Next morning, Elsa has woken up before the sun has come up. She had a restless sleep last night, and Elsa had frosted her room again. However, this does not bother her. All Elsa does is get herself ready. Then Elsa opens the window and allows the warm summer air to take care of the frost in her room.

Once Elsa has finished with all her morning duties, she heads down to Kristian's room. As she enters the room, Elsa finds Kristian sitting on the floor with his legs crossed. Sitting facing him was Grand Pabbie. Kristian has his eyes closed and flames were coming off the corner of his shoulders. Elsa could also see that the lines that had formed on Kristian's face were still there.

"Very good, Kristian," says Grand Pabbie. "Keep controlling your breathing. Don't try and fight the fire but try and gently persuade the flames to do your will. Now, try and bring the flames down to your hands."

With this suggestion, Kristian begins to cause the flames to travel down to his hands. In a moment, the flames were in his upright palms as they continue to blaze away. "Well done," says Grand Pabbie. "Now allow these small fires to travel around the room. Use them to examine the room without using your eyes."

Kristian then extends his arms down until his hands rest on the floor. Then the flames in his hands leave his hands, and they slowly move around the floor. The flames move around everything in the room, including Grand Pabbie, Kristian, and the young troll. Soon one of the flames nears Elsa. As it gets close to her, the flame surges upward, and Elsa pulls back away from the fire. As this happens, Kristian grunts out of distress as he now tries to fight the surging fire.

Kristian, don't fight it," says Grand Pabbie. "Allow it to do what it wants, but give it a new target. Select a stone in the ceiling as the new target."

With this suggestion, Kristian refocuses his thoughts and the flame shoots upwards. This flame then hits the ceiling. While the top of the flame is against the ceiling, the lower part of the flame pulls away from the floor. In a moment, the flame has formed a ball against the ceiling. Once the flame was in this form, it begins to roll against the ceiling until it was over the top of Kristian. Then the fireball drops from the ceiling into Kristian's hands. Once the ball was in his hands, Kristian extinguishes the fire.

"Well done Kristian. You are learning to control the impulses of the curse much better," says Grand Pabbie.

"Thanks," says Kristian as he pushes himself up off the floor. Then he steps towards Elsa and says, "I'm sorry about what almost happened, Elsa."

"Don't be. I know the difficulty that you are having," replies Elsa. "However, I am glad that you are feeling better."

"That is thanks to you and a semi-restful sleep," says Kristian.

"A slight dispersal spell has help matters some as well," adds Grand Pabbie.

"So what was that the two of you were doing just now," then asks Elsa.

"It was an exercise on control," replies Grand Pabbie. "With Kristian, the curse will continue to act up. So he needs to learn how to redirect the energy."

"Basically when my magic goes off again; I should be able to focus its energy towards a less destructive outcome, to me and to what is around me," adds Kristian.

"I am glad to hear that; but what concerns me is, how long you will be able to stave off the destructive effects of the curse?" asks Elsa.

"That is difficult to say," replies Grand Pabbie. "With the proper control techniques and my magic, it could be a couple of weeks to several months. It all depends on the determination of Tollak, and Kristian's resolve."

"That is not good news," comments Elsa. "I've been told that the journey to the Fire Glacier will be several weeks just by ship. Kristian could be consumed by the curse even before I have a chance to confront Tollak."

"Elsa, I don't want you to worry about me," replies Kristian. "I have done fairly well at surviving with my powers so far. I should be able to coup with this curse of Tollak's, until you are able to return."

Just then Anna and Olaf come walking into the room. "Hi Kristian!" exclaims Olaf as he enters. "Anna and I have brought you your breakfast."

Anna, who was carrying a tray of food, sets the tray down on a table in the room. "I'm surprised that you are up already, Anna," says Elsa as Anna finishes placing the tray down.

"I knew you would be leaving as soon as possible and I didn't want you to leave without me," replies Anna.

"I made sure that she was getting up too," adds Olaf. "It's best if everyone is working together."

"I still wish that you wouldn't come, Anna," says Elsa. "It may be dangerous, and I don't want to see you get hurt."

"Because it may be dangerous, is the reason why I want to go," replies Anna. "You're my sister and my only family. I'm worried about your safety as well. So, I am going along to make sure that you will be all right."

"I will enjoy your company on this trip. We may be gone for quite a long time," says Elsa.

