I Don't Want To Feel

Chapter Two

Voldemort's latest and most anticipated recruit calmly apparated into the dreary Riddle house, quickly throwing open the double door in front of him and striding into the room. A man lay writhing in front of Voldemort, his screams echoing around the room. The boy strode on, black cloak billowing, not even flinching at the sight before him.

"Ah, if it isn't my most favourite Servant."

"My Lord." the boy mumbled, bowing. Voldemort nodded and removed the spell from the other man.

"Do not fail me again, Macnair--or your next punishment will have no end."

"Y-y-yes, Milord." Macnair murmured, stumbling as he hurried out of the room.

"Now..." Voldemort said calmly, turning his attention back to the young man before him. "What brings you here? News from Hogwarts?"

"I happened to hear that bumbling McGonagall muttering about a student gone missing, my Lord."

"Hmm...so, they've noticed."

"Noticed, my Lord?"

"Yes..." Voldemort said, steepling his fingers and eyeing his right hand. "I'd like to ask you something, my dear boy."

"My Lord, yes, anything."

"Are you up for a new assignment--maybe a promotion of some sort?"

"What should I do, Master?"

"Our new prisoner...he's an old--friend. He needs to feel right at home down in those lovely dungeons. Watch him; and when you...return...make sure everyone thinking nothing is going on. Understand?"

"Yes, my Lord. Of course." He bowed and quickly left the room, making an abrupt right to proceed down to the dungeons.

'Make sure everyone thinks nothing is going on'? What is that supposed to mean? The man in black asked himself as he walked down the winding staircase. His footsteps echoed as the stairs continued on and on, leading deep into the dungeons of the Riddle House.

Upon arriving at his destination, the first sound that reached his ears was the snoring of a man. Asleep, on a chair across from the cell that most likely held the prisoner, was Nott. He frowned. This prisoner had sounded quite important--and to be asleep! He prodded the sleeping man with his wand.

"Nott! Get up, you worthless piece of vermin! GET UP!" The man, Nott, shivered and slowly opened his eyes. Recoiling at the sight that met him, he quickly got up.

"I-I-...P-P-...Sir."

"Nott. How nice of you to finally join me."

"Sir, I--"

"Get up and get out of my sight. Our Master will hear about this. Asleep! Guarding a prisoner!"

"I can ex--"

"Just get out of my sight."

"Yes..."

The man narrowed his eyes at him, and he took a step back.

"Sir." Nott finished, quickly spinning on his heel and walking up the stairs as fast as he could. The man rolled his eyes and sighed. Pathetic, he thought, pulling the chair near himself. Guard duty. This was slave work--fit only for fools like Nott. He was meant for so much more than this! He glanced around the room, as if inspecting it to be sure no one else was there to ruin his mood even more, and then turned around to sit down.

Upon facing the cell in front of him, he tried to adjust his eyes to the dark and see just who this "old friend" was. He did not understand who could really be this important coming from Hogwarts who was not under high protection by the almighty Dumbledore. He stood up, walking towards the cell, not ready to see the sight that met him there, staring back at him.

"Well, well, well...who would have known."

"Malfoy!"

Ooohhh...now, who said what? You shall never know! Muhahhaha
