WELL HERE WE GO!
Route 6 was slightly colder than the other routes because it was raining. I heard the stories that Route 6 and 7 were always raining, but I didn't think they were true. Route 6 was forest, but had a lot of mud in it. We walked in the mud for hours. All of our shoes were muddy. After walking in the rain we found the Rok Inn. We inside and paid to get rooms there, the lady offered to wash our shoes, and it would only take a few hours. We all said yes. We all went to the vending machines and got some snacks and drinks while we waited for our shoes to be clean.
"You know once our shoes are clean we gotta search for a Goomy?" Rey said.
"Says who?" Sasha said.
"Well I just thought may-"
"You thought wrong because we are not going with you to search for a pokemon you want." Sasha was starting to get angry.
"I'll go with you Rey. What about you Momoko?" I said.
"I'm with Sasha on this one and besides it's raining pretty hard out there."
"Well Rey I guess it's just you and me."
"Right." We both fist bumped each other.
After the conversation we started talking about our plans for Cryst City. We talked about that for about an hour and then lay came back with our shoes washed. Rey and I thanked the woman. We both put our shoes back on and ran out the door. We started walking in the forest.
"So where do Goomys usually live?" I asked.
"They live in mud sometimes and near bodies of water like rivers or lakes." Rey said while scoping deep into the forest.
"What do they look like?"
"Goomy looks like a light purple, vaguely slug-like pile of goo. The top half of its body is a lighter purple than its bottom half, and the two halves are separated by a squiggly, dark purple outline decorated with five green dots. It has beady eyes, and it has two rows of two horn-like structures on top of its head."
"Wow you really know your stuff about Goomy." I said.
"Yeah I do." Rey said with a smile.
"Why are you obsessed with Goomys?"
"Because they're cool and my grandpa used to have one when I was little."
"What happened?"
"A Zangoose killed it and one day I'll find that Zangoose and Rook and I will whoop his ass."
"Well I don't think you'll find that Zangoose."
"Why not?"
"Because Zangoose are the third most common pokemon in Ariecor."
"I remembered what he looked like. He is missing one eye, has scar across his chest, and is missing his right ear."
"Yeah, but he could be long gone by now."
"No he's not because he still resides in Route 1."
"No he doesn't!" I exclaimed.
"Yes he does!" Rey yelled.
"How do you know?"
"Because I saw him looking at us through the trees on first the day."
"Oh."
"Let's search for a Goomy come on!" he started sprinting. I followed him. For some who wheres boots he's pretty fast. We stopped at a river.
"Alright start searching Armin."
"Yes captain." I said.
"Shut the fuck up." Rey started laughing.
"Okay."
"Alright help me search Rook!" Rey threw the pokeball.
"Chespin!" Rook shouted.
"Zephyr let's go!" I threw my pokeball.
"Noibat!" Zephyr yelled.
"Good thinking Armin." Rey said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Using a Pokemon that can fly can cover a lot more ground alright I'll go up the river bank and you go down it."
"Got it."
"We meet back in ten."
"Alright." I said. Rey ran up the river bank with Rook. I turned to Noibat and explained that we were saerching for a Goomy. She looked confused probably because she didn't know what it looked like. I told her what a Goomy looked like and I told her to fly above me. She nodded and took off. I was searching down the river bank and the only I found were Poliwags and pokemon that were a dark blue, bipedal Pokemon that resembles a poison dart frog. They had yellow eyes, which are surrounded by black markings. There are orange, expandable pouches on their cheeks, and their teeth are wide and flat. A black marking encircles their upper arms and chest, and there are white bands around their chest. They have three fingers and toes, most of which are black. The only digits that are not black are their center fingers, which are orange instead. I took my PokeDex out and scanned a group of them.
"Croagunk the Toxic Mouth Pokemon. It is 2'3.6'' and 50.71 lbs. It is a Poison/Fighting Type. Inflating its poison sacs, it fills the area with an odd sound and hits flinching opponents with a poison jab." I walked around a little bit more searching high and low and then I heard a loud noise. I turned around to see if it was a pokemon, but I saw a tree on fire. Oh shit that was lightning. I saw a figure running and getting closer. It was Rook.
He saw me and tugged at my pant leg.
"What is it Rook?"
"Ches Ches Pin Chespin!" He sounded scared.
"Rey fell into the river!" I was shocked.
"Heeeeeeelp!" Rey screamed. We saw him zip right past us.
"Zephyr follow me!" I yelled. We then ran down the river bank. We were behind Rey.
"Alright Zephyr look for a long branch and I'll jump in and get Rey."
"Chespin Ches!?" He said with anger.
"Well the current is too strong for you."
"Chespin Ches Pin Pin Ches!" He dived into river.
