Chapter 3

Day 15, Month 01, Year 03

Tetra's POV

It had been almost a week since the night I shared a bed with Link. At this point I thought that he'd forgotten about. Unfortunately I was wrong. I was going around checking the status of the crew working on the upper deck and decided to join Link who was on duty in the crows nest. When I got to the top I saw that Link seemed extremely immersed in his work which was very weird, especially for Link.

"Never did I think I would you of all people so focused on his job." I said with a smile.

"That's because this job is super easy! I couldn't have asked for easier work. Thanks for putting me up here Tets!"

"No problem. Anything for you Link."

"Really, anything?"

"Umm yah. Why are you saying it like that?"9

"I don't really know. But that's besides the point. Remember that attack from when we stopped at that island yesterday?"

"Yah what about it?"

"Well one of the cannons destroyed my half of our room so can I share your bed?"

"I can just have the crew fix it."

"But the last time we did it worked so well. Why bother using resources for something that's not really necessary?"

"Oh alright fine. But stay on your half of the bed this time." As soon as I said that Link started blushing.

"What's wrong Link, not good at sharing?" I said in a teasing way.

"Oh shut up!"

"Ok, you have fun looking for attackers while I go below deck and get some work done."

"You're going to get drunk aren't you."

"Fuck yeah I am! We're dropping anchor in about an hour so you can join me after that."

Link's POV

About one hour later

I came into my quarters to find a drunken Tetra. She made the cutest faces when she was drunk. I decided not to waste any time and started to drink.

A few drinkslater

"You know Tetra, I like you best when your like this. You aren't so serious and I love it."

"Love is a strong word, Link."

"Soooooooo, it don't matter."

Tetra got up and walked towards me. She brought her chair and sat down next to me.

"Hehe, your cute Link."

"Ok, Tetra, Tetra...how much have had to drink tonight?"

"A lot. Why?"

"I don't know"

The two of us burst out laughing. When our laughing subsided, we looked into each others eyes. And then something unexpected happened.

Tetra quickly leaned towards me, wrapped her arms around my neck and planted her lips on mine. About ten seconds later Tetra pushed me away. She had a look of regret on her face.

Tetra's POV

Oh my goddesses what have I done!

"Ummm...That was something." Link said

"Oh Link, I'm so sorry."

"Hey calm down Tets. Do I look upset to you?"

"No."

"Then why are you apologizing?"

"I guess because I'm coming on to you and your my first mate and this is wrong and I love you and-"

"Wait what?"

At that point I was ready to crawl in a hole and die. I was so extremely embarrassed."

"Hmm?"

"What did you just say?"

"I said your my first mate."

"After that."

"I love you. There I said it, I love you Link."

We sat in silence for about 30 seconds. Link looked like he was still trying to take in what just happened. He then let out a sigh of relief.

"Tetra, I've wanted to tell you for a long time but I love you too."

I had never been happier than at that moment in my entire life.

"Umm...maybe we should get to bed."

"Good idea."

The two of us climbed into the bed which tonight seemed smaller then before. Clearly the part of the Great Sea we were in had weird weather because tonight it was really hot in the room. I could hear Link taking of his shirt. A part of me was glad, the other part was freaking out. The part that was glad decided to take over.

Quietly I said to Link "Why don't we snuggle a little bit?"

"Sure Tets. Whatever you want."

I moved back until I could feel myself in his embrace. I immediately felt at ease and slowly drifted to sleep in the arms of the one I loved and I had great dreams knowing that he loved me back.
