The bar fell silent as the owner walked onto the stage and up to the microphone. Harm, sitting in the audience, frowned, as he suddenly realised his friends had disappeared. " Great." he grumbled.
" Introducing the vocal talents of Sturgis Turner, Sarah MacKenzie, and Bud Roberts!"
Harm's head snapped round at this, and he groaned as he saw Sturgis on the stage with a guitar and the others on either side of him.
Sturgis walked up to the microphone, " This is for the best friend a guy could have, Commander Harmon 'Harm' Rabb, Jr."
Harm suddenly became uncomfortably aware of a powerful spotlight shining on him, he scowled at Sturgis to grinned back at him, causing the rest of the audience to laugh.
Strugis' When you're down and troubled,
And you need a helping hand,
And nothing, nothing is going right,
Close your eyes and think of me,
And soon I will be there,
To brighten up even your darkest nights.
AllYou just call out my name,
And you know where ever I am,
I'll come running,
To see you again.
AllWinter, spring, summer, or fall,
All you have to do is call,
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah,
You've got a friend.
BudIf the sky above you,
Should turn dark and full of clouds,
And that old north wind shall blow,
Keep your head together and call my name out loud,
And soon I will be knocking upon your door.
AllWinter, spring, summer, or fall,
All you have to do is call,
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend?
MacPeople can be so cold,
They'll hurt you and desert you,
Well, they'll take your soul if you let them,
Oh yeah, but don't you let them.
AllYou just call out my name and you know where ever I am,
I'll come running to see you again,
Don't you know that,
Winter, spring, summer or fall,
All you have to do is call.
AllLord, I'll be there, yes I will,
You've got a friend,
You've got a friend,
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend,
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend,
You've got a friend.'
As the three friends finished the audience clapped, and Harm just sat, looking stunned. When they returned to the table, a slight smile had crept over his face, " Wow, you guys sure can sing!" He paused, " Thanks."he said quietly.
Sturgis slapped a hand on his shoulder, " We figured you needed to know we're on your side. And I couldn't resist demonstrating who taught you how to play the guitar!"
Harm laughed, " Um, Sturgis? I taught you how to play the guitar!"
" Oh yeah..."