"Rook nooooooooo!" I screamed. Rey will be devastated if Rook dies.
Then all of sudden blue light was glowing under the water and water was bubbling above it. Then a a bipedal, mammalian Pokémon with some plant-like features. He was largely covered in an armor-like shell similar to that of a chestnut. The armor is green in coloration with two large spines jutting out like ears. These spines and his pointed tail have red tips, and there are banded segments on the back of the shell. The lower half of the body is brown, and it has a three-pointed patch of fur decorating the front. His stubby limbs are brown, but the top surfaces of the arms are protected by green, banded armor. He had three white, clawed digits on his hands and two on his feet. The face is exposed and unarmored, being light brown in color. He has a small, pink nose and a pointed snout, with a three-pointed patch of brown fur extending out like hair. He had brown triangles mark its cheeks, had wide eyes, and with buck teeth popped out of the water and started swimming towards Rey. "What did Rook just evolve into to?" I asked myself. Zephyr returned with a super long branch and she handed it to me. I saw Rook grab Rey and grab onto a rock sticking out of the water. It looked like Rook was losing his grip. I stopped on the river bank and extended the branch out. Rook grabbed onto the branch and I dragged him in. Rey was limp.
"Is Rey..." I said with a sad gaze.
"Quilladin." he shook his head and the collapsed from exhaustion. I gave Rey CPR, he coughed up water, and passed out again. I grabbed Rey and threw him over my shoulder. Zephyr picked up Rook. We went back to the inn and brought them into the lobby.
"Oh my Arceus what happened!?" Sasha screamed.
"Rey fell into the river." I said.
"Take to me and Sasha's room I'll make sure him and his-" Momoko said.
"Yeah his Rook evovled, but I don't know what he is."
"Well take them both to Me and Sasha's room and Sasha warm up the towels." Momoko ordered.
"Why our room!?" Sasha complained.
"Don't ask fucking questions Sasha! Just do what I sa! Besides our room is closer." Momoko yelled. Sasha got scared and ran past me to her and Momoko's room. Zephyr and I laid Rey and Rook on the bed. I returned Zephyr and I emptied Rey's PokeDex onto a towel so it could dry off. It had two notifications on it, but I didn't look at it. I pulled out my PokeDex and scanned Rook.
"Quilladin the Spiny Armor Pokemon. It is 2'3.6'' and 63.93 lbs. It evolves from Chespin and It is a Grass Type. They strengthen their lower bodies by running into one another. They are very kind and won't start fights. He knows the moves Headbutt, Vine Whip, Rollout, and Pin Missile." I put my PokeDex away and sat in a chair beside the bed. Sasha came out with warm towels and handed them to Momoko. She out the towels on Rey and Rook's heads. It was an hour before Rey and Rook woke up.
"Is Rook...okay?" Rey asked weakly.
"Yeah and he's right beside you." Rey looked over and screamed a little bit.
"Are you sure...that's Rook?" He said with excitement in his eyes.
"Yeah he evolved into a Quilladin just to save you."
"Quilladin!" Rook stood up proudly. Rey smacked Rook, but then gave him a hug.
"Thanks, but Rook you could've died."
"Quill Quill Quilladin."
"I know, but what would have I done without you little buddy." Rey said with a smile while still hugging Rook.
"Hey you also got two notifications on your PokeDex." I handed it to Rey. He let go, but still had one arm on Quilladin and clicked on the first notification.
"Your Chespin has evolved into Quilladin! Quilladin the Spiny Armor Pokemon. It is 2'3.6'' and 63.93 lbs. It evolves from Chespin and It is a Grass Type. They strengthen their lower bodies by running into one another. They are very kind and won't start fights."
"Already knew that." Rey laughed.
"Quilladin learned Pin Missile."
"I can't wait to use that." he said.
"Rey how did you fall into the river?" Momoko asked.
"Yeah I was wondering that too." I chimed in.
"Well when me and Rook were searching for a Goomy. Then all of sudden I heard a loud, crashing noise. It scared me I lost my balance and fell in."
"So you fell in when you heard thunder?" I laughed.
"Hey man shut up I thought it was a large Pokemon going to get me and Rook." Rey said.
"Now that Rook and you are okay can you go to your guys' room now?" Sasha asked.
"Alright. Rook return." Rey said. We walked back to our room and went into our beds.
"Sorry we couldn't find a Goomy, Rey." I said.
"It's alright Armin. There's always tomorrow and Route 7.
"Oh okay."
"And thanks Armin."
"It wasn't me it was Rook."
"Yeah, but you and Zephyr brought us back."
"Welcome bro. Good night." I said.
"Good night." he said. As we both turned over and went to sleep.
