LADIES AND THE GENTLEMEN! THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR THE FINALE OF THE POKEMON ADVENTURES OF ARMIN & PALS PART ONE!
After we looked at the the huge city filled with light tan and brown buildings we walked into it.
"Rey are you ready?" I asked while we were walking.
"I'm ready as I'll ever be." Rey said clenching his fist. We walked to a the gym building. As we got closer to the building we saw Xavier.
"Hey Xavier!" I shouted. He looked at us, scoffed, and then went inside the gym. The gym was a gray building and had a brown roof. The sign on the left side of doors read "Digons City Gym. Gym Leader: Landon, Ground Type Pokemon are used here. Can only use four Pokemon in your party to battle. Gym Hours: 5:00 am-9:00 pm." We already knew it was already past 5:00. We walked inside the gym and it had to platforms that stood three feet above the ground and parallel from each other and the battlefield below was a semi-cracked rock surface with rock and boulders sticking out of the ground. On the left platform we saw a tall, muscular, darkskinned man with short cropped black hair, he wore a bartender suit even when the five of us were kids, and he had scruffy beard. We took our seats in the silver bleachers.
"Why hello Xavier. It's been a while?" Landon said.
"Yes it has Mr. Takashi." Xavier bowed. Even the douchey Xavier had respect for him.
"Well I guess you aren't here for idle chit-chat?" He gave a slight smile which was rare.
"No sir. I think you know what I came here for?"
"Just to think you five used to be kids playing with Riptide, Ossein, and Scoria in this very gym." He looked at us then back at me and then back at Xavier.
"Well I'm ready when you are Mr. Takashi."
"Alright go Tusk!" Landon threw his pokeball and a small, blue elephant-like Pokémon. It had large, floppy ears. It had a short trunk. It had two red pads on each of its big ears and another on the bridge of its trunk. Each of its four short legs has a single nail on the foot. I took out my PokeDex and scanned it. It must've have been a new pokemon in Landon's party.
"Phanpy the Long Nose Pokemon. It is 1'7.7" and 73.86 lbs. It is a Ground Type. It is strong despite its compact size. It can easily pick up and carry an adult human on its back." I put my PokeDex back.
"Go Croagunk! When did you get that Pokemon Mr. Takashi!? " Xavier shouted. The pokemon were standing across from each other.
"Tusk is a Phanpy. I found him as an egg on Route 8 and he hatched about three months ago."
"Oh okay."
"Well Xavier isn't your Croagunk going to make his move?" Landon asked in his booming, deep voice.
"How did you know it was a male?" Xavier asked.
"Well the female's bandages are higher than a males and considering his are at the normal place they're supposed to be, so therefore you can tell he's a male." Landon explained.
"Alright whatever! Croagunk use Sucker Punch!" Xavier shouted.
"Croa!" The Croagunk rushed at Tusk with his right fist reeled back.
"Tusk!" Landon yelled.
"Phanpy!" He nodded. Tusk curled up into a ball and rolled at the Croagunk making him fly into a rock. The Croagunk slouched on the rock trying to get up.
"Come on get up you pathetic pokemon!" Xavier said.
"Tusk finish him off with Ice Shard!" Tusk opened his mouth and formed a shard of ice and shot it towards Croagunk.
"Croagunk! Get! Uuuuup!" Croagunk got away just in time before the ice shard shattered on the rock.
"Croagunk use Poison Sting!" Croagunk then opened his mouth and fired multiple purple darts at Tusk.
"Tusk dodge and use Heavy Slam." Landon ordered. Tusk dodged all of the all the darts and Tusk's body became outlined with yellow aura and then tackled Croagunk into the ground, making it crack underneath them.
"Croaaaaaa!" The Croagunk was unable move once Tusk jumped off of him.
"You're the worst tool ever, Croagunk." Xavier muttered while returning his pokemon to his pokeball.
"What was that?" Landon asked in an angry tone.
"Nothing sir. Go Geodude!"
"Geeeeeeo!" Geodude popped out flexing his muscles.
"Tusk use Earthquake!" Tusk then rose up on his hind legs and slammed his front legs on the ground making the gym shake.
"Geeeeeeo!" He cried in pain. The shaking stopped.
"Geodude get up and use Rock Blast and keep using it till you hit Phanpy!" Xavier shouted.
"Geodude." he nodded. Then three light-blue rings around Geodude's body then the light-blue rings turned white forming white rocks, and then stating shooting the white rocks after another at Tusk. Tusk hid behind rock for a few minutes and then it got blasted away. Hitting Tusk making him cry in pain. Then Geodude ceased his attack.
"Tusk come on buddy. Get up." Landon said in a caring tone. He maybe a stoic man, but he loves his pokemon very dearly. I guess that's where Rey got it from. The Phanpy slowly rose to his feet.
"Phan!" As Tusk used Earthquake again. Geodude cried out in pain and fell to the ground unconscious.
"Useless too." He returned Geodude to his pokeball.
"Xavier I honestly thought you were going to give me a challenge." Landon said.
"Grrrrrr! Go Poliwhirl!" Xavier threw the pokeball and a blue, bipedal Pokémon with a spherical body. It has bulbous eyes that protrude from the top of its head. A black and white swirl covers its belly. It appears to have white gloves on its hands and rounded, digit-less feet came out. I pulled out my Pokedex again and scanned it.
