Sorry, for the really late update, but I thought that I lost this arc of this fanfic and have been writing another arc for this story, but I found it , so I'll updating the whole arc at once! I really apologise to keep you waiting!

Like I mentioned in the previous chapter, this chapter has various arcs about Chiaki and Kaoru's friendship. So this chapter has no link to the first chapter, other than the timeline where the first chapter is actually the stage where Kaoru and Chiaki decided to reveal their relationship to the others. This goes for the other arcs although there will be several mentions of the previous arcs to interlink them. So please take note of this, in case you guys are confused about the time line.

Disclaimer: I don't own Super Sentai.

Chiaki typed away on his laptop doing his report that he had to submit for his current project. Chiaki glanced at the clock on his laptop, which showed 1.38pm. He looked around curiously, he was looking for Genta, who he had agreed to meet for lunch at Genta's sushi cart. They had agreed to meet at 1, but Genta was running really late.

Chiaki pulled out his Shodophone, which had been returned to him after the Gokaigers that returned their powers. He checked it for a message only to find none. Just as he was about to call Genta, Chiaki heard the latter's voice. Chiaki saw Genta pulling his sushi cart along, Genta stopped near him.

"You are late." Said Chiaki.

"Sorry, I bumped into Take-chan earlier and I stopped by the Shiba House to greet Jii-san and the hime." Said Genta.

There was pretty much no one around apart from them, as it wasn't the ideal lunch hour for most people. Chiaki helped Genta set up his shop while Genta got to work preparing sushi for the two of them.

"How's Takeru? I haven't been in contact with him for the past few weeks. Exams were more important." Said Chiaki.

"He fine, although Jii-san hopes that we'll visit often. He says that it gets pretty quiet." Replied Genta.

"Speaking of Jii-san, has Takeru considered ever entering college? The hime too." Asked Chiaki.

"I never heard him say that." Replied Genta, as he placed a plate of sushi in front of Chiaki.

"Well, it'll help him pass the time. And besides college will help him socialise more." Said Chiaki.

"That makes sense, I mean I think that's what Jii wants for him too." Said Genta.

"I'll stop by tomorrow, since I don't have any classes. I'll bring along some brochures and pamphlets for them. College registration starts in less than two months. That way they'll have ample time to consider." Said Chiaki.

"That could work, how about we bring the gang back together for a day or two?" Suggested Genta.

"It would be great to see the others again, but Kotoha has school. We have to wait until the weekends to have a gathering. And not to mention nee-san is overseas right now and Ryunosuke is constantly travelling with his kabuki performance troupe." Pointed out Chiaki.

"Well, I think all of us can arrange a day to meet up and have a dinner or something at least." Said Genta.

Chiaki glanced at the calendar above the tank that held Ika Origami and Ebizou. He looked at the rest of the dates in the month of May.

"Takeru's birthday is next month right?" Asked Chiaki.

Genta responded with a simple nod.

"Then, let's throw him a birthday party." Said Chiaki.

"That's sounds nice, but where do we hold it?" Asked Genta.

Chiaki fell silent, until they heard footsteps coming. Genta turned to the direction of the footsteps and saw a familiar lady in yellow.

"Saki-chan!" Called Genta.

The girl, Saki, smiled and walked up to the cart.

"Genta-kun! Chiaki-kun! Hisashiburi!" Smiled Saki.

"What are you doing here?" Asked Chiaki.

Both Chiaki and Saki attended the same university, but took different courses. Chiaki took game designing while Saki took up a course on baking. This caused them not to meet very often.

"I want a pack of seafood sushi to go please. I need to go for my shift at the cake shop, and I'm running late. I was planning to have some lunch earlier, but I'm running late." Said Saki.

Genta made an okay sign and he got to work preparing Saki's order.

"What were you guys talking about earlier?" Asked Saki?

"We were discussing about planning a birthday party for Takeru. But we don't know where to hold it." Replied Chiaki, after swallowing his sushi.

"I know this place in Kyoto, which is open for rental. You can have birthday parties there." Offered Saki.

"Really?" Asked Chiaki?

Saki nodded, "We rented that place when we had a party for Gunpei's birthday last year. You can rent it from a few hours to a few days. And it's not really expensive."

"We should discuss this with the others first." Said Genta, packing Saki's sushi in a box.

"I'll give you the name and number of the place." Said Saki, taking out her wallet.

Saki handed Chiaki a name card, before paying Genta for the sushi.

"Arigato Genta-kun! Nice meeting you two! Bye!" Said Saki, as she left the cart.

Chiaki and Genta waved goodbye to her.

"We should get Kotota-chan to check this out first. She does live in Kyoto after all." Said Genta.

"I'll call her after we discuss this with the hime and Jii." Said Chiaki.

