At Joe's bar, Amelia, Carina and Wilson were toasting their success, since Arizona wasn't there yet. Amelia was constantly looking at the front door, waiting to see her. After a while, Amelia decided to text Arizona.
Hey, are you coming? Waiting for you to celebrate properly!
Arizona texted her back a few minutes later. The reason she was running late was due to an unexpected proposal she received from Bailey. She really wanted to have Arizona back, and offered some kind of arrangement she could reconcile her practice and the hospital. Of course the proposal made Arizona think. She missed Seattle. She missed Grey Sloan. She missed her friends in here. Other than Sofia and her work, nothing else really matters for her in NY. But move away from her daughter again seemed too painful. She was confused and tempted, but deep down she didn't have the guts to make this big decision again.
Sorry, Bailey stopped me when I was leaving the hospital. I'll be there in a minute!
About 10 minutes later, Arizona entered the bar and as soon as Amelia looker at her, they both smiled. Arizona greeted her colleagues and asked for a glass of white wine to toast with them.
"To Robbins!" – Amelia started the toast, followed by the other women.
"To all of us!" – Arizona replied.
They've talked for a while but soon Arizona started to say her goodbyes. They protested but the blonde was too tired and, honestly, a little bit overwhelmed with Bailey's offer. Amelia was sad their celebration together was so short. Not too long after Arizona left, Amelia decided to go, too. When she entered the car, she didn't think through and just drove to Arizona's hotel. Without knowing why she did it, Amelia just wanted to say a proper goodbye before Arizona goes back to NY.
"Good night, I'm here to see a guest… Arizona Robbins, please" – Amelia announced herself at the reception front desk.
"What room would that be?" – The receptionist asked.
"I'm not sure, but the reservation was made by Grey Sloan Hospital. My name is Amelia Shepard" – Amelia said.
"Just a minute, please." – The receptionist dialed Arizona's room number – "Good evening, Mrs. Robbins. Amelia Shepard is down here to see you"
"Oh. Ok. Can you ask her to come upstairs?" – Arizona asked, sounding a little confused.
"Of course, Mrs. Robbins. Have a good night. – The receptionist hung up the phone – "Mrs. Shepard, Mrs. Robbins asked you to go up. Room 668"
"Thank you very much. Good night" – Amelia left and walked towards the elevator.
She was quite nervous, not really sure why. She didn't even know what she would tell Arizona and why the hell she was there so late at night. This impulsive behavior often throws Amelia in a messy situation, but that was how she knew to cope with her emotions. And her feelings for Arizona were quite confusing right now. When the elevator opened up, she took a deep breath, walked towards Arizona's room and knocked on the door.
"Amelia, hi!" – Arizona opened the door still looking confused.
"Hi. I'm sorry is late" – Amelia apologized, a little embarrassed.
