Authors Note: Just a quick chapter to set the scene. I uploaded it earlier but it had some random html coding stuff since it was uploaded from my Ipod, should be fixed now.

It was hard to watch them together. Even when Haruhi wasn't dressed as a girl, she was sooo cute! All I wanted to do was hug her and kiss her. Yes I knew I had feelings for her. After I saw Kyoya and her kiss they became very apparent. Hitting me like a ton of bricks, I knew I couldn't stand for it.
I knew their relationship would never work. She belonged with someone like me. Someone who would whoo her at every turn and treat her like a fragile porcelain doll. I mean that's how all girls wanted to be treated. Girls liked to be treated like princess who can't do anything. Of course Haruhi was a slight exception but I mean, she's still a girl deep down. I would sweep her away from that dangerous Kyoya and make her love me. Kyoya would only cage her, restricting her from the things she wanted entirely. I would be better. We would marry, have 5 kids and she could work as a lawyer part time and be a housewife the rest. It would be exactly what she wanted!
The dance was killing me. The first part was alright, she danced with other girls like normal. I of course treated my princess perfect like the princely character I am. Yet I couldn't stop sneaking peaks at her out of the corner of my eyes. Soon I was pulled away from watching her by another princess. Attracting my attention was a tall stunning girl who seemed to have all eyes on her. Long black hair tied in an elegant twist and a slim figure. Bright innocent seeming blue eyes were accented by extravagant makeup. Obviously rich since her strapless pink sparkling dress was designer. Obviously she wasn't why as she strolled right up to me, the hem of the dress dragging across her knees as she walked. I could not say no to such a lovely and well bred girl when she asked for a dance. Haruhi could wait a little while longer for me to sweep her off her feet. (Sorry I sort of wanted to make Tamaki a little like a player here)
Due to this girl and yes I am blaming her, I missed Haruhi coming out of the change room. Nor did I see the other girls staring in envy at her as Kyoya left his princess to go to her. Let me get you started on what is wrong here.
#1- How dare Kyoya leave his princesses! They above all are his first priority, I told him this. This way he couldn't dance with Haruhi.
#2- Haruhi did not come straight to show daddy how wonderful she looked and ask me to dance her first dance like a daughter should.
#3- Kyoya kissed her on the cheek as he asked her to dance. An obvious sign that they were dating! Now irks would stop coming to the host club because they knew he had a girlfriend. Never mind that he rarely saw customers anyways.
The beautiful girl I had been with left to dance with one of the newly returned twins, I didn't bother seeing which one. All I could see was MY Haruhi looking so beautiful and innocent as she walked to Kyoya. I could see exactly how this night would play out in my head. She would be mine! It was destiny, written in the stars that we'd be together.
*Tamaki inner mind theater*
Haruhi dressed in a pink flowing ball-gown (yes he did see her, he knows it's not pink but hey, it's his messed up head) stands shyly on the corner. Her makeup would cover any flaws and paint her cute lips with a pink shimmer. I would make my way over to her and bow as I extend my hand to her. "Dance with me Haruhi?" I would ask with twinkles in my eyes. Blushing she would slip her small gloved one in mind. Pulling her close we would dance until I noticed she was looking around and then down.
"What is it love?" I would ask with a concerned look, using one hand to make her face me.
"The other girls are watching me" she would whimper weakly.
"That's because nothing compares to your physical beauty. You outshine them. They could only hope to ever reach your level of stunning my dear, for you are the princess and they just simple commoners "
"Oh Tamaki" she'd swoon. As she met my eyes I would lean down and we'd kiss. It would be sweet and passionate, all my love put into it. I'd ask her to go out with me and she'd say yes, that she would forget about Kyoya since I was better.
*End (impossible) inner mind theater*
This was how tonight would go! I will win over the princess Haruhi and treat her with delicacy. She was a girl after all, a very strange one. I mean, how else would she tolerate kissing the shadow king. It was only then that I noticed she had not come over here.
Seeing her smiling up at Kyoya was strange. His face was expressionless but his eyes were different. Even hidden behind his normal facade it was off. They were warmer and softer the minute they fell on his wig wearing companion. Cool grey met warm brown and both just smiled. Haruhis showing across her face while Kyoyas was just a small upturn on his lips. I saw it though!
Why? Why did it have to be her? Why did she like him? Why couldn't she like me? I was the king, president of our club and I was the princely type. Perfection for girls like Haruhi, or so I'd thought. Yet now I had to watch her in the arms of my best friend. How could she do this to me? How could he? Kyoya knew how I felt and yet he still kissed her! It wasn't my problem, it was theirs. Oh how he would lay for stealing my girl!
This was what was on my mind as my face hardened. Girls sensed something was wrong and slowly moved away from me. With my mouth in a hard line I began to move toward them. Each step though unheard in the loud ballroom, echoed loudly in my ears. Oh yes, he would pay for this treason.