"Poliwhirl the Tadpole Pokemon. It evolves from Poliwag. It is 3'3.4" and 44.09 lbs. It is a Water Type. Its two legs are well developed. Even though it can live on the ground, it prefers living in the water." I put my PokeDex away. I couldn't believe his little Poliwag evolved into that.
"My Poliwhirl, she will be the one to defeat your Phanpy.' Xavier shouted pointing at Tusk.
"Alright kid bring it on!" Landon gave the beckoning gesture.
"UUUUUrgh! Poliwhirl use Bubble Beam!"
"Poli." She nodded and let loose a stream of bubbles towards Tusk hitting him.
'Tusk get up and use Rollout." Tusk got up fast and then curled up into a ball and rushed at Poliwhirl.
"Poliwhirl catch him!" Poliwhirl caught Tusk while he was still spinning in her palms. She then spun around and threw Tusk into a rock.
"Phaaaaaaaaaan!"
"Tusk!" Landon said with worried eyes.
"Poliwhirl use Bubble Beam again!" Xavier shouted. Poliwhirl then shot a stream of bubbles again knocking out Tusk.
"Well that was pretty good Xavier." He returned Tusk and chose another pokeball.
"Thank you Mr. Takashi." Xavier said with a smug smile.
"But now you're going to have to face Scoria!" Landon said throwing his pokeball and a Camerupt popped out. I remember when the five us used to ride her back as kids.
"Scoria!" Xavier said with glee.
"She's missed all five of you." Landon said. Camerupt looked at the bleachers and saw us four, she gave us a smile. Then she returned back to a stern gaze toward Poliwhirl.
"Poliwhirl use Bubble Beam!"
"Scoria dodge!" Scoria dodged the stream of bubbles.
"Use Fissure!" Landon ordered. Scoria jumped up into air and slammed on the ground creating a hole where Poliwhirl was standing. Poliwhirl dropped into the hole.
"Well looks like you lose Xav-" Landon stopped as we saw Poliwhirl's hand come up from the hole clinging to the edge and she pulled herself out of the hole.
"Looks like I don't. Now use Bubble Beam!"
"Poliwhirrrrrllll!" She let out a stream of bubbles.
"Scoria use Solar Beam!"
"Cam!" She nodded and she gathered light and then fired a light green beam from her volcano at the bubbles. The two beams struggled back and forth to see who was going to hit their target. The Pokemon put more in their beams. Poliwhirl was winning almost hitting Scoria. It wouldn't be good because the Solar Beam with the Bubble Beam, Scoria would be knocked out in no time. Then all of sudden Scoria let out a loud cry, overpowering her Solar Beam sending the beam rushing back towards Poliwhirl. Poliwhirl's eyes went wide as hit she got by both of the beams. There was a flash of light and then we saw Poliwhirl unconscious.
"Useless." Xavier said to Poliwhirl's pokeball. He threw out his next pokeball and Braixen popped out.
"Xavier why do you keep calling your pokemon, useless?" Landon asked with a slightly angered tone.
"Because pokemon are mere tools for victory and what good are tools if they barely work."
Landon clenched his fist "Pokemon aren't tools. They're our friends that you achieve victory together with. It's not just about you."
"Pokemon are just supposed to obey their masters that's it! They don't all that compassion and shit!" Xavier shouted.
"Watch your tone Xavier!"
"Y-Yes sir forgive me?"
"What happened to you, boy?" Landon asked shaking his head.
"Let's get back to the battle at hand! Braixen use Psybeam!" Xavier
"Brai!" Braixen said as he pulled out his twig from his tail. He then spun his arm around a fired a multicolored beam from the tip of twig.
"Scoria dodge and use Earthquake!" Landon shouted. Scoria dodged the Psybeam, then jumped up in the air and landed hard on the ground and caused the gym to shake.
"Braaaaaaix!" The pokemon screamed in pain as he fell unconscious.
"No! No! No! No! No!" Xavier jumped off his platform and ran up to Braixen. He started to kick it.
"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" Xavier shouted.
"What the hell!?" Rey starting running down the bleachers Momoko, Sasha, and I ran after him. Rey was getting ready to punch Xavier in the back of the head, but Rey's dad ran up to Xavier and grabbed him by the neck and choke slammed him to the ground. Momoko and Sasha ran up to Braixen making sure he was okay.
"What the hell is wrong with you boy!?" Landon was furious.
"None of your fucking business old man." Xavier said while trying to pry Landon's hand off of his neck.
"You disrespectful-" Landon raised his right fist. Rey and I held Landon's arm back, so he didn't hurt Xavier.
"Dad let go!" Rey yelled.
Landon gave a grunt and let go of Xavier. We let go of Landon's arm. Xavier was gasping for air. He stood up still holding his chest.
"Answer my question boy! What changed you to being from and nice caring boy to such a harsh young man?" Landon said concerned.
Xavier started tearing up. "W-Why the hell do you care!?" He started crying. Landon put his hand on Xavier's shoulder and Xavier looked up at him.
"Because you, Armin, Momoko, and Sasha are like my other children. That's why I care. Now can you answer my question."
Xavier shrugged Landon's off his shoulder. Xavier turned around, looked up at the ceiling for a few seconds, and turned back around.
"You know how my parents died five years ago?" Xavier said sniffling.
