THE FIRST GYM BATTLE YAY! :D
We walked into the gym. It was big, had blue bleachers, and brown ring with a white pokeball in the middle of the gym. I wasn't expecting a crowd of people here, but I checked the huge clock of the above the bleachers it had 4:33 on it. We saw people staring at us and murmuring as we walked into the gym then I saw a girl she looked about 12, she had auburn hair up in a ponytail, blue eyes, tan skin, was wearing a black t-shirt, had tight blue jeans, black fingerless gloves, and brown boots standing in the middle of the arena. I'm guessing she was the gym leader.
"So do you wanna go first Rey?" I asked.
"Hell yeah! You guys go get some seats." He said.
"Well I got to tell I'm going to challenge her after you." I said.
"Oh yeah sorry. I'm just so excited." Rey said with glee.
Momoko and Sasha got to their seats. Rey and I walked up to the girl.
"Uh...hi!" I shouted nervously.
She looked at me and Rey. "So who are two?" she asked.
"I'm Rey Takashi and the nervous one is Armin Grau."
"Hey I'm Vicky the Aaron Town Gym Leader." she said.
"Him and I are here to challenge you, but Rey will go first." I said.
"Alright just wait for my Pokemon to heal and you two go sit over there." she pointed to the three gray fold-able chairs. Rey and I walked to there and sat down. Few minutes we see a man walk out with three pokeballs and handed them to Vicky. "Well Rey let's go!" Vicky said. Rey walked onto the ring he was on left-side and she was on the right. The crowd got quiet. They both reached for their pokeballs and threw them. The crowd got silent.
"Go! Aipom!" Vicky shouted.
"Ai Aiiiiii!" the Pokemon yelled. The Pokemon is a monkey-like Pokemon with a three-fingered hand at the end of its tail. Its fur is purple, while the skin of its face, inner ears, belly, feet, and the tip of its tail is beige. On its face are a usually cheeky smile and round, blue eyes. Supplemented by its round ears, It's head is disproportionately large compared to its body. Unlike its feet, It's arms are simple, purple stubs.
"Go! Asura!" Rey shouted.
"Teeeeeepiiiiiig!" Asura shouted. The Pokemon looked battle ready. It looked like everyone was holding their breath wondering who would make the first moves.
"Asura use Ember!" Rey commanded. Tepig shot a wave of embers at the Aipom.
"Dodge Aipom! Then use Scratch!" Vicky shouted. The Aipom moved with astounding speed and scratched Asura. Asura fell to the ground and slide back a few feet.
"C'mon Asura get up and use Tackle!"
"Aipom dodge!" she shouted. Asura ran up to the Aipom and tackled it to the ground then jumped off of it. "Now! Use Ember!" the Tepig spat a little flame and it hit the Aipom. "Aipom! Return!" Vicky said. Her Aipom turned into red energy and returned to its pokeball. She grabbed another pokeball and threw it. "Go! Hoothoot!" then a small, brown owl-like pokemon came out.
"Hoothoot use Peck!" Vicky commanded.
"Asura dodge!" Rey shouted. It was too late Asura got hit with the move.
Asura got up weakly. "Asura use Ember!"
"Hoothoot dodge then use Peck again!" Hoothoot did what it was asked and hit Asura again. Asura got knocked out. "Asura return!" the Tepig turned into red energy and went back to his pokeball. Rey reached for another pokeball.
"Azula you got this!" Rey yelled.
"Eeeeeeev!" Azula shouted happily.
"Hoothoot use Tackle!" Vicky shouted.
"Azula use Sand Attack!" The Hoothoot came rushing at Azula, but Azula kicked sand in Hoothoot's face. It started rubbing its eyes.
"Now Azula use Swift!"Azula obeyed ans shot out stars at the Hoothoot. It got knocked out. "Hoothoot return." the Pokemon went back into its pokeball.
"Wow down to my last Pokemon your pretty good Rey, but I don't think your ready for my last Pokemon." Vicky smiled.
"Heh bring it on!" Rey shouted back.
"Go! Herdier!" Vicky through the pokeball and is a light brown, canine Pokemon with a short snout. Its face has long, cream fur, which forms a mustache and a three-pointed crest. Its ears are large and perked, and it has a black nose. It has shaggy dark blue fur covering its body and short tail. It has four short legs, with three-toed paws.
