill her and her friends. But Draco caught her arm, and she knew it was too late as her voice rose once more.

"This thing called love I just can't handle it
this thing called love I must get round to it
I ain't ready
Crazy little thing called love
This (This Thing) called love
(Called Love)
It cries (Like a baby)
In a cradle all night
It swings (Woo Woo)
It jives (Woo Woo)
It shakes all over like a jelly fish,
I kinda like it
Crazy little thing called love

There goes my baby
She knows how to Rock n' roll
She drives me crazy
She gives me hot and cold fever
Then she leaves me in a cool cool sweat

I gotta be cool relax, get hip
Get on my track's
Take a back seat, hitch-hike
And take a long ride on my motor bike
Until I'm ready
Crazy little thing called love

I gotta be cool relax, get hip
Get on my track's
Take a back seat, hitch-hike
And take a long ride on my motor bike
Until I'm ready (Ready Freddie)
Crazy little thing called love

This thing called love I just can't handle it
this thing called love I must get round to it
I ain't ready
Crazy little thing called love
Crazy little thing called love
Crazy little thing called love
Crazy little thing called love
Crazy little thing called love
Crazy little thing called love
Crazy little thing called love
Crazy little thing called love"

And as the last note ended, Draco swept Hollie up into a passionate kiss.

At just that moment, Chelli and Lori burst into the party, laughing at first, but then turning around in confusion.

"Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore…" Chelli mumbled, which was ironic, because she happened to be carrying a Wizard of Oz purse. Everyone cheered, and as the two were pulled to the table with a huge cake on it, the karaoke contest began. Fred was the first to go on stage, and Chelli gasped when she recognized the opening cords of the song.

"I can't get no satisfaction,
I can't get no satisfaction.
'cause I try and I try and I try and I try.
I can't get no, I can't get no.

When I'm drivin' in my car
And that man comes on the radio
And he's tellin' me more and more
About some useless information
Supposed to fire my imagination.
I can't get no, oh no no no.
Hey hey hey, that's what I say.

I can't get no satisfaction,
I can't get no satisfaction.
'cause I try and I try and I try and I try.
I can't get no, I can't get no.

When I'm watchin' my tv
And that man comes on to tell me
How white my shirts can be.
Well he can't be a man 'cause he doesn't smoke
The same cigarrettes as me.
I can't get no, oh no no no.
Hey hey hey, that's what I say.

I can't get no satisfaction,
I can't get no girl with action.
'cause I try and I try and I try and I try.
I can't get no, I can't get no.

When I'm ridin' round the world
And I'm doin' this and I'm signing that
And I'm tryin' to make some girl
Who tells me baby better come back later next week
'cause you see I'm on losing streak.
I can't get no, oh no no no.
Hey hey hey, that's what I say.

I can't get no, I can't get no,
I can't get no satisfaction,
No satisfaction, no satisfaction, no satisfaction."

He was, of course, doing the Rolling Stones version rather than the Britney Spears version. Chelli was surprised by the depth and beauty of his singing voice, and still slightly enraptured, she took the next turn at karaoke.

"Miss independent
Miss self-sufficient
Miss keep your distance, mmmm

Miss unafraid
Miss out of my way
Miss don't let a man interfere, no

Miss on her own
Miss almost grown
Miss never let a man help her off her throne

So, by keeping her heart protected
She'll never, ever feel rejected
Little miss apprehensive
Said ooh, she fell in love

(Chorus)
What is this feeling taking over?
Thinking no one could open the door
Surprise, it's time, to feel what's real
What happened to miss independent's no longer need to be defensive?
Goodbye, old you, when love, is true

(Verse 2)
Misguided heart
Miss play it smart
Miss if you wanna use that line, you better not start, no

But she miscalculated
She didn't wanna end up jaded
And this miss decided not to miss out on true love

So, by changing a misconception
She went in a new direction
And found inside, she felt a connection
She fell in love

(Chorus)
What is this feeling taking over?
Thinking no one could open the door
Surprise, it's time, to feel what's real
What happened to miss independent's no longer need to be defensive?
Goodbye, old you, when love, is true (when love, is true)

(Bridge)
When miss independent walked away
No time for love that came her way
She looked in the mirror and thought today
What happened to miss no longer afraid?
It took some time for her to see
How beautiful love could truly be
No more talk of why can't that be me
I'm so glad I've finally seen

(Chorus)
What is this feeling taking over?
Thinking no one could open the door
Surprise, it's time, to feel what's real
What happened to miss independent's no longer need to be defensive?
Goodbye, old you, when love, is true (when love, is true)

Miss independent"

Her eyes connected with Fred's, and the two of them wandered off. Ashley stepped up onto the stage, pulling Joe with her, and motioning for him to stand with her, she took the mic off the stand, sitting at his feet and singing.