"Yes, but what does that have to do with your behavior?" Landon said with a perplexed look. We already knew his parents died years ago. I remember when we got the news Xavier was called out of class at school and then the next day Xavier wasn't there and the teacher told us that his parents died in a car accident.
"Well I moved in with my aunt and uncle after that and..." He trailed off.
"Well what boy?" Landon said.
"My uncle and aunt started to physically and verbally abuse me whenever they got angry, they blamed for everything even my parents' deaths, and I just felt so powerless. I hit and call my pokemon names to make myself feel like I have power and control. I'm sooorry!" Xavier hugged the man and cried. Landon hugged Xavier back and rubbing his back. Sasha started crying. We all felt sad for Xavier and that honestly explained why he changed in the past five years. Even though I felt bad for him. He still was who he was and I wouldn't forgive him too easily. Xavier stopped crying and let go of Landon and went to Braixen. He cradled his body.
"I'm sorry Braixen . I'm so so so sorry. I'm sorry Croagunk, Geodude, and Poliwhirl. I promise to take care of you guys. " He held Braixen closer to him and then he returned the pokemon to his pokeball.
"I'm sorry too guys." Xavier said turning towards.
"It's alright Xavier." I said coldly.
"No. It's not. I treated you guys like shit for five years."
"I forgive you." Sasha said giving him a hug.
"Me too." Momoko gave him a hug too.
"G-G-Get off me." Xavier said. Landon was laughing.
"Do you forgive him Armin?" Sasha asked.
"I won't forgive him. He's still a douche and needs to prove he's truly changed." I scowled. We looked at Rey.
"Come on Rey we need you in this group hug." Momoko said in a sing-songy voice.
Rey looked away crossing his arms "Nah I'm good. I'm with Armin on this. I mean sure he had a reason to act like an ass, but that still doesn't excuse him."
"Oh okay." Sasha said. She and Momoko let go of Xavier.
"Well Landon, I'm going to challenge you next." I said.
"Alright Armin let me go heal my pokemon." He then walked into the room right beside the bleachers. The other four went back to the bleachers and they were having conversations. I stood on the platform Xavier was on. Landon came out of the room and stepped onto his platform.
"I'm to see that you've grown up so much Armin."
"Thanks." I said with a smug smile. We both reached for our pokeballs and threw them. Both of our pokemon came out of their pokeballs.
"Eeeveeeee!" Kuro shouted.
"Phaaaaaanpy!" Tusk shouted with glee. The pokemon were giving each other very intense glares. I was nervous for the first time in a long time. I mean I was facing the man who was basically like a father to me. I knew was a very strong trainer, but I had to make the first move.
"Kuro use Swift!"
"Eev!" he nodded and shot out multiple golden stars at Tusk. Tusk dodged all of them and looked back at Landon.
"Tusk you know what to do." Landon nodded.
"Phan!" Tusk shouted with excitement. He opened and formed a shard ice and shot it at Kuro with amazing speed.
"Kuro dodge!" I shouted. Kuro jumped out of the way and landed behind a rock. Tusk kept shooting ice shards at the rock Kuro was hiding behind and moving closer with every shot. Kuro was starting to panic.
"Don't worry Kuro you got this! Get from behind that rock and keep using Swift!" I shouted. Kuro peeked from behind the rock and almost got hit by an ice shard. Kuro than jumped from behind the rock and started shooting gold stars at Tusk. Phanpy turned a bit and kept shooting ice shards at Kuro. The stars and shards collided causing mini explosions and breaking some rocks in the process.
"Kuro put in more power!" I shouted.
"Tusk do the same thing!" Landon commanded. Kuro's stars got twice as big and Tusk's ice shards got bigger making the explosions whenever they collided even bigger.
"More power Tusk!"
"Kuro rev it up!"
"Eeveeeeee!"
"Phaaaaaaanpppyy!"
Kuro said blasted a star that was quarter of the battlefield towards Tusk and Tusk launched a ice shard of the same size at Kuro. The star and shard collided and exploded causing a cold, sparkly explosion. I was holding my breath because I hoped Kuro won. The smoke cleared. To mine and Landon's surprise both of our pokemon were unconscious.
"Wow that was a pretty good battle Armin." He said returning Tusk.
"Thanks Landon, but I am surprised." I said while returning Kuro.
"Well why is that?" Landon asked.
"This is the first time Kuro has ever truly listening to me." I grabbed my next pokeball.
"Maybe he's actually trusting you know."
"Yeah. Go Flytrap!"
"Go Ossein!" Ossein was a Marowak and he used play tag and hide-n-seek with us five as kids.
"Beeeeeeell!"
"Maaaroooowak!" Ossein looked at me and smiled started running towards with his arms stretched out wide.
"Ossein he isn't here to play. He's here to battle us." Landon said.
"Maro Maro Wak Maro!?" Ossein turned around and started waving the bone he had in his hand at Landon.
"Yes he is a trainer."
"Wak Maro Wak!"
"I know he's grown up! Now can we battle Ossein!?" Landon yelled.
"Mar Ro!" Ossein turned around and sized up Flytrap.
"Flytrap use Vine Whip!"
"Sprout." Flytrap had vines come out of his back and he moved closer, so he could whip Ossein. He tried to whip Ossein, but Ossein blocked the vines with his bone.
"Ossein use Flamethrower!" Landon shouted.