"Herdier use Bite!"
"Azula do-" Rey couldn't finish because the Herdier already had its teeth in the Eevee.
"No! Azuuuuulaaaaaa!" Rey cried.
"Pretty fast huh? Get last Pokemon out already." she said with a smug smile.
"Azula return!" the Pokemon returned to her pokeball. Rey got his pokeball and threw it.
"Go! Rook!"
"Cheeeespin!" Rook looked ready to go.
"Herdier use Bite." Vicky ordered.
"Rook you know what to do!" Rey said with complete trust in his Pokemon. Rook nodded back and dodged the Herdier's attack.
"Herdier use Take Down!" The Herdier ran Rook, but Rooked dodged.
"Now Rook! Use Vine Whip!"
"Cheeeeeeespiiiiin!" Rook yelled as he summoned vines from his back and whipped the Herdier.
"Heeeeeerd!" it yelped in pain.
"Herdier get up and use Bite!" Vicky shouted. Herdier got up, ran at Rook, and opened its mouth. He bit Rook.
"Ches Ches Pin Piiiin!" Rook said he started whipping the Herdier with his vines. Herdier yelped in pain and let go.
"Alright! Now Rook use Rollout!" Rey shouted.
"Ches!" Rook nodded at Rey. He curled up into a ball and rolled at the Herdier. That Herdier was down for the count. Everyone in the stands started cheering.
"Well it looks like you won, Rey good job." Vicky said as she returned her Herdier back to its pokeball.
"Thanks." he said as he returned Rook to his pokeball.
"Well I guess you deserve this for winning." she reached into her pocket and gave Rey his badge.
"Woah! Awesome!" Rey exclaimed.
"Yep. That's the Platonic Badge it shows your first step as a true Pokemon Trainer."
"Wow I'm true Pokemon Trainer now!" Rey held his badge in the air and the crowd cheered louder. Then he walked to where I was
"Heal my Pokemon Sebastian and Armin your up next." she said as she handed her pokeballs to the man. Momoko ans Sasha ran up to where Rey and I were sitting. The crowd started murmuring again.
"Wow congrats Rey." Sasha said.
"Yeah way to go." Momoko chimed in.
"Proud of you bro." I said as I bumped fist with Rey.
"Hahaha thanks guys, but that was tough battle. Hey Armin watch out for her alright?"
"Don't worry I will." I said.
"Hey! Armin! get up here."
"Looks like I'm next." I said. I got up and positioned myself the opposite way from Vicky. The crowd got silent again.
"You ready for this?" Vicky asked.
"Yeah I am!" I shouted with confidence. We both threw our pokeballs.
"Go! Flytrap!" I shouted.
"Go! Hoothoot!" Vicky shouted. Both Pokemon were ready to battle.
"Hoothoot use Peck!"
"Flytrap dodge!" I already had a strategy ready. Sure enough Flytrap dodged.
"Now use Sleep Powder!" I shouted.
"Bell!" Flytrap said in reassuring me. He then shot green powder from his hands and it made the Hoothoot fall asleep.
"Huh! Hoothoot wake up!" Vicky yelled, but the Hoothoot didn't respond.
"Flytrap finish it with Vine Whip!" the Bellsprout then vine whipped the Hoothoot and it was knocked out.
"Hoothoot return! Go! Aipom!" Vicky cried.
"Aipooom" it flipped and landed as it came out of its pokeball.
"Aipom use Scratch!" Aipom came runnig towards Flytrap.
"Flytrap dodge!" Flytrap sidestepped out of the way.
"Again Aipom!" the Aipom scratched Flytrap's back.
"Beeeeeeeeeell!" Flytrap yelled as he fell to the ground.
"Now use Swift, Aipom!"
"Ai Ai!" then the Aipom shot stars out its tail.
"Flytrap use Poison Powder!" Both attacks hit there target, but Flytrap got KO'd.
"Flytrap return!" I said as he returned to his pokeball.
"Good last resort attack." Vicky said.
"Hmph! Thanks. Go Azure!" I shouted as I threw the pokeball.
"Frooooooooakiiieee!" Azure said.
