His first thought is, they're coming for Canada.
This is, of course, ridiculous. A half-choked, hysterical laugh escapes him at
the thought, but judging by the others' expressions, they don't realize that he's laughing.
His second thought is, you couldn't stop them.
His third thought is interrupted as explosions rock the sky and the city starts to shake.
Regret. Click.
It's a strange feeling.
Incomplete. Numb.
He hears screaming, and multiple strikes hitting the city.
So many people that never made it to the Stargate.
He regrets that instantly, and thinks of everything else he hasn't done.
So many regrets- little things, really, he'd never have thought to consider.
Never finished War and Peace.
Never bought himself a dog.
Never got out alive.
Fear. Click.
She feels frozen, barely aware.
There is fire, and chaos; blood, and she doesn't know where she is.
Then she remembers. Atlantis. Power sources. Not Ancestors knocking on the door,
demanding back their city.
Just Wraith- so many wraith. Demanding so many lives.
She is not often helpless, and does not know what to do with the feeling.
She remains frozen as they approach her, snarling with hunger.
Pain. Click.
He feels it snap inside him, ricocheting through his body.
Physical, from the blast, and something else.
He can remember the last time he lost his entire world.
He's not usually this bitter, but it feels too much like Sateda,
all over again,
and they are getting away with it, all over again.
Something inside him twists, tortures him as all chances of revenge,
retribution, fall away.
This time, he does not run.
