After the battle of Geonosis

A boy sat in the reddish brown dirt of Geonosis. He was holding a helmet, with a head still inside. For the first, and one of the last times in his life he cried. The helmet that he held was the helmet of a hunter. This hunter in question had hunted all kinds of creatures, sentient or dumb, male or female, dead or alive and always for money. Vast sums of money. The hunter's name was Jango Fett. The one staring at Jango's disembodied head was Boba Fett. Boba looked inside the T-shaped visor of his father's Mandolorian helmet. He knew he wouldn't see anything but a reflection, for he knew his father's helmet well, knowing it would one day become his. But he hoped to see his father smiling down at him once more.

It was a privilege, Boba thought, to have seen his father smile. The few people who had seen Jango with out his helmet normally ended up dead were a Jedi, or Boba. The second reason was simply because he rarely smiled. Although Boba was loved by his dad very much, he still never had it easy.
