Clary's POV
Luckily I had grabbed my spare key from my suitcase before we left so Jace and I didn't have to go through the embarrassment of knocking after we had been gone for over an hour. Once we walked into the warm house I shivered and Jace laughed and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Come on Clary it wasn't that cold". I snakes his chest "yeah well I'm small I get cold easy" he kissed my nose "well you better stay here".
I rolled my eyes "come on lets go find my parents".
Percectly timed I hear "We are in the living room Clary" Luke called out, we followed the sound of his voice.
When I walked in Luke was in the recliner reading a book while Jocelyn was standing behind him finishing a paining of what was titled "Marks of the city".
Jocelyn smiled "Did you two have fun?". I could feel myself blush at the look she gave me, luckily Jace was standing behind me. "Yes ma'am , we went to the park and watched the sky. It was quite nice until it got a bit chilly".
"Ah yes we figured that why you came back" Luke didn't even look up from his book. "You guys can turn the TV on if needed" Jace smiled "it's alright Id like to finish a "book right now, I might visit your store tomorrow too" Luke smiled at this.
"I actually have some setches to finish too".
When we got settled Jace was sitting long ways on the couch while I was sitting between his legs with my sketchbook on my knees.

Jace finished his book in about half an hour, I knew this because he sat up a bit more, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to his chest. He kisses the crook of my neck and looked over my shoulder "mmmm that look absolutely amazing".
It was an angel walking over a frozen lake, wings spread wide, they were light with shaded tips. The angle had no face yet but a perfectly sculpted physique.
I looked up at him and kissed his jaw, he took hold of my hand and brought it to his lips. When he did a smirk stretched across his face and he used my hand to poke my nose, I had forgot I had pencil residue on my fingers that were not transferred to my nose.
I smiled and brought my other hand up and ran my finger down his nose, leaving a dull silver streak.
He leaned down to my ear and whispered "I would have done that" I had to stifle a giggle but I knew my parents had noticed us. "Hey Luke can I turn on the tv" I stuck my tongue out at Jace, "sure Clary the offer is still open"
I turn on the tv and flip through channels till I find a rerun of Once Upon a Time I was a first season episode so not much going on.
Jace and I shifted to watch the show so that he was laying down with his back against the back of the couch and I was laying down y back pressed to his chest. I had my head just under his, he rested his chin on the top of my head. He had both his arms wrapped around me, hands clasped at my stomach.
All the sudden I saw a flash and looked to where my parents worked, Luke was smiling while my mom help an old Polaroid camera in her left hand ands was shaking a photo in her right.
I sent her a glare but she soon gave us the developed photo. It was beautiful, Jace with is arms around me, looking down at me lovingly. I was unaware of how loving Jace looked at me when I wasn't looking at him, it melted my heart.
I was smiling involuntarily now when I turned to my mom "can I keep this please?" She smiled. "Of course, I just thought it was a moment that had to be captured in time". God my mother is amazing, even if she was skeptical at first.
Jace covered my small hand in his soft warm ones, he looked at the picture and whispered in my ear. "You look absolutely gorgeous as alway". This made me smile and shutter at the same time, his breath tickling my ear.

Around 10:00 we all went to bed, with Jace now at the other end of house and no other source of warmth I felt a chill run through my spine. I had fallen into a fitful sleep and was now laying in my bed at 2:30 AM.
Hoping not to wake anyone I got out of bed to get a glass of water. Walking out in my usual sleepwear:a tank top and some kind of running shorts, tonight it was a black tank and blue shorts.
As I walked down the hallway to go through the living room then the kitchen I saw the dull glow of the TV
I walked out with my arms crossed at stomach to see Jace in a T-shirt and shorts watching a random movie. He looked up and noticed me "Oh Clary, I'm so sorry did I wake you?"
I smiled "no actually I couldn't sleep so came out to get some water". He looked a bit relived "alright good, I had the volume almost all the way down so not to wake anyone, I would feel really bad".
With a nod I quickly grabbed a bottle of water and returned to the living room to sit by Jace.
I sat next to him and curled in my legs, I was a little ball curled up against Jace and he quickly put his arm around me to bring me closer.
I don't know what we were watching but with a combination of Jace's warm side and the thought of sleeping beside him again soon had me in a dozing state.

Jace's POV
It was 3:00 am and I have gotten about 2 hours of sleep. I went to bed at 10:00 or so and woke up around 12:15 and have yet to fall back asleep. Hoping not to wake anyone and pass the time I planned to go watch TV. I got up and threw on some shorts and a cotT-shirt because I felt my girlfriends parents wouldn't approve of finding her boyfriend watching TV half
I walked out and turned on the Tv, lowering to volume to a murmur and just sat, hoping not to wake anyone and that time would pass quickly.
About half an hour later I heard small footsteps down the hall and I saw Clary, her arms wrapped around stomach. She looked so amazing, her flawed but perfect skin. Oh how I hope I didn't wake her. "Oh Clary, I'm so sorry did I wake you" I was concerned.
She smiled "no actually I couldn't sleep so I came out to get some water". Oh thank god I would've felt to bad of I did.
"Ok good, I had the volume almost all the way down as not to wake anyone, I would've felt bad". She nodded and ran off to go get a water bottle.
When she came back there was a water bottle in her hand and came over to me. She sat next to me with her legs curled up and head on my shoulder.
I didn't hesitate to wrap and arm around her and pull her in close to me.
I could tell she was dozing but the way her breath slowed and steadied, it didn't take long until he legs were kicked slightly out and she has fallen asleep next to me.
Looking at the time I saw it was still only 3:38, I reached over to the back of the couch and grabbed the blanket from the top.
Wrapping it around her and taking her hand I settled not to wake her and flipped through the channels again, a beautiful girl sleeping at my side.
