*Hey guys, TFW back!
Sorry about the long wait...
I just haven't been in the mood to write*
Pearl sat on the bed, it wasn't made, but at the moment, she didn't care. 'Oh Garnet...' Pearl sighed, 'Why? Why couldn't you just have loved me? Not use me...' She there, not wanting to move, not willing to move. She couldn't force herself to do anything because she didn't have the will too. After what seemed like forever, she heard someone walking down the steps to the quarters. She didn't move, she refused to. The door opened, revealing a large figure, the twilight lining her beautiful form. Pearl looked away, not wanting to look at the gem who had broke her heart.
"Pearl," Garnet said, she sounded concerned, Pearl turned her body away from her. Garnet sighed and continued, "Pearl, I'm sorry...we never meant to hurt you..."
'We?' Pearl looked at Garnet confused, Garnet gulped, knowing she messed up. But, she knew she'd come clean to the princess eventually. The pirate walked over to Pearl and sat down next to her, "Pearl, I'm a fusion gem. I'm made up of Ruby and Sapphire, and they love each other so much that they-we-I-" Garnet rubbed her temples, then started to glow. Pearl watched as they unfused, then two little gems looked up at her, one with tears in her eyes, the other seemed sad, but her eyes were covered. "Pearl," the red one began, "Look, Garnet loves you, and she didn't mean to hurt you..." The blue continued, "The only reason she said that was she was lying to Amethyst...the plan was all a trick to keep you with her forever. She knew the king would eventually have you married."
Pearl listened as they apologized, but she couldn't help but ask, "Ruby, Sapphire, if you two love each other so much, wouldn't I just get in the way?" They both shook their heads, Sapphire explained, "We're so close that when we fuse, we become a single entity with her own feelings and own mind. It's as if Ruby and I, well...made a child. She has our genes, but is still her own self. Do you understand?"
The princess nodded, she turned her head, "May I speak with Garnet?" Garnet appeared before her and said with a heavy heart, "Yes, princess?"
"Will you please take me back to the castle?" Garnet was taken back, then rage filled her, "I admitted I loved you! They unfused for you to tell you that! And you still want to go back to the piece of worthless shit castle!? To a prince that'll stick his wank in anything that walks?! You know what? As you fucking wish, princess!" And the taller gem stormed out of the room, leaving Pearl. Gentle tears streamed down her face, 'Garnet...I'm just trying to protect you...'
Garnet steered the ship, trying to hold back her mixed emotions-anger, sadness, confusion-emotions that shouldn't be mixed. She felt a single tear go down her cheek, she wiped it away, and sighed, 'Why? Why must you choose him over me? We have so much history, Pearl...he knows nothing about you, nor how special you are...' Garnet watched as the sun went fully down, and millions of stars filled the sky. She smiled, 'It's beautiful tonight.' After a few more hours of sailing, Garnet decided it was time to drop the anchor and rest (aka check on Pearl).
When Garnet walked back into her bedroom, she saw the princess asleep, wearing the nightgown Garnet bought her. Garnet smiled and flashed into her poet shirt. She laid don next to the princess and felt the girl roll over, she gasped lightly as the memory of this played through her head. She held on to Pearl and said softly, "Goodnight, my princess..."