"Maro!" Ossein opened his mouth and a stream of fire came out of it, burning the vines.
"Beeeeeeell!" Flytrap screamed in pain.
"Now use Bone Club!" Ossein nodded and he rushed up to Flytrap and hit him in the head with his bone hard. Ossein then jumped back to his original spot. Flytrap was dazed, but I had to win this.
"Flytrap use Poison Powder!"
"Bell Bell!" He then let out a shower of purple powder towards Ossein.
"Ossein dodge and use Bone Rush!" Ossein dodged the shower of purple powder and his bone started to glow with turquoise energy, he then rushed at Flytrap.
"Flytrap use Vine Whip!" Flytrap summoned vines, but Ossein smacked them away with his bone and smashed the bone into the right side of Flytrap making fly into a rock.
"Beeeeeeeeeeell!"
"Finish him off with Flamethrower, Ossein!" Landon ordered. Ossein was charging up the fire in his mouth.
"Flytrap dodge."
"Bell Bell Bell."
"I know hurt, but I know you can do it!" Ossein released the stream of fire.
"Beeeeeeeeeell!" Flytrap got up and sidestepped the flamethrower. Then Flytrap started to be surrounded by a blue light.
"Did your Bellsprout just...?" Landon trailed off as the blue light disappeared. Flytrap now had a yellow, bell-shaped body with a single green leaf on either side. He has a wide, gaping mouth with pink lips. Above Flytrap's circular eyes is a pattern of three small green spots and small hook-shaped stem. I got a notification on my PokeDex.
"Landon may I check my PokeDex real quick?" I asked.
"Yes you may." He nodded. I took out my PokeDex.
"Your Bellsprout has evolved to a Weepinbell." I clicked on the Weepinbell's PokeDex entry.
"Weepinbell the Flycatcher Pokemon. It evolves from Bellsprout. It is 3'3.4" and 14.11 lbs. It is a Grass/Poison Type. It spits out Poison Powder to immobilize the enemy and finishes it with a spray of Acid. He knows Vine Whip, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, and Acid." I put my PokeDex away and I looked up with a smug smile.
"Just because your pokemon evolved doesn't mean you'll win. Ossein use Bone Rush!" Landon yelled.
"Flytrap use Sleep Powder."
"Weep!" Flytrap nodded as he released light-green powder as Ossein was about to a swing. Ossein started to get drowsy.
"Ossein try to fight it!" Landon yelled at his pokemon. Ossein shook its and trying to keep himself from falling asleep. He sleepily took a swing at Flytrap. Flytrap just stepped back. Then the light-green energy on Ossein's bone faded. Ossein fell to the ground asleep.
"Flytrap finish him off with Vine Whip." I whispered to him. He nodded and had vines grow out of his back they picked Ossein and slammed him on the ground about five times, Ossein woke up before the third slam, but was instantly knocked out by the fourth slam. Flytrap had his vines retreat back into his back. Ossein just layed knocked out.
"Good job Armin. I must say I'm very impressed." Landon said returning Ossein.
"Thanks."
"But the battle is not over yet." He threw his pokeball and Scoria came out.
"Caaaamerupt!" she yelled.
"Flytrap use Sleep Powder."
"Scoria use Earthquake!" Landon said. Shit I was screwed there was no way I could dodge that attack unless I told Flytrap to get out of gym, but I couldn't do that. Camerupt got on her hind legs and slammed her front legs on the ground hard. The whole ground shook knocking Flytrap on the ground.
"Now Scoria use Eruption!"
"Cam!" then a geyser of fire spewed from of the volcanoes on Scoria's back, making flaming rocks fly in all directions. Two of them hit Flytrap rendering him unconscious.
"Dammit that Earthquake is real annoying!" I shouted while returning Flytrap.
"Yeah maybe for you Armin." Landon said with a cold stare.
"Alright here we go Azure!" I threw my pokeball.
"Frooooogadiiiier!" Azure yelled as he stretched.
"You chose Froakie as your starter pokemon and now he has evolved into a Frogadier. You chose a Water Type starter like I did when I was younger." Landon said.
"Yeah I guess I did, but I always liked Water Types." I said with a smile.
"Well prepare yourself." He said with a smile.
"Alright." I said.
"Scoria use Solar Beam!" Scoria gathered light above her volcanoes and fired the light-green beam at Azure. Azure jumped behind rock and waited till the faded away. He then jumped above the rock and hit the ground running with his arms behind him.
"Scoria use Fissure!" Scoria made hole in the ground in front of Azure. He jumped over and presumed running at Scoria.
"Azure use Water Pulse!"
"Frog." he nodded and formed a water ball in his right hand and slammed in Scoria's face sending her flying and crashing through a whole bunch of rocks. She slid all the way to Landon's feet. Landon looked up in surprise at me. Azure jumped back to his original spot.
"I wasn't expecting your Frogadier to be so powerful." Landon said with a slight smile.
"To tell the you the truth I wasn't expecting that either." I said with my hand on the back of my neck.
"Scoria come on please get up and use Solar Beam!"
"Cam!" she gathered light and blasted the light-green beam at Azure. Azure side-stepped the beam.
"Azure use Quick Attack!" I commanded. Azure the started to glow white and rushed at Scoria, punching her in the face. She crashed through rock and she was unconscious. Landon returned Scoria to her pokeball.
