"You can come out now!" Stefan comes out from behind a set of shelves. Oooh, that's where he went. That's a bit creepy actually.
"Stefan," the blonde mumbles. He looks around confused. Klaus speeds in front of him. "Now, you remember," he compels him.
Klaus steps to the side. Stefan gets a good look at the blonde. "Rebekah," he mumbles before turning to Klaus. "I remember you. We were friends."
Klaus pats his shoulder. "We are friends."
"Now, who the bloody hell are you?" I turn to 'Rebekah' as I feel Mom inch behind me. Rebekah's eyes meet mine and they widen.
"You're..." Klaus intervenes. "She's Elijah's mate. And some prophecied queen of the werewolves."
"That's all there is to this dress?" I leave my eyes closed as Mom answers her. "Yes, but you could probably find something better." I hear bare feet move across the floor and open my eyes.
Rebekah is standing there with a black dress on that only reaches her mid thigh. "Why can't I look as good as Hazeline?" she whines. I roll my eyes.
"Because you can't steal her looks, dear sister," I hear Elijah's voice answer. I pinch the bridge of my nose. "Go away," I whisper, forgetting for a moment that I'm in a room with four vampires.
"You alright, Hazel?" I look up and meet Stefan's eyes. "Yeah, just need some air." I stand up and make my way out of the shop.
"That was interesting." I sigh when I hear Katherine's voice. "What do you need, bitch?" I turn to her as she fake gasps.
"Why are you acting all weird? You're supposed to be the most sane one there." I smile falsely. "I'm just getting visits from my wonderful mate."
Her eyes widen. "So you're on that stage?" My eyebrows furrow. "What does that mean?"
She just smirks before she vanishes. I throw my hands in the air.
~Klaus' POV~
"What's her deal?" Rebekah asks. I honestly don't know, but I need her sane. She's like my advisor. I turn to Morgan.
"Do you know what's wrong with Hazel?" She shakes her head. "She barely talks to me anymore. I'd be surprised if she wanted to tell me what's wrong."
I stand. "Well, I'm going to talk to her." I walk outside and look around. I find Hazeline leaning against a brick building that looked like it was abandoned.
I make my way to her. She smiles and turns her head to the right. "That's pathetic, really. I pity you." Who is she talking to? There's no one there. Unless...
"Hazel, who are you talking to?" She looks at me with wide, green eyes.
~Hazeline's POV~
I swallow nervously when I hear Klaus' voice. "Um, no one, just thinking out loud." He narrows his eyes.
"Alright. Walk with me?" he nods his head towards the road. I nod skeptically and follow him.
"So when did you meet Elijah?" I itch my scarred wrist. "Do you remember... Rosemarie, as Elijah called her?"
He nods. "Well, she kidnapped Elena and I, and was going to give us to Elijah. He arrived and when his eyes met mine, I immediately knew his name. But then I realized i had seen him before. He ended being a guy I had checked out at a bar."
Suddenly, he stops. I stop with him. "What is it? What's wrong?" He grabbed my left wrist. I tried to pull it away, but his grip was tight.
He pulls my sleeve up. "Stop it," I growl. He turns it, so he can see the inside of my wrist. "What is this, Hazel?"
I jerk my wrist away. "Nothing of importance." I make to walk away, but I immediately stop when I see Elijah. I wince as my head starts hurting.
"Hazeline, are you alright?" I hear Klaus ask. I grab my head and groan loudly. I fall to my knees right before everything goes black.
