Humour Drabble - "Meet the Parents"

"You see? It wasn't nearly as bad as you thought it would be," said Remus soothingly as he and Tonks left his parents' house.

"I'm sorry, did you just say it wasn't bad?" replied Tonks incredously. "Were we in the same room? They were both staring at my hair the whole time!" Her mouth curved into a moody pout. "They hate me."

"Don't be silly," Remus reassured, placing his arm around her as they walked. Remus didn't live far away from his parents, so it wasn't worth Apparating.

"Didn't you see their face's?" Tonks sounded suprised. "Honestly, your mother's, especially!" Remus frowned.

"I didn't see anything ..."

"Urgh, I'll show you." Tonks screwed up her face in that pained way; her fuschia spikes lengthened and clouded to a greying-brown, her eyes darkened back to brown and her mouth pursed a little. Once the face was complete, she opened her eyes and pulled a face; nose wrinkled up, eyes filled with distaste, mouth turned down. Remus' mouth began to twitch.

"So, er, Nymphadora, is your hair always so ... Colourful?" Tonks' impersonation was spot on. Remus chuckled lightly, in spite of himself.

"You left this behind," said a familiar voice from behind the couple. They froze for a moment, praying it wasn't who they knew it was. Braced for the explosion, they turned around. Remus' mother stood there, lips still pursed. She handed Remus his cloak (it was a warm night, so it'd been pretty easy to forget), then turned on her heel and marched off. Tonks groaned miserably.

"Well, that could've been worse ..." Remus tried to be positive. "I don't know how, but there was probably a way ..."