Genta cleaned and put away Chiaki's empty plate.

"I should be getting back to the university. I have to get the university brochures and pamphlets for Takeru." Said Chiaki.

"How about we crash at the Shiba mansion tomorrow night?" Suggested Genta.

"I'm fine with it, I missed Jii's cooking." Shrugged Chiaki.

"I'll inform Jii later, when I pass by the Shiba mansion later." Said Genta.

Chiaki nodded and bid his friend goodbye as he left the cart with his laptop in hi backpack. Chiaki returned to his university and headed over to the program room where all the university brochures and pamphlets were kept. Chiaki picked out those that he thought would interest Takeru and Kaoru. After more than a hour in the program room, Chiaki left with a bag full of brochures.

The next day...

Genta and Chiaki had met up in front of Chiaki's apartment, the two of them lived not far from one another. The pair walked towards the Shiba Mansion, where they were warmly welcomed by the Kuroko upon their arrival.

The pair were greeted by Jii after being informed by the Kuroko of their arrival.

"Hisashiburi Jii-san!" Smiled Chiaki.

"Welcome back, Genta. Chiaki." Said Jii, giving them a pat.

Jii led them to the hall where Kaoru, Takeru and Tanba were having tea.

"Tono! Hime! Look at who is back!" Said Jii, coming up to them excitedly.

"Who?" Asked Tanba.

No one replied Tanba, as Chiaki and Genta entered the hall.

"Genta! Chiaki!" Said Takeru, surprised to see his two vassals.

Hisashiburi Takeru! Hime-san!" Said Chiaki.

Takeru wasn't that surprised to see Genta since he stopped by once every week during his run throughout the city. But it had been nearly two months since Takeru had seen Chiaki.

"What bring you back here?" Asked Kaoru?

"We thought that Takeru would like some company." Grinned Chiaki.

"Will you be staying for the night?" Asked Jii?

Both Chiaki and Genta nodded.

"I'll get the Kuroko to prepare your favourites then." Said Jii, leaving to the kitchen.

"Your rooms are still the same." Said Takeru.

Chiaki and Genta nodded, and left the hall to their rooms and returned after a few minutes.

"We were thinking of getting the team back together for a meal or something." Spoke Genta.

"That sounds nice, we haven't got together as a team in a while." Agreed Kaoru.

"Yeah, but Kotoha has school, Ryunosuke is traveling with his kabuki troupe and nee-san's overseas." Said Chiaki.

"That's going to be a problem." Said Jii.

"But I suppose I could plan this out." Said Kaoru.

"But Hime! I can handle it!" Said Tanba.

"It's the least I can do for the team, after all they were my vassals too." Said Kaoru.

"Let the hime handle this, it's a good experience." Said Jii.

Tanba protested but Takeru spoke, "It's a good experience, let her try. We'll be there to help her along the way."

Chiaki and Genta nodded along with Jii who smiled. Eventually, Tanba gave up on dissuading Kaoru. Kaoru smiled at Takeru, Chiaki and Genta gratefully.

Genta handed her a piece of paper, "This are our phone numbers, all six of us, so that you can contact us."

Kaoru nodded and left the hall to go to her room. Takeru retreated to his room to get something. Chiaki motioned for Jii to follow him. Jii followed Chiaki to his shared room with Genta and Ryunosuke.

"Jii-san, I have some college brochures here for Takeru and the hime. I thought that the two of them might like to enter college next year." Said Chiaki, pulling out a bag of papers.

Jii took the bag of papers, "I'll discuss it with Tono and Hime."

Jii left the room the keep the brochures first while Chiaki returned to the hall, where the Kuroko served him tea. Chiaki sipped his tea quietly, reminiscing about the old times. After that he headed to the garden and sat on the porch and closed his eyes. Chiaki missed hearing Kotoha playing the flute, Ryunosuke and Takeru's training sessions, her Genta, Jii and Kuroko trying to dissuade Mako from cooking. Although, Mako has improved quite a lot since they were active as Shinkengers. Mako mainly worked in Japan but took a few weeks off to visit her parents in Hawaii every six months.

"It's quiet isn't it?" Asked a voice?

Chiaki was surprised by the voice and opened his eyes to see Kaoru. Chiaki motioned for Kaoru to take a seat on the porch. It surprised him to see Tanba not following her, since he pretty much followed her everywhere.

"Yeah. It used to be so lively." Said Chiaki, responding to Kaoru's earlier question.

"We should have a gathering soon, I think Takeru misses them too." Agreed Kaoru.

"Speaking of Takeru, Genta and I were discussing of having Takeru's birthday party in Kyoto. A friend of ours recommended us a place that we could rent for the day." Said Chiaki.

