alright guys I think I might cry. This is the last official chapter before and epilogue and we all know what an epilogue means. Alright so thusly be pretty sad but I think you will like it.

Actually I need to make a PSA: every time I update I get someone who reads less than half of this story and they tell me I need to get help. Now this may come out a bit rude but it's needed. 1) if you want to tell me I need help how about you read the full story to see I get better 2) im sorry the first half of my story is horrid grammar wise but there is very little left in this story and I am writing another that'll be better grammar wise. 3) I honestly don't care. I have this chapter and an epilogue, I seriously don't want to be rude but I don't care if I forgot a period or miss spelled a word in chapter 3 when I'm on chapter 39.

This has been a PSA: please don't get mad I finaaly said something, I've had this issue for a long while.

Clary's POV

These weeks have gone by like a dream, everyday I got more comfortable with Jaces family and every day I felt more in sync with him. We went on a couple dates the past weeks but my favorite was when he brought me up to the greenhouse. It was a midnight of a thousand stars and with the moonlight shining in the many colors of pedal it was splendid. It was so great, even when the sprinklers turned on and soaked us.

Not only had I been getting closer to Jace by Izzy and Max too. I played Max in Call of Duty almost every day but he beat me all but once when Jace cheated and tickled him while I shot. As an apology we gave him the comic we bought for him and he was ecstatic, gave us both a hug and ran up to his room to read.

I was also given the interesting gift of going shopping with Izzy. This was and all day event complete with me texting Jace begging him to pick me up. Though it wasn't bad, we found some cute clothes for each of us and Izzy even bought me a swim suit.

The weeks went by so quickly it only felt like days.

~~O~~

I woke up with Jace's arms around me as I had everyday. But this time Jace was just looking at me, not kissing my forehead or twisting my hair around his fingers. I turned to Jace who was propped up on an elbow. "Morning babe".

He kissed my forehead as usual "good morning love".

He brought his hand up to my fave to push back some stray hairs.

"Can't we have just one more day Clary".

I felt my throat tighten when I remembered what today was. "I'm so sorry Jace, but it's mandatory. I'll skype you every night though. We don't have a day but we can have an hour to ourselves".

He sighed and tightened his arms around me "Im going to be a real wimp today."

"If you want to Jace we can go work out before I leave so you can feel all manly".

He looked down at me with bright golden eyes "Though I might take you up on your offer you can shut up".

Right as I rested my head on Jaces chest there was a knock on the door. Jace quickly yelled "Im getting dressed what do you want".

It was Max "Jace where is Clary, she isn't in her room and I have a gift for her".

My face was completely red and hidden in Jaces chest.

"Max I think she's in the bathroom but I'll tell her to go downstairs when she's out".

With that we heard footsteps slowly fading.

Soon Jace was just laughing and rolling back with his arms spread out across his bed and me.

I smacked an arm across his chest "not funny, what if he walked in!".

Jace rolled on his side, his elbow supporting his weight and smirked at me. "Well we might just have scarred his little mind".

Scoffing I sat up and readjusted my shirt. "Well I guess we don't get that hour do we".

~~O~~

Walking down the steps next to have we were met by an eager and seemingly relived Max.

"Oh thank goodness you're still here Clary, I thought you left already cause you weren't in your room but Jace said you were in the bathroom but when I knocked it was Iz and you would've forgot your present".

Max being the age of 9 took about half a breath between his little rant and was now halfway up the stairs breathing like a mad man.

"Don't worry Max I don't leave till 1:00 so I can have breakfast and lunch with you".

Max lit up and took my free hand pulling both Jace and I down the steps. "Awesome Clary, now hurry up. Mom made breakfast and it smells so good but she said we couldn't eat until you came down to eat with us."

Almost at the end of the steps I could smell what Maryse was cooking. It was sweet, not just the sweet smells of sugars and syrups but fruits freshly sliced and served with whipped cream.

When we walked into the dinning room Izzy was helping serve (hopefully not cool) by setting out yet another plate of pancakes.

There was ever breakfast food you could imagine fitting on one table. Bacon, sausages, pancakes of every kind, 3 plates of muffins, and one big bowl of mixed fruit sided by a bowl almost equal of whipped cream.

We sat down Just in time because Maryse came out with pitchers of water, juice, and milk, the last items in our large feast.

At this time Max whispered something in Izzys ear and she nodded. Max hurried out of the room and soon came back with a neatly wrapped present with a brightly colored bow.

"Here you go, it's a going away present from all of us" He handed me the present.

I smiled and thanked him, turning to Jace I looked at him but he just smiled and looked away.

I opened it slowly and when I saw what the wrapping paper contained I couldn't help but smile at one of my best memories.

It was the day Jace, Izzy, and I took Max to the zoo, this photo showed Max on Jaces shoulders and Izzy and I holding his hands for support. It was such a great day that they had immortalized it with a few photos, this one easily her favorite.

She kissed Maxs forehead. "Thank you, I love it so much. I'll have it on my bedside table so I can see it every day".

~~O~~

It was 12:50 and everyone was in the living room watching a movie, though neither Jace nor I were paying attention to it.

My bags were all packed and by the front door, the picture packed safely between clothes so it won't break. My head was on Jaces shoulder, one hand in his and the other wrapped around the ring against my chest.

Checking my phone yet again I sighed 12:54. I nudged Jace softly with my shoulder "I need to go wait outside, come with me?".

Jace frowned but nodded and then tightened his hand around mine.

When we got up Max asked if he could come too but luckily Maryse stepped in and told him he had already said bye.

I opened the door for Jace as he had grabbed my two bags, every time I looked to him his face was somber and silent, he had hardly said anything after lunch.

"I may or may not have packed a few of your shirts in my bag for me to wear".

Finally Jace smiled at this, he set my bags down and wrapped me in a hug. "I was hoping you would".

Out of the corner of my eye a yellow cab was driving down the long driveway. Jace let me go just in time for me to wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him.

"I love you Jace, I'll call you tonight". I grabbed my bags and looked back to him.

His fingers trailed to my face, moving a piece of hair from my face and lingering on the base of my neck. "I love you too"

He kissed me softly and I started to head for the cab. Once my luggage was in the truck and I was in the back seat I allowed myself to look to Jace. He stood stiffly and still.

He waved quickly and when the cab pulled away he turned to go back inside.

Only when he couldn't see me did I grab hold of the small chain and ring around my neck.

This was going to be a long couple months.

alright guys that was sad I think. Just an epilogue left, that's gonna be fun. So anyway please review and stuff. Also don't forget to check out my newest story DOA.
