Finally finishing this :D

Enjoy!

"Okay, John. You know the electric toothbrush we have at home?" Blaine asked.

John nodded, sounding excited. "Yes! I love how it is tickling me."

Blaine grinned. As fast as children gained fear the lost it again. John was no different.

"Yes. And do you remember this one?" He showed of the hand piece.

John shook his head. "No, Daddy."

"Okay, no problem. I'll show you. It is just like the brush we have at home. The only differences are that it is a little louder and you can choose a flavour of toothpaste. Does that sound good?"

John nodded. "That is really cool. That one at home is loud already. Why is this one louder?"

Blaine smiled. Children and their endless questions. "Because..." Blaine paused and took John's finger "It is much faster for our big astronauts. NASA gives us tooth-doctors an extra amount of power to get you all clean and ready for departure, understood?" Blaine put on the hand piece. "And see, it is only tickling you, right?"

John giggled. "Stoooop, daddy"

Blaine chuckled but stopped. "Okay, John. Which tooth paste do you want? We have orange, bubble gum or raspberry?"

John got excited again, jumping up and down in the chair. "I want raspberry, who likes orange anyway?"

Blaine nodded approving. "I know, right. But some people like it best. I don't get it either." He shook his head in a played disapproval. "Can my little astronaut open up again? Say ahhhr like a tiger."

"I know how to open my mouth, daddy." John said quickly snd opened up wide.

Blaine got to work quickly. He didn't want John to become impatient.

Meanwhile Kurt sat outside. He was freaking out and couldn't keep himself from crying. He took out his phone and dialed Rachel's number. He had thought about just leaving, but that would leave a bad impression on John and he didn't want that. So he stayed and did his best in keeping himself from fainting.

Why would he always be the one to get those stupid cavities? He brushed as well as he could... He even flossed though it was bleeding. A thing he should probably be telling Blaine.

While thinking about that stuff he heard Rachel answering the phone.

"Kurt?" She asked in a worried tone. Kurt would never call her in the middle of the day.

"Rachel, could you come here?" Kurt sobbed.

"What is wrong, cutie? Where are you?" She sounded even more worried.

Kurt tried to just suck it up. He shouldn't make Rachel worry. "Sorry, everything is okay... Well no, but you couldn't do anything. Could you just come to Blaine's office and take John? We would be incredibly thankful." Kurt said, his voice being a little calmer.

Rachel chuckled. "Oh, that is the problem. Sure Kurt. But don't you think you are getting a little old for this? You have just turned thirty, be a man." Kurt could hear key clinging, Rachel must have gotten on her way already.

"Thanks, Rachel. Yeah, I am doing my best. But it isn't too easy..." Kurt hung up to catch his breath he had been holding for the last few seconds.

"Great, John. But now we need to get to the real business, remember why we cam here?"

John thought about it for a second. "Because it hurts to eat..." He said. Suddenly he seemed scared again. "I don't want you to look again, Daddy..."

"You are my big boy, John. And you know that I have a no pain rule. I just want you to be able to eat comfortably, again."

John nodded. He seemed to understand. "But can Dad come in again?"

"Of cause, you astronaut." Blaine said winking. "Kurt, can you come in again?

Kurt took a breath before he turned the door knob to reenter. John was still sitting in the chair, but he didn't look as happy anymore.

"John, daddy is only going to take another look to see what is bugging you. He is going to take the pain away and you can go and pick your toy, does that sound like a plan?"

John did want to eat. And he did want to get his toy, so he nodded. It was his daddy, daddy wouldn't hurt him... "Be careful, daddy."

"I will be. Ask Dad, he had multiple teeth fixed by me."

John looked at Kurt curiously. "You have? But you don't even eat cake..."

"Well, we still sometimes get little holes in our teeth. And daddy will look for one and put some stuff in to keep the hole from getting bigger, okay?"

John nodded. That sounded logical.

"Great, my big boy. Could you open up one more time? I'll try and find the place that hurt and see if there is a hole."

John nodded and opened his mouth once again.

Blaine was showing him his mirror and the explorer and explained why he needed them to see. After a few minutes he had looked at every tooth. He had only found one cavity, which was pretty small.

"Okay, John. You do have some sugar bugs that built a house in one of your teeth. But you know what? They choose a bad place, because that tooth is wiggling already. You remember how it is to have wiggly teeth? You have lost one a month ago."