"I don't like to be alone in the night
And I don't like to hear I'm wrong when I'm right
And I don't like to have the rain on my shoe
But I do love you, but I do love you
I don't like to see the sky painted gray
And I don't like when nothing's going my way
And I don't like to be the one with the blues
But I do love you, but I do love you
Love everything about the way you're loving me
The way you lay your head
Upon my shoulder when you sleep
And I love to kiss you in the rain
I love everything you do, oh I do
I don't like to turn the radio on
Just to find I missed my favorite song
And I don't like to be the last with the news
But I do love you, but I do love you
Love everything about the way you're loving me
The way you lay your head
Upon my shoulder when you sleep
And I love to kiss you in the rain
I love everything you do, oh I do
And I don't like to be alone in the night
And I don't like to hear I'm wrong when I'm right
And I don't like to have the rain on my shoes
But I do love you but I do love you
But I do love you but I do love you."

He pulled her to her feet, and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek, taking her hand and leading her back off the stage and to a chair on the far side of the room where they could talk.

Meanwhile, Fred and Chelli had been looking for a place where they could make out without interruption. Finally, Fred remembered a very promising broomcloset. When they arrived and opened the door, however, it was occupied. Draco and Hollie were attached at the neck.

"Damn it Holls…are you gonna need me to freeze the spoons again?" Chelli asked, momentarily forgetting that she had been headed there for the same purpose. It was at this point she realized what she had been about to do. Luckily, Hollie was a too bit distracted to notice that her friend was turning a nice shade of pink.

"Well, what are YOU doing here?" Hollie asked, slightly pissed at being interrupted and very embarrassed to be caught making out with Draco Malfoy. Finally, agreeing that they should all break it up, Chelli taking off first, all four of them went back to the party, where the karaoke continued. As they entered, Stacy was on the stage, singing "Save a Broom, Ride a Quidditch Player", her version of "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy."

"DUM-DE-DE-DUM, DE-DE-DUM-DE-DE-DUM,

DE-DAA-DAAAAA

DUM-DE-DE-DUM, DE-DE-DUM-DE-DE-DUM,

DE-DAA-DAA-DAA-DAA-DAAAA!

Well, I walk into the room

Passing out hundred dollar bills

And it kills and it thrills like the horns on my Silver Arrow grill

And I buy the bar a double round of crown

And everybody's getting down

An' this town ain't never gonna be the same.

(Chorus:)

Cause I padded up my broom

and I ride into the city

I make a lot of noise

Cause the boys

They are so pretty

Riding up and down Broadway

on my old Nimbus 2001

And the girls say

Save a broom, ride a quidditch player.

Everybody says

Save a broom, Ride a quidditch player

Well I don't give a dang about nothing

I'm singing and Bling- Blanging

While the guys are drinking

Long necks down!

And I wouldn't trade ol' Nimbus

or my Comet for your Firebolt

Or your freak parade

I'm the only Sirius Black left in this town

And I padded up my broom

and I ride into the city

I make a lot of noise

Cause the guys

They are so pretty

Riding up and down Broadway

on my old Nimbus 2001

And the girls say

Save a broom, ride a quidditch player.

Everybody says

Save a broom, Ride a quidditch player

(Spoken:)

I'm a thourough-bred

that's what she said

in the back of my Ford Anglia

As I was gettin' buzzed on suds

Out on some back country road.

We where flying high

Fining, wine, having ourselves a big and rich time

And I was going, just about as far as he'd let me go.

But his evaluation

of my quidditch player reputation

Had me begging for slavation

all night long

So I took him out giggin frogs

Introduced him to my old bird dog

And sang him every Wilie Nelson song I could think of

And we made love

And I padded up my broom

and I ride into the city

I make a lot of noise

Cause the guys

They are so pretty

Riding up and down Broadway

on my old Nimbus 2001

And the guys say

Save a broom, ride a quidditch player.

Everybody says

Save a broom, Ride a quidditch player

What? What?

Save A Broom Ride A Quidditch Player

Everybody says

Save a Broom Ride a Quidditch Player."

The entire room was in hysterics over her mocking song, and Hollie collapsed into Draco when she heard it, tears creeping down her cheeks as spasms of laughter escaped her. Stacy had indeed brought firewhiskey, and had been dipping into it. In addition, an equally drunk Seamus had apparently brought tequila. Stacy motioned for Hollie to join her, and Hollie moved to the stage as she heard the opening lines of Take Me or Leave Me from Rent. While it was sung by lesbians in the movie, the two enjoyed goofing off with this song.

Stacy:
Every single day, I walk down the street
I hear people say, "Baby's so sweet"
Ever since puberty, everybody stares at me,
Boys - girls, I can't help it baby
So be kind, and don't lose your mind
Just remember that I'm your baby
Take me for what I am
Who I was meant to be
And if you give a damn
Take me baby or leave me
Take me baby or leave me
A tiger in a cage can never see the sun
This diva needs her stage,
Baby - let's have fun!
You are the one I choose
Folks would kill to fill your shoes
You love the limelight too, now baby
So be mine but don't waste my time
Cryin' - "O' Honeybear - are you still my my my baby?"

Hollie:
Don't. You. Dare.

Stacy:
Take me for what I am
Who I was meant to be
And if you give a damn
Take me baby or leave me
No way - can I be what I'm not
But hey - don't you want your girl hot!
Don't fight - don't lose your head
'Cause every night - who's in your bed?
Who, who's in your bed, baby?
Kiss, Pookie.