"Well you are now going to face my most powerful pokemon! He's been with me since I was a child and when he was a Mudkip. My partner Riptide!" Landon threw his pokeball and Swampert came out of it. Riptide was Landon's most powerful pokemon he had. I remember when I was little Rey and I saw Riptide do battle. He demolished the wild pokemon that was trying to attack Rey and I. I can't believe I was facing it now.
"Azure use Quick Attack." I shouted. Azure to glow white and then he rushed at Riptide.
"Riptide you know what to do."
"Swamp!" Riptide jumped up into the air and launched a large brown ball at Azure from his mouth. He was using Mud Bomb. It hit Azure in the back making him slam into the ground. While still in the air Riptide's body became surrounded by spiraling orange streaks. Then, a purple energy sphere surrounded Riptide's body and it slammed on Azure's back with great force. Then Riptide got off of Azure and bent down from the exhaustion of using the move.
"Frooooooog!"
"Azuuuure!"
"Don't worry he's alright." Landon.
"What move was that!?" I asked.
"It was Giga Impact."
"That is a powerful move." I said in awe. I saw Azure slowly get back up.
"Yes, but the only drawback is that pokemon who uses it must rest for a bit."
"Azure use Quick Attack again!" Azure glowed white and rushed at Riptide again. Riptide looked up and smacked Azure into a rock and then went back to his resting position. I can't use close range attacks, so I'll have to use mid to long range attacks.
"Azure use you new move, Round!" I ordered.
"Dier!" Azure yelled as he got up. He opened his mouth and released a high-pitched note from his mouth causing red circles to come out of his mouth. Landon and I had to cover our ears because it was so loud. The red circles hit Riptide making him scream in pain. Riptide looked angered and got up. I guess nap time was over.
"Riptide use Mud Bomb."
"Pert." Riptide answered and then shot a large brown ball from his mouth.
"Azure counter it with Water Pulse." Azure nodded and formed a water ball in his hand he launched at the mud bomb causing both of the attacks to explode in a color of brown and blue.
"Azure use Bubble!" I shouted. Azure then opened his mouth and shot out six bubbles at Riptide.
"Riptide use Water Gun!"
"Swam." He opened his mouth and blasted out a forceful shot of water, destroying all of the bubbles. Azure jumped out of the way.
"Azure use Round and keep using it!" He let out the high-pitched note again causing red circles to come out and hit Riptide making him scream in pain again. Landon and I covered our ears again.
"NOW USE WATER PULSE!" I yelled over all the noise. Azure formed a water ball in his hand while still using Round. He then rushed and smashing it in Riptide's face making the pokemon fly back into a rock. Azure stopped his screaming attack. Swampert slowly rose up.
"Riptide use Hydro Cannon!" Landon ordered. Riptide opened his mouth and a blue flash of light appeared in front of it. Then, a glowing light blue ball of water appears in front of Riptide's mouth where the flash was and Riptide fired it at Azure. Letting out another orb of water after another at Azure pinning him to a rock. This lasted for minutes and then Riptide stopped fatigued again. It was must've been like Giga Impact. Azure wasn't where he was before. He simply wasn't there anymore than all of a sudden he jumps behind from a rock, to the left side of Riptide, he was in the air and had a huge Water Pulse ball and he slammed it into Riptide's back causing him to scream in pain and causing a crater underneath the two. Azure came out of the crater and walked over to me. Landon walked over to the crater and looked in it and returned Riptide to his pokeball.
"Congratulations Armin." Landon said with a smile.
"Uh thanks sir."
"Here's the Fissure Badge." he handed me a badge with a brown diamond with a jagged hole in the middle with a gold border around the badge. I put the Fissure Badge right next to the Floe Badge in my jacket.
"Azure how did you that?" I looked at him.
"Froga Frod Dier Frog."
"Ah I see you traveled through the orbs of water even though it caused a lot of strain on your body and then jumped to the leftside and hid behind a rock. Very clever Azure." Landon patted Azure on the head. I returned Azure to his pokeball and thanked him.
"I'm proud of you Armin." Landon said with his hand on my shoulder.
"Thanks Landon." I said with a smile.
"I know your father would be proud as well."
"Thank you again." I said looking at the golden pokeball pendant that my dad gave me.
"Can you answer a question for me Armin?"
"Uh yeah what is it?"
"What happened to you and Rey?
"Huh!?" I said confused.
"The bruises and cuts on your faces."
"Oh that. Well Rey and I got into a fight with these guys because they bothering Sasha and Momoko. We whooped their asses though."
Landon let out a guttural laugh. "I'm glad me and your father taught you guys how to fight. You know me and father used to get in brawls with people all the time?" He said with a smile.
"Hahaha yeah I know and thanks for teaching us."
"No problem. Now Rey come face your father!" He pointed at Rey.
"Alright!" Rey ran off the bleachers and got on the platform that I used to be on. I walked back to the bleachers sitting next to Momoko. Landon went to go heal his pokemon. In few minutes he came back out and walked to his platform.
"I've been waiting for this a long time my son."
"I know Dad. Now let's do this!" Rey shouted. They both threw their pokeballs.
"Go Eraz!"
"Go! Tusk!"
"Phaaaaaan!"
"Goooooooo!"
"Wow son I can't believe you have a Goomy!"
"Come on Dad you know Goomy is one of my favorite pokemon."
"I know son it's just I never thought you would find one."
