Into the Pokemon World!

A/N- Yes, I've been absent lately. A lot is going on in my life right now. I had to cancel my shipping ff, and The Switch has come to a standstill. I am soon sorry about this. Writing is my passion, and, if I had my way, I could stay in my room all day with a bowl of snacks and my computer and just write and write and write and never stop, but life doesn't work that way.

I will never stop writing. Nothing can stop me. But it can slow me down. I have time today for one chapter. Hopefully I can make it really long... I've had the idea for this one bugging me for a week now. Big reveal in this one!

Also, I got a few PMs about people's Ocs. I will write the OCs starting with the next chapter. I'm not going to forget them. I mostly write these on the go, so I can't get to the submissions. I'm going to be home next week, though, so I'm write them in then.

Anyway... Enjoy!

We walk through Viridian forest, again. Jacob and Michael are goofing around with Ash. They hit it off almost Immediately and are acting like aipoms. Aside from that and the occasional joke from Brock, the forest is silent.

Misty walks next to me. She looks at me every few minutes, but is otherwise silent. She takes a deep breath, then looks at me again. "You look sad." She says. I look at her.

"Do I?" I ask. She nods, and I sigh. "I'm sorta missing home..." I mutter. Misty puts her hand on my arm, and I smile.

"You have every right to be sad about that. Are you missing your friends?" She asks. I blush.

"I didn't have too many friends... Just me and Paul. " I say. I blush harder as I say, "He was my boyfriend... Well, actually, he was my friend, but we got together a month before he...

Misty smiles. " You'll get back to him. You've got us to help you." She reassures me. I laugh humorlessly.

"I can't get back to him. Paul disappeared 3 years ago. He's gone." I say, more to myself than Misty.

Misty frowns. "You said his name was Paul, right?" She asks. I nod, feeling worse than I did a few minutes ago. Misty pats my arm.

"Why?" I ask. She shrugs.

"No reason. I just know a guy named Paul... Er, never-mind. I'm sure he's fine." She says, but she doesn't sound like she means it. I smile, hoping it doesn't look too fake.

The path ends, and Viridian city looms ahead. The Pokemon center sits right in front of us, looking warm and inviting. My aching feet start throbbed as I think of the warm beds they have there. Jacob and Ash rush ahead, and I shake my head at their boyishness, laughing to myself.

We walk through the double doors. Nurse Joy smiles at us, and hands us a room key. We told her to reserve our room from the last time we were here, and now I'm really glad we did. I can already feel the Altaria feather pillow underneath my head.

A yell from behind gets my attention, and I turn around. Ash is standing in a battle stance, a look of anger on his face, and across from him...

My heart skips a beat. It can't be, it's impossible, but yet there he is, standing there, a look of anger on his face as well, but mixed with boredom.

"P-paul?" I ask faintly, barely loud enough for him to hear. But he does. He turns, and the unfamiliar anger that was on his face morphs into a look of surprise and disbelief. There's no mistaking it now. It's him.

"Alex?" He says, then starts forward. Misty shrieks, "This is the Paul you were talking about!"

We collide in a hug in the middle of the floor." I thought you were dead!" I murmur into his ear. Over his shoulder, I can see that Brock looks crestfallen, and I stifle a giggle.

Paul pulls away, once again the happy Paul that I remember from my 12th birthday, the sweet Paul that I fell in love with 3 years ago. "How are you here?" He asks.

"Team Rocket. What about you? How'd you get here?" I ask, feeling breathless and giddy. Paul shakes his head.

"I made a stupid mistake." He shrugs off my question. I am about to question him further when Ash steps next to me.

"You two know each other?" He asks. I nod.

"He's from my world. He was my best friend." I say. Ash scoffs.

"Well, don't bother with him. All he is is a jerk who mistreats his Pokemon." He says. I glare at Ash, but Paul stops me before I can say anything.

"I did mistreat them, once. I blamed them for being stuck here." He says, looking sad. "I don't do that anymore." He says, and I can sense the truth in his words. Ignoring Ash, he turns back to me. "What are you doing with them?" He asks. I shrug.

"They offered to help me get back home, and I accepted. Anyway to get back home is good to me." I say. "And they're not all bad. Misty's nice." I smile over at Misty, who waves back. "Ash is sorta childish, though, I'll give you that." I laugh. Paul sneers.

"Yeah, whatever." He says. He obviously doesn't want to talk about this anymore, so I change the subject.

"It's amazing that we both found the same place." I murmur. Paul smiles.

"Yeah. And you can actually thank Team Rocket for that." I whip my head up to look at him, my eyes wide.

"Team Rocket?" I ask. "They were here? I have to find them!" I start towards the door, but Paul stops me.

"Why?" He asks.

"They got me here, and they can get me-us- home." I say. Paul shakes his head.

"You think I didn't try that already? I have tried everything to get away from this place. Nothing works." His expression darkens, and I pull my arm from his hand.

"I have to try, Paul." I say. Ash and Jacob run after me.

"For once, I agree with Paul. You can't fight Team Rocket, you've only had one battle." Ash says. My happy feeling from earlier evaporates, replaced quickly with indignation.

"I seem to remember winning against them before, Ash. I can do this. I have to do this." I say, walking out of the Pokemon center, fueled with anger.

Halfway into the forest, I stop. What if I can't find them? I could get lost, and get attacked by bug types, or ghost types! I almost turn around, before I realize something. There are two boys in the Center who would do anything for me, but one is against me going out here... But the other one seems to want to do anything for any pretty girl.

I take a deep breath, and take the knots out of of my hair with my fingers. With my head held high to mask my fear, I walk back through the double doors.