Now Anna looks over to Kristian and says, "So how are you doing? I see that the lines on your face haven't disappeared."

"For the most part, I am doing OK," replies Kristian. "I still don't feel like myself again, but I feel well enough to move about. I just wish that I was well enough to go with you."

"It would not be wise in your condition," interjects Grand Pabbie. "Your body is already pushed past its limits to tolerate the magic that you possess. Those lines on your face indicate that. It will take effort from both of us just to maintain your current state of health."

"I almost hate the fact that Goran came into your life," replies Anna. "Then you wouldn't have had to suffer like this."

"Hey without Goran, I wouldn't have found a new friend!" chirps Olaf. "And you'll see Anna, Elsa will be able to make Kristian feel all better."

"Yes, I'm sure that I will," adds Elsa. Then turning to Anna, Elsa says, "We should be getting ourselves ready for the journey. The ship will be leaving in about an hour."

"I will be with you in a moment, Elsa," says Anna as she watches Elsa walk out of the room. Then turning to Grand Pabbie, Anna asks, "Grand Pabbie, can I have a private word with you?"

"Of course princess," replies Grand Pabbie. Then Grand Pabbie follows Anna out into the hallway.

Once in the hallway, Anna kneels down so that she can be more face to face with Grand Pabbie. "So Princess Anna, what is it that you wanted to say," asks Grand Pabbie.

"Just now, you said that Kristian's magic is affecting his body. I want to know if the same thing could possibly happen to Elsa," asks Anna.

"It is possible that it could happen," replies Grand Pabbie. "All beings with the kind of magic that both Kristian and Elsa have may possibly have this happen. However, it will only naturally occur when an individual continually pushes their abilities to stronger strengths. However, in Kristian's case, this push came from Tollak and his curse."

"But Elsa has the power over the cold, not fire," says Anna. "Will the lines form on her face as well?"

"If it happens, and I am not saying that it will; but if it does, the first sign will be when the cold becomes part of her, not projecting from her," says Grand Pabbie. "After that has occurred, a color change will be seen."

"I'm not sure that I understand," says a puzzled Anna as she stands up. "But thank you for enlightening me. Now I have better catch up to Elsa. Otherwise, she may actually leave me behind." With this last sentence, Anna turns and hurries down the hallway to get ready for the long journey.

Just a little later in the morning, the fastest ship in Arendelle is being loaded. On the pier is Kristoff. He is helping load a sled onto the ship with several other men. Just as the sled gets onto the deck of the ship, a group shows up from the palace led by Elsa. Also in this group are Anna, Olaf, and Kristian.

"Hello Kristoff!" loudly says Elsa. "How goes the ship preparations?"

"Supplies are all loaded, and we are just finishing on getting your sled loaded," replies Kristoff. "Once we get the sled tied down, I'll get Sven on board."

"It seems we will be leaving soon," says Elsa as she turns to look at Kristian.

"I know," replies Kristian. "The last time we were down here I was the one departing. Now you are the one going on a journey, and I am the one staying behind where it is safe."

"Our roles have reversed, haven't they," says Elsa with a slight smile. "Last time we even embraced and kissed, but this time that is not going to happen."

"I wish that we could repeat that situation too," replies Kristian. "But my condition is just too unstable for us to do that now."

"Then all that I can offer you is my love, and my wishes for you to stay healthy," says Elsa as she gives a sad smile.

Kristian smiles and replies, "There hasn't been a time where you haven't offered me your love, yet I will gladly accept it this time. And I will promise to do my best to keep from getting worse."

Just then everyone hears Kristoff struggling to get Sven on board the ship. "Come on, Sven! You're holding everything up!" exclaims Kristoff as he pulls on the reindeers reins. "I know you don't like going on the water. I don't like it that much either, but Elsa needs us. And you are the best in the village at traversing the snow."

Soon Anna and Elsa begin to giggle at Kristoff's plight. "I think Kristoff is going to need some help getting Sven on board the ship," says Elsa with a smile.

"I'll help Kristoff!" chirps Olaf just before he runs off towards the village.

"Olaf! Kristoff's the other way!" loudly exclaims Elsa as she sees Olaf leave.

"What is that snowman of yours up too?" asks Anna as she addresses Elsa.

"What makes you think he is my snowman?" asks Elsa a little surprised by Anna's comment.

