Luffy sat against the railing, coin on his thumb, ready to flip into the air. Just as he was ready to turn the potential energy to kinetic, the rhythmic flap of sandals caught his attention and enticed him enough to look up.
"Whatcha doin'?" Nami took a seat beside her captain, eyeing the placement of the coin.
"Flipping a coin," His eyes traveled back down to his fist with a small sigh. "to make a decision."
"Between what and what?" Nami raised an eyebrow. It was very unusual for Luffy to be so calm, so… quiet. "Is it a big decision?" She asked after a moment of not receiving an answer. The young man nodded slowly. That was enough for her, feeling it was best not to press the issue. Luffy finally leaned his head back and looked at the sky. "Do you honestly think a coin is going to settle it for you?"
"No, I don't," He gave her a sidelong glance. Turning his gaze back to the infinite blue, he flicked the coin up. As the sun's light played and danced across the coin's glossy surface, Nami could only hear his words because of the overwhelming silence.
"I just want to know what I'm hoping for."
Hope you guys like this one better than the last. I know I do! 8D
