I am so glad you all are enjoying the fic. I love the reviews so guys are sending. Well I'm getting this chapter done quickly since I'm at home sick. I collapse a few times in science. Not fainting but my knees kept giving out of me because I felt really sick.
So now in bed I can start writing.

Chapter Two – Idiots and Trips
A week had past since Kai's encounter with Rei. The black haired boy would just not leave Kai's mind. The picture of Rei he drew as well wasn't helping much either. Several times Kai had threatened to rip the picture out of his book but every time he saw it something inside of him stopped him from losing it forever.
Now Kai sat in the library getting his homework done early as usual, which wasn't a bad thing considering he wanted at least the weekend to go out for a while. Currently he was reading a thick book on diseases. A copied a bit of the information before going back to reading. He started to read when the book in front of him disappeared. Kai's vermillion eyes scanned the table before looking up. He saw Raien's pale face staring down at his. Glaring at Raien, Kai turned around to face Raien.
"Would you be kind enough to give that back. You may not understand the concept of book equals information, but I do so hand it over." Said Kai holding his hand out. Raien grinned and shook his head.
"Not today. Andhera? Be a dear and hold this for us." Said Raien to Andhera who suddenly appeared from behind Raien; taking the book in her coffee cream coloured hands. She gave Kai a smile which told him that she was doing whatever Raien said at the moment. Sighing Kai turned around and flopped ungracefully into his chair.
"What to you two want?" asked Kai coldly. Raien and Andhera were immune to Kai's iceberg words. Raien leaned on the table next to Kai.
"It's Friday. I'm sure you can spare a few hours to hang out with your best friend and his wonderful girlfriend." Said Raien flashing a smile at Kai. Kai only rolled his eyes.
"I'm sure um...brain tumors can wait for a while" Raien said, glancing at Kai's sheets. "Plus that assignment isn't due till Wednesday. Now why don't you pack up your things and then the three of us can use our feet, walk out of the library and into town, which will be by car." Raien said standing up. He started to pack Kai's things himself. He took the book that Andhera had and packed it as well. Slinging the bag over his shoulder he grabbed Kai left arm, while Andhera took the right. They dragged Kai out of the library and started to walk to the west end where the parking lot was.
"Um, shouldn't we put my books and stuff in my room?" asked Kai who managed to get out of their grips.
"No because if we go up there you will locked yourself in and be the little hermit that everyone thinks you are." Said Raien, pushing a few silver-blue strands out of his face. He pushed Kai to the back of his jeep, while he and Andhera got in the front.
"Since I'm in this now where are we going?"
"You make it sound as if we're sneaking out. Relax I thought you'd like to go to 'Kazie's' for awhile. We used to go all the time last year, remember. I thought you liked it there." Said Raien who pulled out of the parking lot and drove down the street. Andhera turned around to talk to Kai.
"Well aren't you hungry at least? I mean you haven't eaten much for the past week. Anyway we're doing this so you can have a break. You should enjoy this." She said. Kai, now knowing he was stuck in this slumped in the seat and crossed his arms. Andhera smile and turned back to face the front.
The three sat in silence for the short ride. Pulling into downtown they noticed that there were quite a few high school students walking around.
"Must be on their break now. I miss those. The partying, the no teachers..."
"The days when you still had a brain." Kai murmured. Unfortunately he didn't say it quiet enough. Andhera broke out laughing while Raien blew it off. Turning the jeep, Raien pulled into the small parking lot. All three got out and walked into the café know as 'Kazie's'.
"I missed you Kazie. Your drinks, ice cream, desserts." Said Raien eyes watering with joy.
"I knew the affair with Kazie was still going on." Said Kai smirking at his friend's behaviour. They waited for the hostess to seat them down at a booth near the back. Taking the menus given to them they scanned them.
"What are you getting Kai?" asked Raien mouth watering at the desserts.
"Hazelnut crêpe." Kai said putting down his menu. Raien looked up and smiled.
"That's my boy. I'm going with the usual, Double chocolate truffle plate. What about you And?" asked Raien. Andhera scanned her menu before placing it on the table.
"I'm having the Pecan coated plate." She said. The three continued to talk until their waiter came.
"Hey, have you decided what you want?" They all nodded. The waiter took out his pad and took the orders. A little while later the waiter along with another waiter came back with the orders. The one who took the orders gave Andhera her's.
"Which one ordered the Hazelnut?" asked the second waiter. Kai looked up and was met with gold (which wasn't the crêpe). His voice caught in his throat for a moment before he realized what he was doing.
"I did." He said. His order was placed in front of him. The boy didn't seem to recognize who he was serving. Hearing a call over the counter, Rei turned around and walked over not once noticing Kai. Kai sighed and turned back to his dessert. Deciding not to let his depression take him any further he started to eat just like Raien and Andhera were.
After finishing, all three sat around just looking around.
"It's busy today. I guess this is where all the high school students hang out." Raien stated. "Well I guess it's time to bring you back Kai huh?" asked Raien. Kai shook his head.
"I'm going to go walk around for a bit. I need to get a few things while I'm here." He lied. In reality he just wanted to get away and go somewhere alone. Raien nodded saying it was fine. They paid their bill and left. Stopping at the jeep, Raien gave Kai his bag back and left with Andhera. Kai wandered around town before deciding to head back. He went through the side streets head bent. He turned the corner when he rammed into someone. Putting his arms around them to prevent them from taking full impact of the ground he fell to the ground with the person on top of him. Opening his eyes he was met with a mass of black. Letting go of the person, they crawled off and sat down.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't see where I was going. I hope the fall didn't harm yo-....." said the stranger who stopped in full sentence realizing who he had walked into.
"Oh hey, it's you!" exclaimed Rei.
"Kai." Said Kai reminding Rei of his name. He stood up and gave a hand to Rei.
"Oh yea it's Kai. I saw you back in 'Kazie's' but I couldn't remember your name. And so I didn't want to make a fool out of you." Said Rei taking Kai's hand to stand up. Standing full height, Kai was still a head taller than Rei. Rei took a step back to see Kai's face.
"What are you doing here anyway?" asked Rei a little nervous. Kai picked up his bag that was lying on the ground.
"I'm going back to campus." Said Kai watching Rei's face. It took a while but it finally clicked in Rei's head.
"You go to Hemlington?" asked Rei. Kai nodded, mouth set in a straight line. "Wow, you must be like super smart. It's so hard to get into that university. I wish I could go there. But even if I could I'd have to wait a few more years." Said Rei Kai lifted an eyebrow.
"I'm only seventeen. Still in grade twelve." Rei explained. Kai's face showed nothing but inside he was surprised.
'Only seventeen? I thought he was a bit older than that. No wonder he was so nervous' thought Kai. Putting his surprise aside he nodded understanding Rei now. The two stood in silences unsure of what to say to each other. Rei rubbed his arm; a nervous habit he adopted.
"Well...um...it was nice seeing you again. I got to go. Bye." Rei said and walked away quickly. Kai stood where he was watching Rei's retreating form. Shaking his head he continued to head back to campus.