"Aipom use Swift!" Vicky shouted. The rest of the battle was Azure dodging the Aipom's moves till it fainted from the poison.
"Good strategy Armin."
"Thanks." I said with a smile.
"Wipe off that smile! Go Herdier!" Vicky threw the pokeball.
"Heeeeeerdieeer!" it shouted.
"Azure use Bubble!" I commanded.
"Dodge Herdier!" she shouted back. Herdier dodged the bubbles. Most of the battle was Azure and Herdier dodging each other's attacks. They were both tired now.
"This has been going on for too long! Herdier us Take Down!"
"I agree! Azure use Quick Attack!" the two Pokemon charged at each other, they collided, and dust went up everywhere. Everyone was holding their breath to see who won the outcome. The dust finally settled. Azure was knocked out, but Herdier looked weakened. Maybe Kuro could take him out.
"Azure return!" I said as he went back to his pokeball.
"Alright Kuro come on out!" I shouted as I threw the pokeball.
"Eeeeeeeveee!" he shouted.
"Kuro?" Vicky said confused.
"I want him to be an Umbreon alright."
"Okay that makes sense." she said.
"Now Kuro use Swift!"
"Eev" Kuro turned his head to the left-side.
"Huh?" I said perplexed.
"Looks like he doesn't want to listen to you." Vicky said laughing.
"Kuro use Swift!" I shouted through gritted teeth.
"Eev." he said shaking his head.
"Use Swift!" I shouted. The crowd started laughing except for my reasons.
"Eevee Eev Eev Eevee Eevee!" sounded like he was cussing me out in Pokemon language.
"Herdier use Take Down." Vicky shouted. Herdier took down Kuro and knocked him out. "Return Kuro." He went back into the pokeball. All I heard was laughter around me. I was so embarrassed. I just ran out of the Gym. "Come back tomorrow if you want a rematch!" Vicky shouted. Once I got outside I sat on slumped down on the Gym wall. My friends walked out a few minutes later.
"Hey Armin you okay?" Momoko asked.
"NO! I'M NOT ALRIGHT! I JUST FUCKING LOST IN FRONT OF ALL THOSE PEOPLE AND THEY LAUGHED!" I exploded.
"Hey take it easy! Momoko didn't do anything to you!" Sasha shouted.
"No it's ok." Momoko said through tears as she ran off.
"Wait Momoko! Now look what you did Armin!" Sasha said as she chased after her.
"Whoa bro I've never seen you explode like that before." Rey said.
"I didn't mean I just-"
"Hey don't worry about you just lost and people laughed at you. I get it."
"No you don't Rey. You won and they didn't laugh at you."
"Well you know what I mean I feel what you feel and vice versa."
"Whatever I'm going to the Pokemon Center and then training my Pokemon." I said bitterly.
"Alright man. We'll be at Aaron Town Hotel if you come back man."
I went to the Pokemon Center that was a few blocks away from the Gym. I walked in was greeted by nurse. I put my pokeballs on the healing machine. I told the nurse goodbye and I went to Route 3 to train my Pokemon. The training with my pokemon was good except my Eevee still wasn't listening to me. After a few hours after getting tired of Kuro's shit. I just returned my pokemon back their pokeballs and went to the Aaron Town Hotel. When entered I asked the woman at the counter where my room was. She told me it was room 187 and I'm sharing it with Rey. I walked into the room and greeted Rey then flopped on my bed and went to sleep.
I woke up at 8:00 a.m. and had breakfast. After breakfast I trained my Pokemon some more. Kuro still wasn't listening to me. I looked at my PokeDex to see the time. It read 11:58 a.m. "Awesome" I said aloud as I returned my Pokemon. I went to the hotel woke everyone else up. We went to the Gym doors and we walked inside. I pulled Momoko back a little bit as Sasha and Rey went to go find there seats.
"Hey Momoko?" I said.
"Yeah?" she said confused.
"Sorry for exploding on you like that yesterday."
"It's okay really it is. I understand you were upset."
"But it wasn't okay because I made you cry."
"Well thanks for the apology Armin and good luck." she said with a smile.
"Thanks. Now go get a seat." I smiled back.
We walked in and she went to Rey and Sasha over in the crowd was murmuring and making fun of me as I walked onto the ring. I saw Vicky with her arms crossed and smug grin
"Some you came for a rematch!?" she shouted mockingly.
