Part 1.1 of Venom and Tears Series: Ginny's POV in Chp 1 of Basilisk Eyes. Harry just saved Ginny from dying in the Chamber of Secrets at the cost of his vision - Basilisk venom and blood got in his eyes and Phoenix Tears weren't administered quickly enough to stave off the damage. Ginny finds the Sorting Hat and puts it on because it is the only way to carry it.

Harry comes back from Quidditch practice and finds something in his trunk that shouldn't be there. Finding it leads him down the road of realizing he isn't who he's always thought he was.
