Well it's been a while, eh? I'm sorry I haven't updated for a while. I have been extremely busy, and with me possibly getting an after school job I don't know if I will be updating as frequent, but fear not I will still update. I hope to get my other fics done this weekend.

Chapter Six – Wake Up Call

After their moment in the hallway, Kai helped Rei up the stairs (following directions by Rei) and helped the younger one to his bed. Once Rei was lying down and comfortable Kai sat down next to Rei. They sat in silence for a few minutes before something clicked in Kai's mind.

"How do you plan on getting down stairs tomorrow morning?" Rei stared at him for a minute before shrugging.

"The way I always do. I give myself a head start and sit down at the stairs and slowly slide down." He finished with a goofy smile on his face. Kai stared blankly at him. "But that doesn't matter since you're here now." Kai seemed to understand what Rei meant.

"You expect me to wait on you hand and foot?" He said raising an eyebrow.

"I don't expect you to do it. You're my boyfriend now. You're obligated to do it." Rei said in a matter-of-fact tone. Kai's mind stopped for a bit when Rei said that.

'Boyfriend.' It was something new to Kai. He knew that he was an outcast to society, and that didn't bother him. But now he felt as if he had been thrown into a brand new world which contradicted the real world. He let a small smile come to his face. Raien would finally be off his back, but being the sadist that he was told to be, he thought about refraining this new status to Raien. It's not like he had to know, right? Besides Raien had other important things to start planning for or so he told Kai.

"Kai?" a voice brought him out of his thoughts. He looked down at Rei who's eyes held a slight confusion.

"Yes."

"Nothing. Thought you left for a moment." Rei said a grin coming to his face. Kai sighed and pushed Rei further away from him. This only confused Rei more.

"Kai, what are you doing?" Kai didn't answer, but just simply lay down next to Rei.

"I have to stay till morning. There's no way I'm sleeping on the floor when this bed can hold at least four people." Kai said.

"Well I'm anchored so I can't push you off." He replied pointing quickly at his cast. Kai smirked and carefully pulled the covers from under Rei out before covering them both. Rei sighed before sliding his upper body closer to Kai. Kai wrapped an arm loosely around Rei's waist.

"Night and no bed bugs alright." Rei said yawning and snuggling into Kai's chest.

"Night."

The sun shun through the window, warming up the room quickly. Reaching the bed, the rays tickled Kai's skin making him scrunch up. Losing the battle he slowly opened his eyes. Looking around the room he remembered where he was. Looking down he realized that the supposed blankets were not on him.

Looking to his left, he was met with a mound of blankets wrapped up like a cocoon. No sign of life emitted from it. Raising the edge of a blanket slowly it was quickly pulled out of his grasp and the 'cocoon' (if possible) shrunk even more.

'I'm in love with a blanket-hog. I thought I had gotten rid of one already.' Deciding he wouldn't be getting back to sleep or blankets back, Kai stood up and stretched. Hearing his bones crack he left the room. Entering the hallway he looked around.

'For three people there sure are a lot of doors.' Kai thought. Something suddenly caught Kai's attention. It was a sound that sounded like something went through a shredder. Curious and annoyed Kai slowly made his way down the stairs. Reaching the bottom of the stairs he saw Rei's crutches on the ground. Picking them up, he brought them along to the source of the sound. Entering the kitchen he was welcomed with the sight of Raja sitting on top of the island meowing. Kai's face became cold and annoyed.

"You're what's making that horrible sound." He said plainly. The cat noticed Kai and leapt of the island, only to run up to Kai and start rubbing his body against Kai's legs. Kai walked forward only to have Raja follow and continue rubbing.

"I don't need any hair on my legs removed thank you." Kai said sarcastically. Raja looked up only to meow.

"I'm guessing you're hungry. If I feed you will you go away?" Kai asked looking down at the cat. Raja looked up and meowed. Sighing loudly Kai randomly opened cupboard doors looking for cat food. Finding a variety of cans he randomly grabbed one and opened it. Raja purred loudly before walking over to his bowl that he had pushed into the middle of the floor. Kai dumped half the can into the bowl putting the can on the counter. Satisfied, Raja began to eat. Looking around knowing he would burn down the house if he cooked, Kai grabbed Rei's crutches and made his way upstairs back to Rei.

Entering Rei's room Kai noticed that Rei was awake (or just woke up) and was sitting up looking around sleepily.