"Well you made him," replies Anna with a smile. "So he has to be yours."

Kristian smiles as he listens to the playful banter between the two sisters. Then Kristian says with a smile, "I don't think anyone can claim Olaf anymore. He is his own free spirit. He is just too free at times."

Once again Anna and Elsa begin to giggle; and as they do, Olaf returns. In one of Olaf's hands, he is holding a carrot. Olaf runs right past everyone; and he goes right up behind Sven, who is part way up the gang plank.

Kristoff, catch!" exclaims Olaf as he tosses the carrot over Sven to Kristoff.

Kristoff catches the carrot, and he smiles. "Thanks, Olaf!" says Kristoff just before he uses the carrot to entice Sven. "Here, Sven. See what Olaf has brought for you. If you are a good reindeer and board the ship, I'll let you have this carrot."

Sven stops resisting the pull on his reins, and he eyes the carrot hungrily. So Sven takes a step forward and tries to bite the carrot, but Kristoff takes a step back and pulls the carrot away. Again Sven tries for the carrot, and again Kristoff backs away. Finally Sven charges for the carrot. Kristoff tries to keep the carrot away from Sven, but he trips. Thus, Kristoff begins to fall backwards off of the gang plank. As he does, Kristoff tosses the carrot onto the deck of the ship; and Sven leaps onto the deck to claim his prize. Meanwhile, Kristoff manages to grab onto the side of the ship; and his feet dangle over the side.

"You crazy reindeer," exclaims Kristoff as he pulls himself onto the ship. "You won't board a ship for me, but you'll risk everything to get a dang carrot."

As all this was happening; Elsa, Anna, and Kristian began laughing at the predicament that Kristoff had gotten himself in too. "You certainly got some interesting traveling companions, Elsa," says Kristian as he tries to stop laughing.

"I know they don't look like much now," giggles Elsa. "But it is hard to find anyone that would be as loyal to me as those two will be."

Just as Elsa finishes talking, the ships bell begins to ring. With the bell sounding, the smile on Elsa's face begins to fade. "The ship is nearly ready to depart, which means that Anna and I need to get aboard," says Elsa.

"It's not a pleasant sound if you don't want to leave," adds Kristian.

"The problem is, that you will only get worse if we don't do something," says Elsa. "That is why we must leave today."

"Just be careful, Elsa," replies Kristian. "After all, you do have to take care of the most important person in my life right now."

Elsa smiles, and then she says, "Oh, and which person would that be."

"You know very well which person I mean," replies Kristian with a big grin.

"Yes, I know; and I promise that I will take very good care of her," responds Elsa with a smile. Then Elsa sighs, and then she says, "The only thing that I can do now is say goodbye."

"Ya, I guess so," replies a slightly sad Kristian. "Goodbye Elsa and good luck."

"Goodbye, and I hope we do have some luck," replies Elsa. Then Elsa begins to move towards the ship. As she does, Elsa calls back to her sister. "Are you coming, Anna?" asks Elsa.

"Just give me a second," calls back Anna.

Anna then walks up to Kristian, and Kristian has a puzzled look on his face. Then Anna quickly wraps her arms around Kristian's chest and gives him a hug. "Goodbye Kristian," says Anna.

"Anna!" exclaims Elsa as she is surprised by Anna's actions.

Kristian is also surprised by Anna's action, and he says in a puzzled voice, "Um, Anna, what are you doing?"

Anna then steps back from Kristian. Then with a smile, she says, "I was giving you a hug goodbye, since Elsa couldn't give you one. I thought that I would give you a hug for her; but if you are also expecting me to give you a kiss, you are going to be out of luck."

"I wasn't even expecting the hug," replies Kristian with a smile. "But since you are giving out hugs, can you give one to Elsa from me?"

"Of course, I will be happy to," says Anna with a smile.

"OK Anna, if you are done making me jealous, can we get aboard now?" says Elsa with a smile.

"Coming!" calls back Anna. Then turning back to Kristian, Anna says, "Bye, Kristian!" Then she hurries after Elsa.

"Bye!" calls back Kristian as he waves to Anna.

In a few moments, everyone is on board the ship; and the ship is soon on the move. As the ship leaves the dock; Anna, Elsa and Kristoff wave goodbye to Olaf and Kristian. As they wave, Anna reaches an arm around Elsa and gives her a hug. This hug causes Elsa to be surprised and bewildered by Anna's action. Meanwhile back on the dock, Kristian begins to laugh because of the action and reaction of the two sisters.

