Author's Note: I'm not into writing as much as I used to be, but I had this idea knocking around in my head that couldn't let go of. I kept it short, sweet and fluffy. Enjoy!

As the morning sun rose in the sky of Alwas, Jordan lay curled up in his bunk. He was awake but not quite ready to get out of bed yet. On peaceful mornings like this he liked to lie in bed and listen to the sounds of the new day starting. Stan and Koji were in the hangar tinkering with the Whizzing Arrow; Don Wei was boiling a pot of coffee for his breakfast; and in the bathroom Molly was singing off-key. He smiled at how badly she was butchering the song and decided to use the shower when she was done. When the water stopped running Jordan got out of bed. Molly's loud, unmelodic wailing went on as he stretched his arms, winced at the popping noise his bones made, and scanned the floor looking for his uniform.

Suddenly an earth-shattering scream broke the calm. Koji and Stan dropped their tools and Don Wei spilled hot coffee on his shirt. Jordan jumped out of his skin and nearly tripped over a boot. Then the door of his room slid open and Molly stormed in wearing nothing but a towel around her. As if that weren't shocking enough, her hair color had gone from bright red to yellowish-orange.

Apparently Jordan had left his Gold Sunburst Yellow hair dye in the exact same spot of the shower where Molly usually left her Flaming Tomato Red, and she had been too busy singing to bother reading the label when she picked it up. He insisted it was an accident as she accused him of playing a prank on her, and soon Don Wei came in with a coffee-stained jacket to make the yelling even worse. He loudly reminded Molly that she was to compete in a race today, not a beauty contest. Molly in turn refused to go out in public as a blonde. Don Wei replied that she didn't have a choice, which sent Molly stamping out the door in a huff.

As Don Wei was about to leave, Jordan spoke up. "Sir, don't be mad at Molly. It's my fault, I left my color lying around."

Don Wei stopped in the door and gave him a stern look over his shoulder. "Then I suggest you do something about it. You two are partners, after all. If you can't get along, there's no way you can win."

He walked off to change his jacket, leaving Jordan wondering why everything he said sounded like the end of the world. He shuffled to the bathroom grimly and stared at his reflection in the mirror. Do something about it, huh? Like what? He wasn't the Avatar. He couldn't snap his fingers and magically change Molly's hair back to normal. He also couldn't go to the nearest hair salon and buy some product that would help; this was a planet of bald squid people.

There was a bottle sitting on the edge of the sink. He picked it up and read the label; Flaming Tomato Red. He looked in the shower and saw an identical bottle with a different name. What were the odds that they would both use the same brand of hair dye? Now she'd be all sulky and mad at him for the rest of the day, maybe even until the yellow grew out on its own in seven months. Sigh.

Wait. He grabbed the other bottle and read the directions on the back of the label. Same as the ones on the other. Hmm. Quickly he turned on the water in the shower. Maybe there was a way to solve this after all.

He found Molly later in the hangar, brooding on the steps with her chin in her hands. She didn't notice him behind her until he nudged her with the toe of his boot. Looking up at him her eyes went wide. His hair had become as red as hers used to be.

"Jordan? What did you do to yourself?"

"Like it? It's your color. What do you think?"

She stared at him a moment longer. "You look good." she smiled.

He grinned with pride.

Then she added, "Do you think Prince Aikka likes blondes?"
