The Mass just ended. Sakura eyed the priest more often than she prayed for her demented, twisted soul. She already has a boyfriend and she was fancying a priest! How sinful was that?
She groaned when the crowd finally dispersed from the building. The Knights of the Altar and the same as the priest were all in the conference room inside the Church. She was standing on the wall beside the Confession Room when suddenly, the door opened. Another priest emerged from the room and smiled at her brightly.
"Hello, my child. Would you like to confess?" He asked politely.
Sakura strained a smile at him. Yes… but not to you. But she did not dare say that. "No, Father. I'm just waiting for a friend of mine."
"Oh," the priest frowned slightly but smiled again. "Well, God Bless, dear." And he walked away. Sakura breathed in relief.
Another door squeaked open and several men stepped out of the conference room, clothed in their casual attires. Sakura began to smile when a mane of chestnut locks came to view. She waved her hand casually.
"Syaoran!" She said, getting a few looks from the Knights of the Altar onlookers. Syaoran smiled at her and waved back.
"Hey Sakura," he said with a gentle laugh. "Do you need anything?"
Sakura blushed softly. "Not exactly," she mumbled under her breath. "Would you like to get a cup of coffee, perhaps?"
Syaoran raised a brow at her but smiled nonetheless. "Sure."
Sakura beamed at him and walked ahead, feeling Syaoran follow her closely behind. Well, this was a first. Sakura never had a crush on a Holy Man before—since it was forbidden, she constantly reminded herself—and it actually felt fresh. She turned back to face him and cheekily grinned at him.
He was watching her with an ever-curious expression on his face and Sakura's face dropped. He then noticed her sudden change of demeanor and grinned at her. "Ah," he sheepishly rubbed at his neck. "Where do you want to go?"
Sakura instantaneously livened up. "Seattle's Best!" She squealed. "I absolutely love their latte!"
Syaoran chuckled. "Sakura, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you?"
Sakura pouted at him and fluttered her eyelashes. "You don't have to be so polite around me, Syaoran," she poked his arm, making him blush. "We're friends now, remember?"
Syaoran mutely nodded his head. "Well, how old are you?"
"Nineteen." Sakura replied without any hesitation.
Syaoran laughed. It was rich and intoxicating, it made Sakura yearn to hear it more often. "What's so funny?" Sakura asked, pouting.
"You act like you're in your early teenage years." Syaoran said teasingly.
Sakura's brows furrowed. "What's wrong with that?"
"Nothing," Syaoran said laughingly. "I find it quite adorable."
Sakura reddened. "Uhm, how old are you?"
"Twenty-two." He replied smoothly. Sakura gawked at him.
"You're…" Sakura was cut-off by Syaoran's cocky grin.
"I know, I know," he sighed. "I'm so you—"
Sakura interjected. "—ancient!"
Syaoran raised both brows at her as she laughed. "Not so cocky now, aren't you, Father?"
Syaoran was about to tell her off when a voice resounded through their ears.
"Yes, Sakura. You sure told him off!" Both heads turned to see a pair of dark eyes staring at them.