"Morning." Rei said yawning. Kai nodded in salutations before walking over to the bed. He laid the crutches down on the ground before sitting next to Rei giving a light kiss. Rei smiled when they separated only to have his face go straight. Kai was about to ask when Rei clamped a hand on his mouth. Rei listened to the sounds around the house. A big smile broke onto his face. Removing his hand from Kai's mouth he asked him a question.

"What did you do?" Kai was confused.

"What do you mean?"

"The replaying-kitty-from-hell that sounds like a broken record. What did you do?" Rei asked. Kai's eyes narrowed at the mention of the feline furball.

"That thing! I fed it, that's what."

"I think this is the first time in five years that I haven't woken up to that. And with the cast it takes longer to get downstairs so I suffer even more. Wow. You're a miracle worker." Rei said with dreamy eyes.

He pushed the covers back and Kai got up ad helped Rei out of bed. Crutches in place Rei walked to his drawer and grabbed a fresh pair of clothes. Heading over to the door (Kai tailing) Rei pointed down the hall.

"You can use that bathroom. I'll use my parents'." Rei said pointing down the hall in the opposite direction. Nodding Kai walked over to the bathroom while Rei walked to the abandon room.

After they had freshened up Kai met Rei at the stairs and was going to carry him down the stairs.

"How am I going to carry the crutches?" Kai asked. Rei held up a hand.

"No need." He said and pushed the crutches down the stairs almost knocking Raja off his feet as he happened to walk by.

"Opps. Sorry Raja." Rei said. Kai shook his head before descending. Reaching the bottom Kai put Rei down and retrieved the crutches. They then made their way to the kitchen.

"Are you hungry?" Kai asked. Rei nodded and Kai was about to get up when Rei stopped him.

"Don't worry. I have it covered." Said Rei. "Give me five seconds." Confused Kai sat for the five seconds. At the end Kai heard the front door open.

"Done." Rei said smiling and turned around. Around the corner Cal came running into the kitchen and into Rei's arms. Sitting him on his lap Rei then greeted Ann-Marie who entered the kitchen.

"Good morning Rei and Kai right?" Ann-Marie said noticing the extra presence. Kai nodded.

"So what do you want for breakfast?" Ann-Marie asked.

"Waffas!" Cal chirped. Rei nodded happily with the choice.

"Are waffles okay with you?" Rei asked Kai.

"Yeah. It's better then what the university sells." Kai answered. Ann-Marie turned to look at Kai.

"I forgot that you go to the university. You must be happy to have the weekend off."

"Very."

"That's good. Well why don't you three go to the living room for a while and I'll call you when they're done." Ann-Marie said. Rei nodded. Cal, knowing that Rei couldn't carry him quickly scrambled and hooked himself to Kai. Kai simply stared at the kid on him. Rei suppressed a laugh watching the expression on Kai's face. Sighing Kai stood up carrying Cal. Cal found it entertaining and thrilling being up so high. Walking into the living room Kai plopped Cal onto the couch, and then went to help Rei sit down. Kai then sat down next to Rei, relaxing as Rei leaned against him. Cal stared at the two; an unreadable expression on his face.

"Rei?" Cal asked. Rei nodded for him to continue not thinking of the dangers of a simple question.

"Is Kai your wusband like daddy?" Cal asked not knowing the embarrassment of that innocent question. Rei and Kai froze when they heard this. It took them a few seconds to respond.

"No. Why did you asked that Cal?" asked Rei, with wide eyes still leaning against Kai.

"Because mommy anwd daddy always sit like that." Cal said bouncing over to the two and plopping himself in Kai's lap. Kai looked down at the child then over to Rei who only smiled. Time passed by and Call started playing twenty one questions with Kai.

"Who are you?"

"Why are you tall?"

"Are you a giant?"

"Are you going to eat me?"

Questions like these ranged on throughout the time period. A while longer, Ann-Marie called them telling them that breakfast was ready. Cal gave a jump for joy (on Kai still) and raced off into the kitchen.

"Are you okay?" Rei asked seeing Kai bent over a little.

"I think so."

"Good because I wasn't planning on dragging you into the kitchen." Rei said standing up. Kai followed him slowly.

If any of you forgot, Cal and Ann-Marie are Rei's next-door neighbours. She acts as Rei's guardian, and helps him by taking care of the chores because Rei is incapable of.

Also I noticed that in the previous chapter Raja was Raji. Those were typos. I've gone back and changed it. His official name now is Raja not Raji.