"Blah blah blah Dad. Can we get to battling?" Rey said.
"It's your funeral son. Tusk use Ice Shard!"
"Phan Phan!" Tusk opened then opened his mouth and shot an ice shard at Eraz. Eraz dodged the attack.
"Eraz use Bubble!"
"Goom!" she shouted and opened her mouth and released six bubbles.
"Tusk dodge all of those." Landon shouted. Tusk moved to the right and left dodging all the bubbles.
"Now use Rollout!" Tusk tucked himself into a ball and rolled towards Eraz at amazing speed. Eraz was hit and she got sent flying into a rock. Tusk untucked himself into his usual stance.
"Phan!" Tusk said with a slight smile.
"Gooooooommmmyyy!" Eraz shouted as she rushed at Tusk. Tusk sidestepped her and used Heavy Slam on her.
"Gooooooooo!" Eraz screamed in pain.
"Eraz!" Rey shouted.
"Tusk finish Eraz off with Ice Shard!" Landon shouted.
"Phan!" he opened his mouth and launched a shard of ice at Eraz.
"Eraz use Dragon Breath!" Rey shouted. Eraz opened her mouth letting a out thick, green beam at Tusk melting his ice shard and hitting Tusk making slid back. He screamed in pain.
"Eraz use Absorb." Eraz then launched red beams out of her eyes hitting Tusk. Eraz looked like she felt better. Tusk slowly rose to his feet.
"Tusk use Earthquake."
"Phaaan!" he shouted as he got on his hind legs and slammed down his front legs, making the ground shake. Eraz shouted in pain the ground stopped shaking.
"Finish her with Heavy Slam!" Landon yelled.
"Phan Phan!" he started to glow yellow and he ran at Eraz.
"Eraz use Body Slam!" Rey shouted. Eraz and Tusk ran each other and collided. The struggling to see who slam the other.
"Come on Tusk beat her!"
"Eraz slam him into the ground!"
"Phaaaaaaan!" Tusk shouted as he pushed and slammed Eraz into the ground. Eraz laid there not moving. Tusk turned around and started to walk back to Landon.
"Good job Tusk!" Landon said with a slight smile. Then Eraz got up and slammed into Tusk making fall into the ground knocking him out and Eraz fainted after that.
"Wow good job Rey." Landon said while returning Tusk.
"Thanks and I'm proud of you Eraz." Rey said returning her to her pokeball.
"Well time for the next battle! Go Scoria!" Landon threw his pokeball.
"Go Asura!"
"How unfortunate Rey."
"What's the matter Dad?"
"Both of us have Fire Types."
"It'll make this battle even better." Rey said with a smile.
"But Scoria is also a Ground Type too." Landon said.
"Well shit."
"Scoria use Earthquake!"
"Caaaam" she shouted as she shook the gym.
"Asura jump and use Tackle!" Asura jumped into the air and tackled Scoria causing her to stop the earthquake. Scoria got back up. Asura returned to his original spot.
"Okay I see what you did there." Landon said.
"Asura use Flame Charge."
"Teeeeeeep!" Asura shouted as burst into flames and ran at Scoria.
"Scoria use Eruption!" Landon commanded. then a geyser of fire spewed from of the volcanoes on Scoria's back, making flaming rocks fly in all directions. The flaming rock hit Asura in the face making put his head down in pain.
"Alright Scoria use Solar Beam!" she nodded and gathered light and fired the light-green beam at Asura making him fly back. Asura wasn't moving.
"Tsk tsk son I thought you were going to better than that." Landon said. Scoria started laughing.
"Asura did his best and that's all I can ask for." Rey said as he was reaching for Asura's pokeball.
Asura slowly rose up from the ground "Tepig Tepig Tep Tep Teeepiiiiiig!" he shouted as he was surrounded in blue light. We all gasped in awe. After the blue light faded we saw a bipedal, pig-like Pokémon. IHis chubby body is orange with brown bands around its shoulders, sides, belly, hands, and from the back of his head down his snout. Yellow bands encircle his wrists, and swirled yellow designs bulge from his chest. He had a red pig-like nose, pointed ears, and two pointed teeth that protrude from his lower jaw. His hands have two claws each, while his feet have only a single nail. His tail is curled with a tuft of fur at the tip standing in the place of Asura. Rey took out his PokeDex.
"Dad may I?"
"Sure."
Rey clicked on the PokeDex screen "Your Tepig has evolved into a Pignite!"
Rey clicked on the screen again. "Pignite the Fire Pig Pokemon. It evolves from Tepig. It is 3'3.4" and is 122.36 lbs. The more it eats, the more fuel it has to make the fire in its stomach stronger. This fills it with even more power. He knows the moves Arm Thrust, Odor Sleuth, Ember, Flame Charge." Rey put his PokeDex away.
"Alright Asura use your new move Arm Thrust!"
"Nite!" Asura then ran up to Scoria and repeatedly started to hit Scoria while alternating hands.
"Caaaaam!" she cried as she fell to the ground and fainted.
"Scoria you did good." Landon said returning Scoria. He grabbed another pokemon and threw it.
"Go Ossein!"
"Marowaaaak!" Ossein shouted as he came out of the pokeball. Ossein saw Rey and started jumping up and down with joy.
"Ossein try to control yourself.'
"Maro?" Ossein turned around.
