I take a step back, I feel my face heat up, I bow quickly, feeling foolish for not realizing the Prince was the one calming me.
"I'm sorry; I didn't realize it was you. Forgive me." I whisper for fear that my voice was raw from crying.
I look back up at him, he certainly was handsome.
"Don't be sorry, I know that it's difficult to lose someone you're close to." Prince Charmont replied.
I looked at him. 'What is he saying?' I thought, he hasn't lost anyone close, he still has his family. But I held my tongue and turned away,
"Wait! Tell me where you're going!" Prince Charmont commanded.
I stopped. And turned to stare at him, bowing low I said, "Going up the stairs, your majesty."
"May I accompany you?" Prince Charmont asked.
"If it pleases you, Your Majesty", I responded, bewildered why he would want to.
I turned again and started up the stairs, on the first step, he touched my elbow.
"Please, call me Char". He said smiling.
I nodded and waited for him to come by my side.
We walked in silence up the stairs.
Help! I don't know what will await them up the stairs!! Have any ideas?
