When I wake up again, I'm naked and in the back of an SUV. "She suddenly appeared like some powerful knight. It was odd, but slightly intriguing," I hear a English voice say. "You better not have a thing for your brother's mate," Mom's voice replies.
"Nope, that's definitely not what I meant, Morgan. And she can't even have feelings for me. It is impossible because she is my brother's mate." I finally sit up, interrupting them.
"As much as I love to hear my mother acting normal, I need clothes, caffeine, and some ibuprofen." Stefan glances at me from the passenger seat. He tosses a t-shirt and shorts to me. "Thank you."

Hmm, I had always loved Chicago. I had only been there once, but I just loved it. Klaus was now leading us to what looked like a freaking bar straight out of the twenties. Oh, gosh, I've forgotten how much I loved history.
Mom nudges me as we walk into the bar. I smile brightly. "Act like normal stragglers for me," Klaus commands. Then he turns to me, "That means using an American accent." I glare at his back as he leaves.
What an ass. Whatever. "Well then," I say in an American accent. Mom stares at me with wide eyes.
"Hello, ladies. What can I do for you?"
I look to my right to see a beautiful, dark-skinned woman with a yellow shirt on. "Well, we were hoping to get some lunch." The woman smiles brightly as we sit down at the bar. "What would you like?
I exchange a glance with Mom. "Do you happen to make grilled cheeses?"

I had never realized how much I hated having an American accent until now. Other people's voices didn't really bother me. I don't know why mine affected me. It just totally decreased my self-confidence. And my mother seemed to take note of it.
"Are you okay?" she whispers, supernaturally quiet. I make a face like I have no idea what's she talking about and nod. She narrows her eyes. "Liar."
"No, it can't be..." Mom and I look over to see what the commotion is about. Gloria, as I had learned her name was, was staring at Klaus with a look of disbelief on her face. Please, don't tell me she's a vampire junkie.
"So a hybrid walks into a bar..." I rub my forehead and drop my fake accent. "Just because you're an almighty hybrid doesn't mean you're funny," I say to Klaus.
Gloria takes her time getting a good look at all of us, including Stefan, who had come in with Klaus. "Stefan, why don't you go and talk with the women?" Klaus demands. Stefan rolls his eyes, but complies.
After a few moments of watching Stefan go through the collage of pictures, I smile when he finds the picture of him and Klaus together. "What the hell is this?"
Stefan walks over to Klaus. Klaus pats him on the back. "This is you and me, together. How is this possible?" Stefan asks.
My head starts hurting, so I tune them out. I rub my temples. I'm a freaking werewolf; thus, I'm not supposed to have headaches. So what is going on?
"Please be discreet about this small conversation." My eyes widen as I turn to the figure that's sitting beside me. "Walk outside. Claim you need air. I'll meet you out there."
He vanishes and I immediately look at my mother. "I need some air. I'll be outside." I quickly make my way to the exit and walk outside.
"Now why are you helping my brother again?" I turn to Elijah, who can't possibly be there.
"Long story short, same reason I was working with him earlier." He narrows his eyes.
"Do you not remember who got me out last time?" I roll my eyes. Does he need to bring that up?
"I'm pretty sure miss doppelganger is dead." He sends me a look that tells me that he knows something I don't. I throw my hands in the air. "What is that about?"
"Haze, you alright?" Elijah vanishes as I turn to Mom.
"Yeah, just thinking out loud. Did you need something?" She frowns. Oh, I'm so loved.
"Klaus is taking us somewhere. Do you have everything you need?" I nod. Klaus and Stefan walk out.

We follow Klaus into a lovely looking warehouse. "Rebekah? Where are you, love?" I stand closer to Mom.
Elijah had told me of Rebekah. From what I got, she's the female version of Klaus, only without the werewolf.
Suddenly, Klaus has a dagger in his chest and a blonde holding onto it. She steps back. He pulls it out of his chest. "You knew that wouldn't hurt me." That's when I realize, where the hell is Stefan?
