Chapter 4
The next day, Roderick was still sad after yesterday incident. He went to his locker thinking if he should go to Glee Club that evening but he decided that he should just hang out in the library. Have some peace and silence while listening music through his headphones. So he did just that. He stayed in the library listening to music on his headphones
Meanwhile, all the Glee members have gathered except for Roderick. They didn't noticed it at first but Jane certainly noticed it. Jane always thought that she would always see him everytime she went to the choir room.
"Have any of you guys seen Roderick?" Jane asked the others while looking at them
"I haven't seen him. Maybe he went home already" Spencer said and Kitty nodded in agreement
"Why the sudden interest?" Kitty asked her and she blushed
"It's nothing. It's really rare not to see him here" Jane said as she tried not to blush even more. She was really concern of Roderick. For her, Roderick was her bestfriend. She and him was the earliest member of the New Direction.
"I'm sure he is fine Jane. Don't you worry too much about him" Mason said as he tried to calm her and she nodded
"You're right. Maybe I was too concern" Jane said as she took a seat beside him
"Are you guys ready?" Rachel said enthusiastically as she went in
"Yes but where is Mr. Hummel?" Madison asked her and they all nodded in unison
"Kurt has some work to do so he can't joined us" Rachel said and they nodded
"Does it have something to do with Mr. Anderson?" The twins asked while looking at her
"I don't know honestly. Look, Kurt and Blaine are not dating right now. They broken up but I don't know if they got back together"
"That's a shame. They were great for each other. Am I right Spencer?" Kitty said and Spencer just nodded slowly
"Well, who's excited for some singing?" She asked and all of them raised their hands enthusiastically
"Can we go first?" Mason asked and Rachel nodded
"Go ahead" Rachel said while nodding. Mason got up and held out his hand which Jane happily took it. They took a stool and sat side by side.
"We'll be singing Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Cailatt" Jane said and all of them paid close intention
They looked at each other while smiling shyly. Then the music started playing
(Mason)

Jane and Mason stood up looking at each other eyes. The others kept looking at them smiling
"I'm going to puke if they kiss" Kitty said and they chuckled
(Mason)
And so I'm sailing through the sea

Before they even noticed, Jane and Mason was dancing wrapped in each other arms. The room was silent as both of them couldn't stare away from each other eyes
(Jane)

At the end of the song. They were smiling widely at each other as they kept looking at each other. Then Mason started to lean closer to her causing their lips to kiss. All the other member was shocked. Some giggled while some of them annoyed and on the brink of puking. Jane quickly backed away and broke from his arm. She ran out from the choir room shocking everyone especially Mason
"You shouldn't have kissed her dude" Spencer said and Madison furiously nodded
"I told you not to rush things. Now look what happened" She said as she ran after Jane. Spencer and Kitty followed behind while Mason just stood there shocked
After 30 minutes, they still couldn't find her so they went back to the choir room
"We couldn't find her. Where could she be?" Kitty said while Spencer and Madison sighed
"If we do find her, you must apologise to her Mason" Madison said while Kitty and Spencer nodded in agreement
At the same time, Roderick was walking out from the library wearing his headphones when he decided to go to the roof. He wanted to have some fresh air.
He went to the roof peeking to see if anyone was there. A girl at the corner of his eye caught his attention. He slowly walked towards her as he didn't know what to say to her. As he kept moving closer. He felt like he knew the girl and when he stood in front of her, he knew exactly who she is
"Jane?" Roderick asked and she looked behind slowly with tears flowed from her cheeks
"Roderick? What are you doing here?" Jane said as she tried to wipe her tears
"I'm not important. Why are you crying? What happened?" Roderick said as he took a seat beside her.
"It's nothing." Jane said as she sat up. Roderick looked at her with a concern face
"You wouldn't be crying if it is nothing. You can tell me" Roderick said holding her hand tightly and that managed to calm her a little
"Mason kissed me." Jane said and Roderick was shocked then he sighed
"And you cried here because of that? Isn't that what a couple do? Kiss each other?" Roderick said and Jane looked down
"Yeah, couple's do that but I want to take it slowly, I only dated him for 2 weeks. I don't wanna start kissing everywhere" Jane said as she held on to his hands
"Well you should tell him that." Roderick told her
"I know and I feel bad at running away from the choir room. That reminds me. Why didn't you in the choir room?" Jane asked and Roderick tried to look away
"Uhm. I have some reasons and one of them is I needed some time alone" Roderick said and Jane looked at him
"Did something happened?"
"Nothing serious. Don't worry about it." Roderick said with a smile as he wiped her tears
"Keep smiling Jane. You're more beautiful that way" Roderick said and Jane managed to smile
"That's the Jane that I know. Now shall we go back to the choir room?" Roderick said as he bend down
"What are you doing?" Jane said curiously
"Let me carry you back to the choir room. It is a long way from here to the choir room. You will be exhausted" Roderick said and Jane climbed on to his back
"Thank you Roderick. For helping me with this." Jane said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek
"You're welcome. And I will always be at your side" Roderick said and both of them blushed. Jane's heart was beating fast. Her heart was beating fast when she was with Mason but it beats faster when she was with Roderick.
Roderick carried her to the Choir room. He entered it and all of them stood up
"Where were you Jane? We were so worried" Madison said and Jane got down from Roderick
"I was on the roof. Roderick found me" Jane said and walked towards Mason. Spencer and Kitty patted Roderick's back
"Look Jane. I am so sorry"
"It's alright Mason. Look. I want to take this slow and steady alright?"
"I'm okay with it" Mason said as he hugged her. This time Jane kissed his lips. Roderick just looked at them with a smile. He was happy for her even though it was not him that she is kissing.