"Because this is another battle Ossein." Landon pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Maro Maro Wak." He said with his arms crossed.
"You'll hangout with them later."
"Maro!" He turned back around with a smile on his face.
"Hahahaha!" Rey started slapping his leg.
"This is no time for fun boy."
"Hahaha okay Dad way to be a buzzkill." Rey said wiping his eye.
"Hmph. Ossein use Bone Rush!"
"Maro!" Ossein said as he rushed to Asura. He had arms high above his head a swung his bone on Asura with tremendous force.
"Piiiiiiiig!" Asura cried in pain and clenching his head.
"Ossein Bone Rush now!" Landon ordered. Ossein nodded and his bone started to glow turquoise and ran at Asura smashing Asura's right side with his bone making Asura fall to the ground.
"Bone Club again!" Landon yelled. Ossein raised his bone above his head.
"Asura use Flame Charge!" Rey shouted. Pignite still laying on the ground bursted into flames and slammed into Ossein's stomach sending him flying into a rock. Ossein was dazed and he slouched on the rock.
"Asura use Arm Thrust!" Asura nodded and ran up to Ossein and started to repeatedly hit Ossein while alternating his hands. Ossein screamed in pain every time he got it.
"Ossein don't just take it!" Landon shouted angrily at his pokemon. Ossein heard Landon's words and head butted Asura in face making him stop his attack and backing up a bit.
"Now finish him off with Focus Blast!"
"Marowak." Marowak said narrowing his eyes and taking a stance he put the bone in his mouth. He put his hands together and formed a light bluish-white orb of energy in between them and launched the orb at Asura. Hitting Asura and sending him flying through many rocks, he even flew pass Rey and made a crater into the gym wall. Rey turned around and returned Asura into his pokeball. Ossein took the bone out of his mouth.
"What the hell was that Dad!?"
"It was Focus Blast."
"I know that, but why did it have that much power?"
"It is Ossein's strongest move and we trained that move up quite a bit. I only really use as a last resort."
Rey perked up at this. "So I had you on the ropes Dad!" he said with a toothy grin.
"I would be lying if I said you didn't, but we are here to battle not to chit-chat."
"Right. Go Azula." Rey threw his pokeball.
"Eevee!" she shouted gleefully as she came out of her pokeball.
"Hey dad one more thing?"
"What is it Rey?" Landon said with a furrowed brow.
"Can you teach Asura to use Focus Blast?" Rey asked.
"Sure son, but that's if you beat me." he said with a smile.
"You're on! Azula use Sand Attack!"
"Eev!" she turned around and used her hind legs to kicked sand in Ossein's eyes.
"Maro Maro Maro!" he said rubbing his eyes furiously.
"Now use Swift!" Rey yelled. Azula nodded and shot several gold stars at Ossein sending him into a rock.
"Maaaaaaaaro!" Ossein said spinning his head as if he was dizzy.
"Eevee now finish him off with Tackle!" Rey commanded. Azula ran at Ossein and slammed into his stomach.
"Maaaaaaar!" he said as he fainted.
"You did a good job Ossein now come on back." Landon said as he returned his pokemon.
"Great job Azula!" Rey said hugging his Eevee.
"Well i don't want to have to break this up, buuuuuuut go Riptide!" Landon threw his pokeball super quick.
"Swaaaampert!" Riptide let out a mighty roar.
"What the hell dad!?" Rey set down Azula.
"This is a battle not a love fest."
"Whatever! Azula use Sand Attack!" Rey yelled. Eevee turned around and started kicking sand towards Riptide's face. Riptide smacked Azula to the side into a rock.
"Riptide use Hydro Cannon!"
"Swam!" Riptide nodded and Riptide opened his mouth and a blue flash of light appeared in front of it. Then, a glowing light blue ball of water appears in front of Riptide's mouth where the flash was and Riptide fired it at Azula. Azula fainted after the attack was done.
"Dammit!" Rey said returning Azula to her pokeball.
"It's down to our last pokemon. Father and son face off, but who will be the victor?" Landon said.
"Stop with the dramatics! Rook it's go time!" Rey said throwing his pokeball.
"Quilladin!" Rook said with his arms up high.
"Ahh so you chose Chespin as your starter? Good choice."
"It's really good in my case though! Rook use Vine Whip!"
"Quilllll!" Rook had vines coming out of his back and they were rushing towards Riptide. Riptide dodged all the vines.
"Riptide use Mud Bomb!" Landon yelled. Riptide opened his mouth and fired large, brown ball hitting Rook sending him to the ground. Rook got back fast.
"Come on Dad did you really forget how typing works!? Rook use Pin Missile!" Rook's spines jutting out like ears started to glow white, he then started to let out a barrage of white orbs trailed by green light. They all connected with Riptide causing him to slide back.
"Now use Rollout!" Rook nodded, curled up into a ball, and rolled at Riptide at a very fast speed. Riptide grabbed Rook, while still spinning and threw him high into the air.
"Quilllllllllll!" Rook uncurled and flailing about in the air.
"Now use Giga Impact!" Landon shouted. Riptide's body became surrounded by spiraling orange streaks. Then, a purple energy sphere surrounded Riptide's body and he launched up into the air smashing into Rook's back. He then grabbed Rook and threw him to the ground. Riptide landed a few yards away from Rook in a crouched position, breathing heavily. It a while for Rook to get up.