Later that night Kai laid in bed asleep but was woken from his dreams by the sound of banging at his door. Growling he pushed the covers off of him and stormed to the door dressed in a pair of boxers and a t-shirt. Opening the door ready to kill who ever was bugging him at this time off the night he was slightly shocked to see Raien standing there, hugging a pillow to his chest. His silver-blue hair was down, and the red glasses that he always wore were surprisingly not there.
"What do you want?" asked Kai, teeth clench. Raien moved from one foot to the other nervously.
"Can I sleep with you?" asked Raien. Kai's face went blank before shutting the door on Raien. Like lightning Raien stuck the pillow in the door to prevent it from closing.
'Please! I don't want to out here." Raien whined. Kai moved away from the door and Raien fell in. Walking over to the bed Kai flopped down and pulled one of the blankets to him. Raien looked around before deciding to sleep in the bed as well. He climbed in and took the other blanket, wrapping himself in it. Kai was slightly annoyed by him choosing to sleep next to them but all he wanted was sleep and couldn't care at the moment. All was peaceful for awhile before Raien started to turn uncomfortably. Kai was getting annoyed by the movement. Having enough he turned to face Raien and gave him a nice push off the bed. Raien yelped and fell to the floor. A moan of pain came from the floor. Kai pushed Raien's pillow off too.
Facing the ceiling Kai stared at the little designs that he could see through the light of the moon. A thought soon came over him.
"What are you doing here anyway?" he asked curious.
"Andhera got mad at me for some reason. She threw a pillow at me when I ran into the hall. I was going to ask for a blanket but she tripped and fell into the door closing it. It didn't open after so I figured I wasn't getting Mr. Blankie." Said Raien.
"You are an idiot." Said Kai from the bed.
"You too. Night." Said Raien from the floor. Receiving an 'Hn' from Kai he smiled and fell asleep on the floor.

Anyway 'Kazie's' belongs to me. I made it up. If there is a place called that I didn't know.
