Chapter 6
Krad, finally annoyed out of what little mind he had left, tied Dark to a tree. He drug Kurai behind him all the way to the... umm, the place where they write Homicidal Monthly.
"Okay, which room...?"
"The article says room 24. It's at the end of the hall on the right." Kurai said in her usual happy tone, this time with more of a know-it-all voice.
"I don't want to know how you knew where 24 is..."
They arrived at the destination and looked around. No one was there. Krad tried the door but, unfortunately, it was locked. Kurai laughed at him then unlocked it. She told him she'd stolen the key from behind the front desk.
"Look for an address or something..."
"Krad? Why don't we wait here until she comes? She always comes around noon even on her days off. Gossip never sleeps ya know."
Krad sat in the chair behind the desk. "So what's they're names?"
"Noi, Megan, and... umm..."
Krad glared at her. "You?"
"I swear I didn't help with this one! I told them not to! I even quit... well, I was gonna..." She hid behind the file cabinet. "Don't kill me..."
"They're coming."
"How'd you know it was them?"
"You just told me... Get down, they'll see you."
"I work with them..."
"Whatever..." He hid behind the door.
The two columnists came in, chatting about the rates on they're last article. They looked around the room. Something just wasn't right. As gossip columnists, they paid no further attention and went to their seats.
"It was a great idea, using Krad as the guinea pig." Noi laughed.
"It was a great article too. Everyone loved it. Do you think Krad is a subscriber? He'd get upset, and he is homicidal." Megan pointed out.
"There's no chance he could get in here." Noi closed the door, revealing a very angry Krad.
"Oh, I can't get in here?" The two backed up to avoid any unpleasant breaking of bones or bleeding. "I think the pinata idea was very good one. Kurai, can you help?"
Kurai came out from her spot. "I uhh, Krad?"
"What now?"
"They're my friends. Can't we just abuse Dark?"
He looked at her, shocked. "Your friends? Kurai, these people can't be your friends if they write gossip columns. They just can't be trusted."
"But... I write them too..."
"Beat by a technicality... One more article with me in it as a bad thing, and I'll use the pinata idea. Come on, Kurai, Dark's still tied to a tree."
Kurai gave him a hug. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou! You'resonice!" She all but yelled in one breath.
"Hey, you want to return the favor?"
"Sure, how?"
"Don't hug me ever again..."
Kurai let go of him and followed him back to her house. When they got there, the thief had escaped.
"Another day maybe. Kikiji I'm home." Kurai looked around for Kikiji. "Krad! Dark stole Kikiji!"
Krad sighed. More Dark problems... Can't he get just one day without that? He supposed this was his curse for being so much better than Dark in every way. "Kurai, I know where he is. Follow me."
They walked to an old, abandoned house. Silently, they walked in and began their search for the thief. It shouldn't exactly be hard, considering he has very noticeable purple hair. After about ten minutes, they found him. He was attempting to put Kikiji in a cage.
"Stupid dog! Get in the stupid cage already!"
"Stupid Dark, let my dog out of the stupid cage." Kurai muttered, mocking Dark.
"Okay, Kurai, wait until the dog gets away from him again, then attack." Krad looked over to where she was. "Kurai?...Man, why can't she listen?"
Kurai bit Dark's hand. "Let go of her!" She hit his head off everything within range. "Let go you stupid thief!"
Krad decided it was best to stay out of this one. "It's true, crime never pays... There are lessons in this stupid story after all..."
After a very entertaining twenty-three minutes and fifty-seven seconds, Dark had been knocked out. Kurai got some paper and glued it on him. She tied a string around his feet and hung him from a tree at her niece's fifth birthday party. "Look kids! Over there! It's a life-sized Dark pinata!" She gave one a bat and a blindfold and watched, eating cake, as they beat him to a bloody pulp. Okay, so he wasn't a pulp, but it was pretty bad.
Krad sat at the table across form Kurai, eating ice cream. "Looks like your plan was a good idea. And it was nice of you to let Noi and Megan have the story. There's gonna be an interesting next issue, don't you think?"
A month later, Kurai opened Homicidal Monthly to The Real Reason and read it to Krad.
The Real Reason...

Why Dark was a Pinata.
A few weeks ago, The famous thief Dark was beat to the point of hospitalization by a group of five-year-old. We have an interview with the birthday child's aunt, Kurai Tenshi.
"I wanted revenge." Says Kurai. "He stole my dog."
"So all he did was steal your pet?"
"No, not my pet, my friend. Besides, Kikiji is a Hikari art. Krad couldn't let im have her. She's only a puppy anyway. Never trust Dark with animals other than rabbits."

Well, there you have it and sorry for the wait, the typos, and the shortness. My H button isn't working right. I'll try to get a new chapter up each week, I just had serious writers block. And I am open to suggestions for the next chapter. Actually I'm hoping for suggestions. Pathetic, I know. TTTT