"Takeru's birthday is next month. We should get Jii-san and Genta here as well." Said Kaoru.

"Wouldn't Takeru overhear us?" Asked Chiaki?

Kaoru shook her head, "Jii-san sent him to the post office to send a package to Kotoha's sister."

Chiaki nodded as Kaoru told the Kuroko to bring Jii and Genta to the garden.

"What is going on hime?" Asked Jii?

"Chiaki and I were discussing about Takeru's birthday." Replied Kaoru.

"Saki-chan recommend a place in Kyoto we were hoping that Kotoha could check out the place first, before we make any decisions." Said Genta.

"Speaking of Kotoha, I have yet to inform her that I've sent a package for her sister." Said Jii.

"I'll call her." Offered Genta.

Jii nodded and Genta got out his Sushi Changer. He dialled Kotoha's number and waited for her to pick up.

"Hisashiburi Kotoha-chan!" Said Genta.

"Hisashiburi Gen-chan! What's going on?" Said Kotoha.

"Nothing much, just wanted to inform you that Jii sent a package for you sister earlier today. I should take about two days to reach your place." Said Genta.

"I got it, I'll tell my sister. Tell Jii-san thank you." Said Kotoha.

"Also, can you check out this place for us? We were planning on having Take-chan's birthday party there." Said Genta.

"Tono-sama's birthday party? How exciting!" Said Kotoha.

Genta smiled and told Kotoha the location and she promised to call them back by tomorrow. Kotoha sent her greetings to Kaoru and Chiaki before hanging up. Genta spotted the Kuroko preparing to do their shopping.

"Kuroko-chan let me do it, I need to go to the city for a while." Said Genta.

The Kuroko were reluctant to let Genta do their shopping since it was their duty after all, but gave in when Jii told them to. After that, Jii went to find Tanba, which Chiaki presumed to be to discuss about Takeru and Kaoru's college education.

"I miss hearing Kotoha playing her flute." Spoke Kaoru suddenly.

"I have a recording if you like to listen, she gave a few copies to Ryunosuke when he went to Kyoto." Said Chiaki.

Kaoru nodded and Chiaki went to grab a CD player and the CD that Kotoha had given him. Ryunosuke had helped her record her songs and made them into CDs for the rest of the team to listen to. Chiaki placed the CD into the player and turned it on, letting the soothing music travel across the house. Even the Kuroko stopped their work for a moment, when they heard the music before returning to their duties.

"That's a familiar sound." Said Jii, coming up to them with Tanba.

It was then that Takeru returned from his trip to the post office. Takeru smiled slightly when he heard the familiar and comforting music.

"Is that Kotoha's flute music?" Asked Takeru, coming up to the porch?

"Yeah, a recording of it. You can have this copy, I have another at home. I planned to give you guys this copy anyway." Said Chiaki.

"I'll head to my room first." Said Takeru, leaving the porch.

Jii and Tanba left the porch as well, which Chiaki presumed to be discussing Takeru and Kaoru's college educations again.

"Thanks for letting me take part in the production of your game." Said Kaoru.

Chiaki turned to face her, "It's nothing, you are part of our team. You were our leader for a while."

Kaoru smiled slightly, "Sometimes I wished that Mako or Kotoha would stop by sometime, it gets kind of lonely being the only female here. But I know that they are busy themselves."

"I have a friend who was a member of the Go-Ongers, Saki Royama, Go-On Yellow of the Go-Ongers. She lives near here, I'm sure she like to meet a new friend. I can introduce you to her if you like." Offered Chiaki.

"Maybe we should invite her and the other Go-Ongers to Takeru' party." Said Kaoru.

"We'll wait for Kotoha to call is back first." Chuckled Chiaki.

Chiaki turned off the CD and headed to Takeru's room, to drop off the CD player. Chiaki felt his Shodophone ringing as he walked back to the porch. Chiaki picked up the call from Genta. He chuckled as he spoke with Genta and rolled his eyes once.

"Genta needs some help carrying the groceries back." Chuckled Chiaki, shaking his head.

"I'll get the Kuroko to help him." Said Kaoru, getting up.

Kaoru told the Kuroko to go and help Genta carrying the groceries back, otherwise they wouldn't have any dinner that night.

"Would you care to join me for some tea, Chiaki-kun?" Asked Kaoru?

Chiaki nodded and followed Kaoru to the living room, where the Kuroko served them tea. Chiaki and Kaoru chatted about their lives for the past few months, Takeru joined them after a while.

Chiaki made a mental note to inform Saki about bringing Kaoru to gatherings for the female Sentai members. Mako and Kotoha weren't anywhere near the Shiba Mansion, so the closest female Sentai ranger he knew was Saki.