"Rook while you still can use Pin Missile!" Rook nodded and let loose another barrage of white orbs trailed by green light. All of them hit Riptide dead on making him cry in pain. Riptide slowly got back up.
"Riptide use Hydro Cannon!" Landon yelled. Riptide opened his mouth and a blue flash of light appeared in front of it. Then, a glowing light blue ball of water appears in front of Riptide's mouth where the flash was and Riptide fired it at Rook. Rook was sent flying to the ground. Rook was trying to get up.
"Rooooook!" Rey yelled.
"Face it son you're gonna lose."
"No. No I won't Dad! Rook use Vine Whip!"
"Quill." Rook said in a tired voice as he got up. Vines came out of his back and whipped Riptide in the face making him stumble back holding his face..
"Now use those vines to constrict him." The vines constricted making him unable to move.
"Now finish him off with Pin Missile!" Rey shouted. Rook let loose another barrage of white orbs trailed by green light.
"Swaaaaaaaamp!" Riptide screamed as he got hit by the barrage. After the barrage was done Riptide fainted. Rook let go of Riptide letting him fall to ground.
"YES! Awesome job Rook!" The two hugged each other.
"I must say that was an excellent battle. Rey I'm so proud of you." Landon said returning Riptide.
"Thanks Dad." Rey said as he returned Rook.
"Well here's the Fissure Badge."
"Thanks again Pops!" Rey said as he put the badge in badge case. Landon gave his son a hug for a few minutes and let go.
"You three follow me!" Landon said as he motioned for me and Xavier to follow him. He took us to the room where he healed his pokemon. On the way there Xavier and I congratulated rey on his victory. The healing was white with a healing machine at the other end of the room. He healed his pokemon on there, then it was Rey, then it was me, and last was Xavier. We walked out of the room.
"Alright all five of you come with me!" Landon shouted.
"How come Mr. Takashi?" Sasha said.
"Because I'm taking you guys out for ice cream."
"Thank you Mr. Takashi!" Momoko yelled.
"You're welcome. Now let's go!" Landon motioned us to follow him. We walked out of the gym, it was still bright out. We walked a few blocks to an ice cream place and Landon let out Ossein on the way there; he was so excited. We got to the ice cream place and ordered our ice cream, a few minutes after that we sat down at a bench outside. We were all sitting enjoying ice cream cones. Ossein was trying to get a lick of Landon's ice cream.
"No Ossein!" Landon said moving his cone away from Ossein.
"Maaaaaro!" Ossein turned his back to Landon with his arms crossed.
"Ugh! Fine you can have one lick." Landon held his cone out to Ossein. Ossein turned around took the whole thing and ate it. We all laughed except for Landon.
"Ossein return!" Landon returned him to his pokeball.
"Thanks again for the ice cream." I said.
"No problem and I want to talk to you three trainers." Landon said with a furrowed brow.
"How come Mr. Takashi?" Xavier asked.
"It's about the other four gym leaders."
"Why? What's up with them?" Rey said taking a lick of his ice cream.
"They are more powerful than us other four gym leaders."
"Isn't every gym leader supposed to be more stronger than the last?" Xavier asked.
"Well yes, but these guys are like the Pre-Elite Four."
"T-There that powerful?" Sasha asked.
"I'm afraid so." He looked off into the distance.
"Wow that's scary." Momoko said.
"We need to train guys." I told the other two trainers.
"Yeah I agree." Xavier said.
"Me too. Hey Dad how long do you think it will to take to get close to their level?" Rey said.
"At least six months."
"Damn." Rey said.
"I can't believe it'll take that long." I said.
"Well Mr. Takashi can I stay here train with you for those six months."
"Sure Xavier." Landon said with a smile.
"Hey can I stay too Dad? Because you said if I beat you, you could teach Asura Focus Blast."
"Yes you can. What about you Armin?"
"No thanks. I'll go to Beyo Town and train there by myself."
"Okay."
"That stupid bitch, Ella, is there isn't she!?" Momoko yelled.
"Yeah, but she gave me her number so why not use that to my advantage."
"Fine do whatever you want. Hmph!" she crossed her arms.
"Well since you guys are training for the Pokemon League. I guess I'll train Tinkerbell for contests because I know the contest will be tougher." Sasha chimed in.
"Where are you gonna train though?" Rey asked.
"In Silver City with Oldman Mon." Sasha said.
"Hahaha okay." Rey said.
"Can I come with you Sasha?" Momoko asked.
"Sure because I want someone to protect me from that pervy old man."
We all finished our ice cream and went to the park and played with our pokemon. After a few hours it got dark. Landon offered us to stay at his house. We said hell yeah and we played video games for most of the night. We went to sleep then we woke at 11:00. At 1:00 we all said our goodbyes and parted to our own paths.

I WANT TO THANK MY BROTHER IN REAL LIFE, DIMENSION DISTORTER, FOR HELPING ME WITH STORY AND HOW THE ATTACKS WORKED IN THE ANIME AND FOR GIVING ME SOME AWESOME IDEAS! I ALSO NOTICED THAT ARMIN, REY, XAVIER'S SECOND CAPTURES ARE STRONG AGAINST THEIR STARTER POKEMON! BELLSPROUT TO FROAKIE, TEPIG TO CHESPIN, AND POLIWAG TO FENNEKIN, FUNNY RIGHT!?