Hollie:
It won't work.
I look before I leap
I love margins and discipline
I make lists in my sleep
Baby what's my sin?
Never quit - I follow through
I hate mess - but I love you
What to do with my impromptu baby
So be wise 'cause this girl satisfies
You've got a prize, but don't compromise
You're one lucky baby
Take me for what I am

Stacy:
A control freak

Hollie:
Who I was meant to be

Stacy:
A snob - yet over-attentive

Hollie:
And if you give a damn

Stacy:
A lovable, droll geek

Hollie:
Take me baby or leave me

Stacy:
And anal retentive

Both:
That's it!

Hollie:
The straw that breaks my back

Stacy:
I quit

Hollie:
Unless you take it back

Both:
Women

Stacy:
What is it about them?

Both:
Can't live with them or without them!
Take me for what I am
Who I was meant to be
And if you give a damn
Take me baby or leave me
Take me baby
Or leave me
Guess I'm leavin'
I'm GONE!

With that, Stacy left the stage, and dramatic spotlights came up on Hollie as she took the next song, reverting back to Queen again.

"I want to break free
I want to break free
I want to break free from your lies
You're so self satisfied I don't need you
I've got to break free
God knows God knows I want to break free

I've fallen in love
I've fallen in love for the first time
And this time I know it's for real
I've fallen in love yeah
God knows God knows I've fallen in love

It's strange but it's true
I can't get over the way you love me like you do
But I have to be sure
When I walk out that door
Oh how I want to be free baby
Oh how I want to be free
Oh how I want to break free

But life still goes on
I can't get used to living without living without
Living without you by my side
I don't want to live alone hey
God knows got to make it on my own
So baby can't you see
I've got to break free

I've got to break free
I want to break free yeah

I want I want I want I want to break free..."

Stepping down to tons of applause, Hollie smiled at Draco, letting her guard down for just a moment. Seamus, being completely sloshed, jovially took the stage next, a glass in hand.

"Nibblin' on sponge cake
Watchin' the sun bake
All of those tourists covered with oil
Strummin' my six-string
On my front porch swing
Smell those shrimp they're beginnin' to boil

Chorus:
Wastin' away again in margaritaville
Searching for my lost shaker of salt
Some people claim that there's a woman to blame
But I know it's nobody's fault

I don't know the reason
I stayed here all season
Nothin' to show but this brand new tattoo
But it's a real beauty
A mexican cutie
How it got here I haven't a clue

Chorus:
Wastin' away again in margaritaville
Searchin' for my lost shaker of salt
Some people claim that there's a woman to blame
Now I think
Hell, it could be my fault

I blew out my flip-flop
Stepped on a pop-top
Cut my heel had to cruise on back home
But there's booze in the blender
And soon it will render
That frozen concoction that helps me hang on

Wastin' away again in margaritaville
Searching for my lost shaker of salt
Some people claim that there's a woman to blame
But I know it's my own damn fault
Yes and some people claim that there's a woman to blame
And I know it's my own damn fault"

He bowed, and then fell face first off the stage and into Stacy's lap. She laughed, and pulled him up so he was sitting with her. Next up were Lori and Neville, with Harry, Hermione and Ron doing a small part.

Harry:
I can see what's happening

Ron:

What?

Harry:
And they don't have a clue

Ron:

Who?

Harry:
They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line
Our trio's down to two.

Ron:

Oh.

Harry:
Ze sweet caress of twilight
There's magic everywhere
And with all this romantic atmosphere
Disaster's in the air

Hermione:
Can you feel the love tonight?
The peace the evening brings
The world, for once, in perfect harmony
With all its living things

Neville:
So many things to tell her
But how to make her see
The truth about my past? Impossible!
She'd turn away from me

Lori:
He's holding back, he's hiding
But what, I can't decide
Why won't he be the king I know he is
The king I see inside?

Hermione:
Can you feel the love tonight?
The peace the evening brings
The world, for once, in perfect harmony
With all its living things
Can you feel the love tonight?
You needn't look too far
Stealing through the night's uncertainties
Love is where they are

Harry:
And if he falls in love tonight
It can be assumed

Ron:
His carefree days with us are history

Harry, Ron, and Hermione:
In short, our pal is doomed

At the end of the song, Stacy cheered, and Harry suddenly lost his temper for no apparent reason. "Stupid American! Get the hell out of this school! You're a bloody spy!" he shouted, and Hermione once again tried to calm him down.

"You know, I don't care. All I hear is blah blah blah blah blah I'm a bitch." Harry said, sounding completely out of character. Hermione was taken aback, and Stacy stepped up.

"That's my line." She said bluntly, slapping him. "And lay off Hermione. Just cuz she's not fucking paranoid is no reason to go off on her, you conceited asshole."

Before long, they were involved in a no-holds barred fist fight, with Lori and Chelli trying to pull Stacy back, and Ginny and Ron doing the same with Harry. Hermione was standing to the side, unsure of who she should be helping. Her best friend had never called her a bitch before. Something was wrong with this situation.
