This one is for Snapple3077, who suggested this headcanon. Hope you like it! :)

Jason POV

"With the hyrda you have to have fire," the son of Poseidon said to me.

"Ye-es," I replied slowly. "But Kampe is smart, and she's got her blades."

"Well, Kampe's gone, thanks to Briares," Percy said matter-of-factly. "We're definitely going to miss her." He wiped a nonexistent tear from his cheek while I sent my eyes to the heavens. We were standing in the dining pavilion, trying to decide which monster would be the worst to fight one-on-one. Campers were sitting or standing around us. It was dinner time, so most of the campers were stuffing their faces or chatting with friends, like Percy and I were doing.

I glanced over to see Piper talking with her sibling. I had come to visit her for a week or so before I went back to Camp Jupiter for a while. It was hard to leave her, especially more so now since we're engaged as of a few months ago. I can't believe the battle of the second Great Prophecy was so long ago. Percy and Annabeth were twenty-five, so that put me and Piper at twenty-four. We're getting old, huh? But the past years have been awesome, what with having made best friends during the war. We were all really close, and Percy and I were basically brothers. But the downside was that brothers tease each other, and we were not an exception. Gods, when I proposed to Piper, the teasing by Percy was endless. I just had to wait for the same thing to happen to him and Annabeth, then I'll get back at him with relentless comments.

"I'd say the minotaur is pretty bad," Percy commented, tearing me from my thoughts. "But, then again, he was beaten by an inexperienced twelve-year-old, so..." he trailed off, his meaning in his tone. I smiled, but then we heard someone call over to us.

"Hey, Percy," Annabeth said over the chatting of the scores of campers. She was across the pavilion, her nose in multiple papers that contained a few last touches to the reconstruction of Mount Olympus. There were designs, numbers, big words, and so many more things that made my head hurt just thinking about them. Annabeth was a genius, overcoming her dyslexia and ADHD to focus on some papers that contain pictures of a building. How she does it beats me.

The daughter of Athena continued to say something to her boyfriend, who was looking at her with bright green eyes. "Can you get me some kind of fruit?"

Percy stuck his hand out and reached into a bowl on the table beside us, still talking to me. "What about the Furies?"

I frowned at him as he searched the bowl for a piece of fruit. "You know, shouldn't we not be saying all these names out loud?"

Percy shrugged, smirking. "Nah. They're too scared." To be honest, I bet that was true. Percy was... well, he had a ton of titles, all that he deserved. He was one of the most powerful demigods, and beating him wouldn't be easy.

I was about to reply when I paused at Percy's face. He was staring at the bowl, a thoughtful expression adorning his face. I glanced down to see what he was looking so hard at, then I looked back up at him quizzically. Why was it that hard to choose between a pear and an apple? Just pick one.

"What's wrong?" I asked, an eyebrow going questioningly.

Percy opened his mouth, closed it, then opened it again. "It's just- an apple... throwing it to..." A small smile started to grow on his face- a smile full of happiness.

"Um," I said. "Yes, Percy, fruit is good. You don't need to be so happy about an apple, though." But Percy seemed to not hear my words. With determination, he closed his hand around the apple, picked it up, and tossed it swiftly towards Annabeth.

His girlfriend reached up and caught it, then stared open-mouthed at the fruit in her hand. She was silent, and soon others started to realize what was happening. The once noisy pavilion hushed into a quiet state. For a moment, nobody said anything. Percy was the only one talking, seemingly oblivious to the lack of commotion.

"Um, Percy?" Annabeth said nervously, brushing her hair behind her ear with a shaking hand. Her boyfriend looked at her once more, an eyebrow risen on his forehead. "Didn't I tell you that throwing an apple to a girl in Ancient Greece means a marriage proposal?"

My jaw dropped, and I exchanged startled glances with Piper. A marriage proposal? I mouthed to my soon-to-be wife. She shrugged, looking towards Percy to see what he would do. I followed her gaze, expecting to see him baffled and embarassed at his mistake. But when I looked- all the other campers doing the same- I didn't see any form of uncertainty. A grin had started to stretch his mouth, becoming so large it seemed to cover his whole mouth.

"Of course, Wise Girl. Do you want the ring too?" he answered, looking like the happiest man in the world.

Everybody's heads swiveled to Annabeth to see her reaction. For a moment, she sat, stunned. Then she let out a shriek, leaping up from her seat and scattering papers while she bolted over to where I was standing with Percy. She practically flung herself into Percy's open arms, yelling, "Yes! Yes, yes, yes!"

Her strong embrace knocked Percy back a little, but he steadied himself on the table behind him. Once he was balanced, he brought his arm around and hugged his girlfriend- well, now fiance, back. Her feet came off the ground as he spun them around, and the campers around us started clapping and cheering, and once the couple kissed, whistles and catcalls sounded from the crowd.

"Gods! The punk finally got enough balls to do it!" Clarisse yelled, throwing a tomato at Annabeth and Percy. I have no idea why, so don't ask.

"Took them long enough," Piper muttered. She had come to stand beside me, and I threw an arm around her, pulling her close.

"They were basically married anyways," I replied, and she nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling as she watched the two lovers in front of us. No matter how much she denied it, she had that little bit of Aphrodite in her that found couples doing cute things adorable. Though she never liked to admit it.

At last the two broke apart, each grinning like fools. Utterly giddy fools with waves of complete joy rolling off of them. The crowd was still chanting their names, and everybody seemed to be happy for the couple in front of them.

All that was going through my mind, however, was to let the teasing commence. I smiled wickedly at the son of Poseidon.

But he never looked back at me. His eyes were glued lovingly onto the daughter of Athena in his arms as she laughed and chatted animatedly to him.

"Ugh, I can't help it," Piper suddenly said exasperatedly. "They're so cute!" She let out a little "Eek!" after that, and I rolled my eyes.

Okay, so kind of short, sorry. And sorry about not updating in a while! Also, I'm aware that in this head canon, Percy and Jason are talking about the new wing of cabins, not monsters. But I kind of had to switch it, because I couldn't find anything to do with the cabins. So, yeah. Sorry. :)

Please leave a review, and thanks for reading! :)

P.S. If you've asked for me to do a headcanon and I haven't done it yet, don't worry, I'm working on those. :)