"Hell yeah I did! Now let's do it!" I shouted back. We got into our positions and reached for our pokeballs.
"Go! Flytrap!"
"Go! Hoothoot!" she shouted.
"Beeeeeeeeell!"
"Aiiiiiiiiipom!"
"Wow using your Bellsprout first again?"
"Yep because I just realized your weak points from our battle yesterday." I said.
"Shut up you cocky bastard! Aipom use Scratch!"
"Alright Flytrap not yet." I said as the Aipom got closer.
"Now!" I shouted. Then Flytrap used his new move Wrap. Aipom screamed in pain.
"What!?"
"Surprised Vicky? You should be cause I did a little training last night." I said smugly.
"Flytrap use Sleep Powder!" Flytrap did what he was told. Green powder went up his vines, around the Aipom, and put him to sleep.
"Now use Vine Whip!" Flytrap let go of Aipom and whipped it until it was knocked out.
"Aipom come back. Hoothoot go!" as she switched pokeballs.
"Hoooooooothoooooot!" it screeched.
"Flytrap use Vine Whip!"
"Dodge and use Peck, Hoothoot!" The hoothoot dodged and hit Flytrap dead on, knocking out my Pokemon.
"Flytrap return. Azure let's go!" I threw the pokeball.
"Hoothoot use Peck!"
"Oh my god does your Hoothoot know anything else!" I shouted annoyed.
"Well of course it's just I always use my most powerful moves."
"Idiot! Azure dodge and use Water Pulse!" I exclaimed. Azure moved out of the way and launched a water ball from his hand hitting the Hoothoot.
"Quick Attack!" I shouted. Azure ran at the Hoothoot and punched him in the face and thus knocking out the Hoothoot.
"You bastaaaaard! Herdier!"
"Heeeeeerdier!" it shouted.
"Azure, Water Pulse now!" I shouted.
"Froa." he nodded in agreement.
"Dodge and then use Take Down!" Herdier dodged the attack and took down Azure knocking him out.
"Looks like your down to that one Pokemon that doesn't listen."
"Shut up!" I said while looking at my last pokeball.
"I'm counting on you! Let's go Kuro!"
"Eeeeeeeeveeeeeee!" he said.
"Herdier use Take Down." Vicky shouted.
"Dodge Kuro!" I yelled. He didn't listen again and got hit.
"Eeeeeeev!" he shouted in pain.
"Why bother with this rematch if you gonna lose?"
"Because I will WIN!" I shouted.
"Oh my Arceus you're worthless! Herdier, Take Down again!"
"Kuro dodge now!" he didn't move and he yelled in pain again.
"Just one more move and you lose again. Herdier use Bite!" Vicky shouted.
"Kuro get up and use Swift! You don't everyone laughing at us again do you!?" I cried. In that moment Kuro got up and seemed like by what yesterday hurt him.
"EEEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEE!" he said shooting stars at Herdier. They must have been pretty powerful because Herdier yelped in pain and fainted. The crowd was silent and then started to cheer. I picked up Kuro and help him over my head and smiled. He was smiling too as him and I were bathed in applause. Vicky returned her Pokemon and gave me the Platonic Badge.
"Good job Armin."
"Thanks Vicky."
"Now get out of my Gym!" she yelled.
My friends and I walked out of the Gym and started walking towards the Pokemon Center. I returned Kuro to his pokeball.
"Hey congrats bro on getting that badge!" Rey said.
"Yeah great job!" Sasha exclaimed.
"Yeah that battle was awesome!" Momoko shouted.
"Thanks guys. While I walk into the Pokemon Center, Momoko can use check the map to tell us where were heading to next?" I asked.
"Sure." she said. I handed her the black tablet and walked into the Pokemon Center. The same nurse from yesterday greeted me and healed my Pokemon. I thanked her, grabbed my pokeballs, and left.
I walked out the doors and Momoko gave me my map back and told me we were going to Route 4, then going through Nexus Cave, and then we stop at Beyo Town. We started walking towards the Route 4 gate and we passed through it.
Chapter 7 & 8 next week! Beyo Town is pronounced (bay-yo). BYE GUYS!
