We were best friends. Then suddenly, it was like we were arch enemies. But, no matter what, I'll still hold out my hand out to you... Not yaoi!

-1Hello all. This is my first attempt at a poem like this that came to me a while ago. I'll give you the origins of this after the poem.

Take My Hand

Once upon a time

You and I were friends

Then we hit a crossroad

I took one path I saw was right

And I looked over my shoulder

To see you were gone

Across the road I saw

You running down a road I'd never thought

You'd try to tread

I called out to you

Trying to stop you

But you just walked away!

After who knows how long

I saw you again

But I barely recognized you

The road you had took had washed you away

And there was nothing I could do!

But now I'm strong

And I hold out my hand

To bring you back from the dark

But then you turn your back to me and say

"I'm not coming back!"

I reach to you

I reach out for you

You can see it right here

I want to help you

Just give me a chance

Would you just take my hand?

I've gone through trials

Of Fire and worse

I've even been to Hell and back

All of it for you

To find a way

To bring you back home!

I hold out my hand

Across flame and the void

I hold for you

I give you the chance to

Heal your pain

All you need to do is take it!

Don't you see?

You're fading away

Fading away into darkness

I'm trying to save you

But you push me away

What more do I have to do to save you?!

I hold out my hand

For you to take

But really it's up to you

Will you fall away

And fade away

Or take my hand

And come back home?

(AN): This is based off the intro you can see on the anime of the Naruto time skip. I saw all the characters reaching their hand out to someone. (Three guesses who. ) And then this poem came outta now where while I was doing my home work. I scribbled it down, then eventually typed it down. Now you see the result above you.