Ignoring Paul and my brother's stares, I walk straight to my target. Brock looks confused, like he's questioning why I'm walking up to him.

I lean closer to him, and whisper, "I need to borrow a Pokeball." The surprise on his face is almost comical.

"Er, uh, um...What?" He asks. I roll my eyes.

"May I please borrow a means of capturing a creature known as a Pokèmon, that I will pay you back for at a later date?" I say slowly. Brock nods.

"Er... Why?" He asks. I sigh.

"So I can fight Team Rocket's trained pokemon with a team of three Pokèmon instead of two. So I can interrogate them about how they got me here, and how to get back." I say. He squints, which makes his already slim eyes look like lines.

"OK?" He says it so it sounds like a question, fishing a Pokèball out of his pocket, and putting it in my hand. With a grateful smile, and a quick, "Thanks, Brock!" I ran back out of the Center.

I roll the Pokèball around in my palm, smiling at my luck. I run through the forest, looking for a wild Pokèmon. I run around in a patch of tall grass for a bit, but that just makes my legs itchy.

Finally, I hear a noise from behind me. I whip around, to come face to face with... A Meowth. Holding a basket. Standing on its hind legs.

I blink.

The Meowth blinks.

"Er... You wouldn't happen to be the talking Meowth from Team Rocket, would you?" I ask.

"Yeah, I am." He says. My confidence drains out of me like water put of a faucet.

"Thought so. Bye!" I trip trying to run away. Meowth looms over me. My hand reaches for Ekans' Pokèball, and I tap the button.

Ekans' pops out, and in the confusion, I jump to my feet. Now I am the one to loom over Meowth, and I smile.

"Ekans, use Leer!" I command. Meowth shies away from Ekans, but recovers quickly, retracting his claws.

"You messed wit' da wrong Meowth, twoip!" He says, jumping forward and scratching at Ekans' face. With a hiss, Ekans bites back, literally. Meowth flails under her teeth, but keeps scratching until Ekans is lying on the ground, unconscious and out of the battle.

"Now, just come wit' Meowth." He says as I return Ekans. A though occurs to me in that second between defeat and freedom. No one ever caught Meowth, did they? Which means...

I yank out the Pokèball that Brock gave me, and try to throw it at Meowth, but it opens in a flash of light instead.

"A Sudowoodo?" I yelp. The imitation Pokèmon smiles back at me, then jumps into the battle with a yell.

Meowth didn't stand a chance. The high level Sudowoodo has it tied to a tree-I don't know how, it can't learn Vine Whip, and nothing around here used it- within seconds.

"I'm going to untie you, OK? I just need you to answer some questions first." I say. Meowth nods. He nods, and I smile.

"Alrighty then... How did you bring me here?" I ask.

"A black box tingy. I dunno how it woirks." He says. "We just pushed it, and poof!" I frown. How was that possible?

"Where is this 'box' now?" I ask. He shrugs.

"I dunno. Can I go now?" he asks. I nod.

"Yeah, and I'll follow. I have some questions for the rest of your team." I say. He groans.

"Jessie's gonna kill me! I was supposed ta get some berries for her lunch!" He wails. "Can I find some berries first?"

"We leave now. Untie him, Sudowoodo." I turn to Brock's Pokèmon, and smile when Meowth walks in front of me.

"And don't even think about leading me in the wrong direction. You've seen what... My Sudowoodo do can do." I decide to not let Meowth in on the little detail of Sudowoodo's ownership. He visibly stiffens, then turns in a different direction with a huff.

Finally we enter a clearing. I spot the rest of Team Rocket over by their balloon, spread out on a picnic blanket. I crouch behind a bush and motion for Sudowoodo to do the same. Meowth keeps walking, and greets Jessie and James. Jessie asks why he looks so nervous, and then demands her berries.

I take that as a que, and jump out of the bush dramatically. And, by dramatically, I mean I tripped on a branch, yelped pitifully, and fell flat on my face. Real smooth, Alex...

I jump to my feet quickly, and Sudowoodo gets in a battle stance. Team Rocket looks shocked, but I just smile.

"Hello again. I'd love to talk, but it looks like you're TIED UP!" I yell as Sudowoodo unleashes its Vine Whip. Team Rocket tries to jump out of the way, but Sudowoodo is faster, and ties them up. Of course, I didn't see anything. I was too busy laughing at my own pun.

"Where did you get the box?" I ask. They shrug , but I can tell that they're lying, sorta like Emma Swan.

"Where?" I ask again. This time, only James shrugs. His arm moves backwards slightly...

A flash of light blinds me, and I can hear Sudowoodo crying out. When I blink the spots out of my eyes, I see Sudowoodo tied up with his own Vine Whips. James stands with an Inkay floating next to him.

"Seems the twerp had too big of an ego. She thought she could actually beat us! Hahahaha!"

I grit my teeth and get to my feet. I still have Koffing...

"Hey!" I scream as Meowth takes Koffing's Pokèball out of my pocket. "He's mine!" I try to snarl fiercely, but it sounds more like a feeble whisper. Team rocket laughs at me as Meowth ties me up. The last thing I see is a Carnivine using Sleep Powder, before I fall onto the grass, unconscious.

A/N- Did you like it? If you did, then I have a favor to ask all of you... Please review. I see that there are a ton of people who read this, but only one reviews. Please R&R. It would mean so much to me. Also, I will update faster if you review. And, with this cliffie, I think you'd want that... Hehe...

And, yes, Paul was Alex's boyfriend. I got that idea and I was just like, "Wow. Did my brain really think that up?" and then 3 days of typing on an itsy bitty tablet keyboard later, I finished! My PA broke, so this is l, I have, which means updates will be slower. But I will update!

Anyway, R&R!