John nodded. He was happy. He liked wiggly teeth.

"But you know, if it hurts you, I could help it come out a little faster. I have some magic paste that I can put around it and then I take it our easily, okay?"

John looked down sadly.

"What is wrong?" Kurt asked, stroking John hair.

"Will the tooth fairy not come?" John asked.

Blaine couldn't help but grin. "I actually have a deal with the tooth fairy. She will still accept that tooth, she doesn't mind."

John smiled again. "Okay. You can do it."

Both dads looked pleased. John was so brave.

"Okay, John. I'll put that magic gel on..." Blaine put some numbing gel on a q-tip "Open..." He applied it around the tooth as soon as John had opened.

"My mouth feels funny." John said and giggled. "How long is it going to feel funny?"

"Not long. It will be gone by the time you have your toy."

John nodded. "Okay."

"Great. Can you open again and close your eyes for a second? Teeth don't like kids to see how they come out." Blaine said happily.

John opened up after having shot his eyes tightly. Blaine was quickly pulling out the tooth, laying it down on a piece of paper on his tray.

John opened his eyes and poked around his mouth. One more tooth was missing. "That wash quick..." He seemed to be a little off in his talking.

"Yepp, I know. And here is the tooth, hold on to it, until you are home. Do you want a case in which it can rest until you put it beneath your pillow?"

Kurt admired Blaine on his abilities with children. He was so great.

John inspected the tooth. "It looks different..."

"Yeah, that is the house the sugar bug made for himself. But don't worry. I brushed them out off your mouth, too."

John nodded. "Okay." he said, hopping out of the chair.

"John, aunt Rachel is going to pick you up, so you can choose a toy. She has the best toys, doesn't she?"

John cheered. He loved Rachel, she was just as much of a bouncer ball as he was.

Speaking of the devil Rachel rigged the bell of the office. He greeted both men and it didn't need much convincing for John to leav with her. The men waved the two goodbye and were left alone.

Blaine took Kurt's hand, seeing his, though well hidden, still notable distress.

"You're gonna be fine, Kurt. I'll be quick."

Kurt shook his head. He didn't want this. And now John was gone he had no reason to keep his fear hidden. "No, Blaine. I don't want you to do it. Can we just leave it? I mean, I didn't feel it, that must mean it is small..."

Blaine raised his voice a little. He had learned that being a little harsh helped Kurt with this. "Nope, Kurt. We are going to get this done today. No point in arguing. But I have an option for you to get around the drill.

Kurt looked at him being confused. He thought he had a cavity.

"Well, Kurt. Dental technology is evolving, too. It is so small, we will need nothing more than a little acid and some liquid composite. A matter of minutes."

"And there is nothing I can do to let me do this another day?" Kurt asked, still in the hope of getting out, though he knew it wouldn't happen.

Blaine grinned, did Kurt really expect this to work?

"Nope, no way. but I gave you an alternative. If you like me to use the drill, I can do this, too."

Kurt shook his head rapidly. the thought of Blaine being in this mouth was bad enough. The drill would be the final straw.

"Okay, Blaine. But I want you to know, i hate you for forcing that whole thing on me, just because I did it while John was watching. That could have gone terribly wrong. Just imagine me being Jeff.

Blaine laughed out loud at that. Yes, if Kurt was a little more stubborn and/or scared, that could have been very counterproductive. But Blaine believed in Kurt. "Yeah, I knew you aren't. Okay, do you want to wait any longer? We could get this done now and we'll be out of here in like twenty minutes."

Kurt didn't even think about it. He was really happy he didn't have to face the drill today and having prepared for the dilemma that would have brought he was much calmer now. He sat down in the chair and as soon as Blaine had set up everything he obeyed to the comamnds. it really wasn't bad. It smelled a little weird, but that was all and it really was fast. The moment Blaine was done with it, Kurt jumped out of the chair.

"We are leaving this building now and I'll never come back in, again."

Blaine shook his head. "Yeah, as long as never stands for half a year, I am okay with that." He said, held Kurt, so he couldn't run any further and kissed him as quickly as he could.

Aaand it is done. I want to get this up tonight and I am terribly tired, so I did nothing more than a quick reread to check for mistakes. I hope it isn't too bad :)
