Echo of Shadows Pt. 3

I don't own Naruto or Star Wars.

Naruto and Satele were on the ramp of Satele's ship to wait out the rain that had rolled in shortly after their battle with the Son with Naruto sitting at the top of the ramp and Satele standing halfway down.

"I'm really getting tied of the weather here." commented Satele as she tried to break the tense silence between her and Naruto.

"That's part of the appeal." joked Naruto sarcastially.

"Are you sure you're alright?" asked Satele as she looked over her shoulder at him.

"I'm not sure we're doing the right thing by leaving." confessed Naruto, "The Son is consumed by the Dark Side."

"And if we stay, we may be used to the Dark Side's advantage." reminded Satele.

"You want the bad news or the really bad news?" asked Tayuya as she came out of a compartment that led to the engine.

"Let's try the bad news laced with a little optimisium." suggested Satele as she turned to the girl.

"I don't know anything about these ships but I think we have two cracked pins, a busted power converter." explained Tayuya as she pulled herself out of the compartment, "The engines should be fired twice to dump debris and the backup vents need charging."

"Sounds terribly down beat." said Satele as she contemplated the news.

"Ya think?" asked Naruto sarcastically as he handed Tayuya piece of paper, "That should give you some ideas as to how to try and fix the ship."

He went inside with Satele and entered the storage room.

"What happened back there?" asked Satele as Naruto pulled out a folded up speeder bike.

"Nothing that concerns you." said Naruto as he went outside with the bike.

He unfolded the bike and checked to make sure it wasn't damaged.

"Where are you going?" asked Satele.

"I'm going to see the Father." said Naruto as he hopped on the bike and tried to get it to start, "I'm not convinced that the Son will be contained here without our help. I'm going to make a stand."

"Naruto..." began Satele before Naruto shot her a look of anguish and pain.

"If I don't get his blessing to leave, it'll haunt me forever." said Naruto as he looked away from her.

He sped through the rain and used the Force to guide him to the Father. Naruto was almost then when he blinked and all he saw was black.

He opened his eyes and saw he was looking up at Father and the night sky.

"Where am I?" asked Naruto as he sat up.

"I have brought you back to my monistary." explained Father.

"What happened?" asked Naruto as he held his head.

"My son broke the laws of time." informed Father, "He showed you what you should never have seen."

"I don't... remember." said Naruto as he shook the sudden throbbing out of his head.

"I have erased that time." replied Father, "We shall never know."

"Naruto!" exclaimed Tayuya as she and Satele rode into the monistary on a speeder.

"Are you alright?" asked Satele as she and Tayuya got off the bike and walked up to Naruto and Father.

"I think so." said Naruto as he jumped to his feet, "But we must stop the Son."

"We have little time." said Father as he too got to his feet, "And you will get only one chance. You know what you must do."

"How quaint!" declared the Son as he landed in the monistary with Naruto's Darksaber in his hand.

Naruto ignited his blue lightsaber the instant he drew it and the Son threw him back into the wall with the Force. Naruto grunted and began leaking red chakra.

"Do you really not want my help?" came a voice inside Naruto's head.

Naruto looked up and saw the Son send Tayuya and Satele flying back.

"Fine." said Naruto as his entire form became more feral, "Just follow the plan."

The red chakra retreated into Naruto's body and his eyes became red and his pupils slitted. He held his hand out toward the Darksaber and pulled it into his hand. It ignited instantly and he ran up to both the Father and the Son and ran them through. The Darksaber then went out and the Son fell to the ground.

"So, he put you in control." said Father weakly as he fell to his knees.

"Just for the moment." said Naruto in a different voice, "I only help him because if he dies, I die as well."

Father began to get light headed and used all his strength to remain awake.

"The Darksaber cannot kill us but it can put us into a deep sleep." explained Father, "For how long, I do not know. But until we awake, we will not be able to control the Force."

Naruto knelt down and deactivated the Darksaber.

"My heart is broken but knowing the role you both will play." said the Father.

"And what is that?" asked Naruto.

"He... is... the Chosen One." said the Father, "He has brought balance to this world. He must... stay on this path and he will do it again... for the galaxy"

With that, he passed out and his body vanished. Billions of loud thuds reached Naruto's ears and the crystal at the top of the monistary fell and shattered. A bright light engulfed Naruto and the others and all the only conscious person remaining saw was black.

Naruto groaned as he woke in the Satele's ship and found that the three of them were back in space.

"Was all that real?" thought Naruto.

"It was and you're welcome." came the voice from Naruto's head.

Satele and Tayuya picked themselves up and grabbed their heads.

"Well, that was exciting." said Satele as she turned the ship around and headed back to Karideph.

(A Day Later)

Almost a day after Tayuya had gone back to Ibonihs, Satele and Naruto stood in the destroyed council chambers in one of the towers of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant with R2 waiting on Naruto other side. All three were looking at the sunset like they used to and were flooded with memories.

"Six years since we did this together." said Satele solemnly.

"Yeah." said Naruto as he choked back tears, "Painful."

Satele and R2 looked at Naruto as he walked away from the window and sat in what would've been Satele's seat.

"That day... I felt it." he said as he grabbed his head.

"Felt what?" asked Satele as she moved a chair in front of Naruto and took a seat.

"The attack." said Naruto as he failed to keep tears from rolling down his cheeks, "I warned the Masters but they brushed it off. An hour later, the Sith attacked."

Naruto's breathing began getting hitched as he began to sob and shake.

"I felt all the death." he explained as he finally released all his tears he held in for six years, "Every strike. Every wound. Every injury. I felt everyone dying. I felt countless people across the planet die."

He threw his arms around Satele and cried into her chest.

"Why?!" he asked her, "Why me?! Why did it have to be me?!"

Satele knew she couldn't answer and did what only she could do. She hugged Naruto like she used to and let him release all his tears.

Okay, not my best chapter but I thought I'd just stick an emotional moment in there with Naruto and Satele.
