This is a total AU.

Out in the World - Prologue
Kai Hiwatari was just your normal second-year student at Hemlington University. He was a tall handsome young man with slate and royal blue hair which stuck out in the most awkward ways. He had a pair of vermillion eyes were the doors to Kai. Pale peach skin completed the look.
Being at such an advance school required Kai to devote most of his time to studying and work. Kai had to sacrifice such things as his home and friends. Not that he ever had any but what little he had. Now here he was, miles away from his home with hardly any friends. He had tried to be as invisible as possible, not wanting to get mixed with a bunch of people he would end up forgetting at the end of his four years.
Sighing he closed his textbook and dropped the pen that was in his hands on the table. Leaning back in the cushioned chair he stretched, wincing at the sounds of his bones cracking.
He looked over at his clock realizing that starting at dawn gave him a chance to go outside. Thankful for it also being the weekend he stood up and walked to the window. Looking out the window he smiled slightly.
Walking back over to his chair and picked up the open long-sleeved shirt that hung over the back on the chair. Slipping it on, he stuffed a few small notebooks and a case in his bag. Slinging it over his shoulder he went to the door and opened it.
Walking down the dorm halls he could hear various sounds coming from the other rooms. Music blared in one, angry yells in another, giggles, and sounds Kai sometimes wished he didn't hear at that particular time of day. Shaking his head he headed for the stairs.
Descending them he was met with a hall that was busy with other students who were just sitting around chatting with their friends. Kai quickly walked out trying to stay out of the way. Reaching the door, he almost made it to safety when a voice called out to him.
"Hiwatari!" Kai sighed at the use of his last name. Turning around he was met with a fellow student who had straight-silver blue hair that was loosely pulled back into a ponytail. Orchid eyes hid behind red tinted glasses.
"Where do you think you're headed off to? Shouldn't you be writing your Psychology essay and other homework that you have brought upon yourself?" asked Raien. Kai smirked slightly.
"Since when did you become my mother? If you're trying out for the position you're doing a good job. I've already finshed that as well as my other homework. I'm going out now, instead of wasting my time here." Answered Kai as he watched Raien's face turn to a shocked expression. His glasses slid down the bridge of his nose showing his orchid eyes to Kai.
"You're finished already? But we were given it all yesterday." Asked Raien. Kai turned around and continued walking out the doors.
"Unlike you, I want to get out of here for a day. I'll be back later if you care so much." Said Kai finally. He walked down the steps and continued to walk off campus. He decided to grab a quick brunch. Walking down to a small café he ordered himself, a coffee and blueberry muffin. Paying for the food, he walked out and headed over to the park a little bit further from the park.
Walking around he stopped at a bench that was in the middle of the park. He ate his muffin quickly. Shaking the crumbs from his hands, and brushing the excess ones on his dark blue jeans, he grabbed the bag the he placed next to him. Opening it, he grabbed a sketchbook, and the case which was different tones of pencils. He opened it, looking around the park. His eyes came to rest in front of him. Pulling his legs up to rest them on the bench, he looked at the view and started to draw.

Okay, so there is the prologue. Short, but I didn't want to go to far. If anyone wants to see what Raien looks like, email me, or leave a message in the review with your email address. I'll be more than happy to send it.
I hope you enjoyed this and will stick around for the next chapter which should be out soon.
