*Hey guys

Sorry for the wait!*

Pearl and Rose headed back to Rose's hut, as soon as they arrived, Pearl laid Rose down. "Pearl, are you sure you don't want a payment? I can pay for your help." Pearl shook her head, this the sixth time Rose has asked to pay Pearl and each time Pearl declined. As Rose laid on the cot, Pearl ground up plants she had grabbed on the way back to the hut, she did this while the pot of water Rose had was warming up on the small fire in the small, dirt home. When Pearl finished, she go up and walked over to the pot and poured the mashed up substance into it.

"Okay, I will bring this to a boil and that should mix the sage and cardamom in perfectly." Rose smiled, "Thank you so much, Pearl. Garnet and Amethyst had been looking for a way to bring me back to my full health for a while now, but they haven't succeeded." Pearl tilted her head, "Um, I hope you don't mind me asking, but, why are you a pirate? I mean, you are so nice and pirates are so ruthless and barbaric!" Rose sighed with a smile, "Hun, we're not like others. I recruited Amethyst and Garnet so they could be free. Amethyst was a street rat, often beat by upper-class men. I found her digging for her meal in a trash bin, I took her in and cared for her until she was a perfectly healthy young girl. Garnet, on the other hand, I rescued her. She had been taken hostage by the Red Pirate, and, only God knows what horrible things they did to her...she has never told me, but, the way she acts, you tell it was horrible. But, her comfort was, she would one day come back for you, and you two will finally live your happily ever after."

This made Pearl tear up, she turned her head back to the pot and that it had finally come to a boil. She picked it up and turned to Rose, "I need you to sit up, please." Rose sat up and watched as Pearl carefully walked over to her. She poured it into the metal cup on the small table that had been next to the cot, then she handed the cup to Rose. At first, Rose was unsure about drinking this weird liquid, but, she did anyways. Although it wasn't the best thing Rose had ever drank, it wasn't terrible either. Pearl smiled when Rose sat down the cup, "There, you should be feeling a lot better in the morning." Rose stood up and hugged Pearl, "Thank you."

That's when someone busted through the door, "Rose! I can't find-" The person was Garnet, she had stopped in mid-sentence when she saw Pearl and Rose hugging. "Uh...d-did I interrupt something?" Pearl pushed away from Rose and straightened her dress, she looked at Rose and said, "Will you please excuse me? I need to go." And she brushed passed Garnet without even looking at her. Garnet stood there, slightly shocked at Pearl's harshness, "Rose, is...Pearl okay?"

"What have you done?" Rose had said it so sternly that it actually scared Garnet. Garnet asked in an uneasy voice, "Uh, w-what do you mean?"

"I'm pretty sure Pearl would never act like that unless someone did something wrong. What. Did. You do?"

Garnet knew she had to come clean, with a deep sigh she said, "Rose, I understand this is against your teachings, but, Amethyst and I came up with the plan to kidnap Pearl, and use her for money." Before Garnet could continue, Rose said, quite upset, "How could you two?! Why would you do this to the poor girl!?" Garnet snapped, "Poor?! She is far from poor! She's a bloody princess for God's sakes! I did this for you. You're my mentor, my friend, the woman who saved me! And you expect me to let you suffer when I can get the money from someone who can afford it?!"

Rose raised her hand, which made Garnet take a deep sigh, and recompose herself. Rose put her hand down and said, "Garnet, did you think about how this would effect Pearl? If it wasn't for her running into to me last night, she would have left. She wanted to leave here. I don't know how she figured out your plan, but I highly suggest you apologize; immediately."

"I will." With that, Garnet left, looking for Pearl. As she made her way through the dense jungle, she smelled something funny. "What is that?" She thought aloud as she tried to figure out the weird scent. That's when she saw the black smoke in the air, her pupils shrunk as her mind went straight for the worse. She sprinted until she finally reached the sandy clearing. She stopped a second, looking for the source of the fire, that's when she saw Pearl.

The pale gem was sitting by the fire, fanning it, making it larger. Garnet sighed annoyed, she walked a little closer to the other and said, "You're going get very far with that." Pearl looked at her with a grievous look plastered on her face, Garnet smirked, "Why look at me like that, princess? I'm just tellin' the truth." Pearl ignored her and went back to work on her fire.

Garnet rolled her eyes and strolled over to the girl, sitting down beside beside her. Garnet gazed up at the vibrant, blue sky and said, "You know, the sky's lookin' mighty fine today." Pearl said nothing in response, Garnet continued, "Not as fine as you, my dear." Garnet thought maybe a bit of flattery would do their unstable relationship some good, but she was wrong. Pearl snapped, "I know your damn plan, so stop it!" Garnet was taken back by Pearl's sudden anger, not mention Pearl cursing.

"Pearl I-"

"Shut up! I don't want to hear it! How dare you treat me like this! I should've known you were good-for-nothing-" Slap! Garnet still had her hand raised while Pearl sat dumbfounded. She had never been slapped, she was a princess after all. She looked at Garnet, pure hurt in her eyes. Although Pearl couldn't see Garnet's glare, she could feel it. Before Pearl could ask what the slap was for, Garnet spoke harshly, "No one. Calls me "good-for-nothing". If I ever hear that out of your mouth again-" She stopped mid sentence and saw the fear and pain in Pearl's face. She had tears streaming down her cheeks, and she was still holding the cheek Garnet had hit. The pirate began to feel guilt for hitting her, but, for someone to call her nothing reminded her of the Red Pirate and what he would say.

Pearl stood quickly and said, "I-I need some space." And off she went, straight for the ship. Garnet sighed, 'I better go stop her before she tries to sail away.'