In response to her sister's action, Elsa says, "Anna, what are you doing?"

"Kristian told me to give you a hug for him. So that is what I am doing," replies a grinning Anna.

Elsa then looks back at the dock, and she can see that Kristian is laughing. Then a big smile comes to her face, and Elsa then hugs her sister back. After the hug, Elsa waves to Kristian and laughs.

Back on the dock, Olaf sees that both Elsa and Kristian are laughing. So Olaf asks, "What do you and Elsa find so amusing?"

"Oh, it is just how Elsa and I are getting around our little problem of physical contact," replies Kristian with a smile. "We're doing it by using the fun and good natured attitude of Anna."

Within a few minutes, the ship leaves the harbor of Arendelle, and Kristian and Olaf begin to head back to the palace. As the walk, flames begin to crawl up the arms of Kristian. "Hey Kristian, you are beginning to flare up," says Olaf as he looks up to Kristian.

"I know. I was controlling the flames while we were on the docks, but I need to let the fire out," replies Kristian. "If I don't, I eventually will get tired. Then I could really flame up, and I may not be able to control it."

"That's fine by me," chirps Olaf. "In fact, I think you look sort of cool with those flames flickering off of your shoulders."

Kristian looks down at Olaf and smiles. Then Kristian says, "Sometimes I just can't understand you, Olaf. I mean you are a snowman. Why aren't you afraid of hanging out with me, especially when I am flaming like this?"

"Why should I be afraid of hanging around with any of my friends?" replies Olaf with a smile. "And you are one of my best friends. Besides, you are always fun to be around, even while you flame up."

Kristian just smiles again and says, "I don't know what I did to have the luck of having a friend like you."

"Oh that is easy!" exclaims Olaf. "You showed up and you were kind to everyone, especially to Elsa. That is why I think you are the greatest friend that any person could possibly have, and I am happy to call you mine."

While Olaf and Kristian were heading to the palace, Elsa's ship was making its way through the fiord. As the ship was leaving, Anna and Elsa stood on the deck looking back at Arendelle. As they stand there, Elsa says, "I hope that Kristian will be able to resist the curse until we can get to the Fire Glacier."

"I'm sure that he will be able to," replies Anna. "Kristian is a fighter. He had to become one when he lived on a mountain."

"Yes, but this is a different kind of fight," responds Elsa. "A fight that Kristian will eventually lose, but I do hope you are right."

"I know that I am right," says Anna trying to encourage her sister. "Besides, you have arranged to have many good people to help Kristian out. Not only does he have us and Olaf, but Kristian also has Grand Pabbie and the entire Kingdom of Arendelle ready to help."

Just then from the village of Arendelle, Anna and Elsa can see a fire in the sky heading towards them. In a few moments, they can make out what this fire is. It is Mattias, and he is heading towards the ship. Soon Mattias comes and lands on the side rail of the ship near Anna and Elsa.

"Mattias, what are you doing here?" asks Elsa as she is surprised to see the firebird.

In response, Mattias screeches and flaps his wings. The firebird momentarily lifts himself off the rail before settling back down again.

"Mattias, you can't come with us," sternly states Elsa. "You need to stay with Kristian. He is the one who needs you."

This time Mattias lowers his head and hisses at Elsa for a response.

"Mattias!" exclaims Elsa as she is surprises by the firebird's defiance of her.

"Elsa, I don't think you are going to have much to say about weather Mattias comes of not," says Anna as she smiles. "Besides, there really isn't much for him to do in Arendelle. Kristian isn't likely to be spending a lot of time out in the village."

"I still don't like the idea, but fine. Mattias you can come along then," says Elsa.

In response, Mattias screeches and flies towards Elsa. So Elsa quickly raises her arm and Mattias lands on this arm. Once there, Mattias claps his beak.

"Yes, you are forgiven, you silly bird," says Elsa with a smile as she strokes the back of the firebird. "Welcome aboard."

It takes a while for the ship to get to open water. So the passengers try to settle in for the long voyage. Anna and Elsa end up sharing the largest cabin on the ship. Meanwhile, Kristoff has decided to settle down in the hold of the ship with Sven. As for Mattias, his special fire ring was placed in the galley of the ship; and this is where he chooses to rest.
