Chapter 4: Girl Talk
Wednesday June 5th 2013, Aphrodite Cabin
"I think I'm in love… with Blaine Anderson."
All four girls started shrieking.
"Ah! You're so lucky Kurt!" Marley shrieked.
"Lucky? Blaine's totally straight," Kurt said.
"Straight?" Kitty snorted, "Maybe you should tell him that."
"What do you mean?" Kurt asked.
"What she means is that Blaine is no straighter than you or I. You should see what he wears on field trips," Quinn said.
"What does he wear?" Kurt asked.
"He wears really bright skinny jeans, shirts, suspenders, bow ties, and a ridiculous amount of hair gel. If he's not a dolphin then I'll jump off a cliff," Brittany said.
"How do you know he's gay?" Kurt asked.
"Um, we have excellent gaydar. Our charm doesn't work on gay or bisexual boys," Marley said.
"And so Blaine is gay?" Kurt asked.
"Definitely," Kitty confirmed.
"Then why am I lucky? He's bound to have a boyfriend," Kurt said.
"Kurt, come sit down. It's time we tell you who's dating who," Quinn said pulling Kurt over and plopping him down.
"Kurt. You think you are in love with Blaine Anderson. Correct?" Kitty asked.
"Correct. And I don't see how I'm lucky," Kurt said.
"You are lucky because Blaine is one of the only gays that are single," Marley said.
"How many gays are there?" Kurt asked.
"There are 9 gays besides us in this room. Well, I don't know. Does Unique count as gay or straight?" Quinn cocked her head and asked Marley.
"Unique's real name is Wade and is a guy. But she identifies herself as a woman. So technically she's straight," Marley said.
"Who's Unique?" Kurt asked.
"Sorry, forgot you don't know everybody yet. Wade/Unique Adams is daughter of Hecate, Goddess of magic. She changes really quickly. One minute she'll be Unique and the next she'll be Wade. She's Kitty and my best friend. All three of us hang out all the time," Marley explained.
"Oh, I understand. So who are the other gays?" Kurt asked.
"You met all of the Warblers right?" Kitty asked.
"Yes."
"Okay, so all of the gay guys are on the Warblers. Nick Duval, and Jeff Sterling are gay and dating each other. Same with Sebastian Smythe and Hunter Clarington. The only available gay gays are Trent and Blaine," Quinn said.
"And the other two are Santana and Rachel?" Kurt asked.
Kitty smiled, "You're catching on."
"Now we have to go into who's dating who," Brittany said, and then thought about it. "Huh, I guess there's only one couple you don't know about. Wes Montgomery is Dating Katherine Hepburn, Blaine and Rachel's sister."
"Then that's it? I have all the other couples?" Kurt asked.
"Yes," The four girls replied.
Kurt sat back on the bed and looked around the room. 4 of the 6 vanities were covered in stuff. Including pictures rimming the mirrors. Kurt's eyes fell onto the two sets of double doors.
"David said something about a walk-in closet?" Kurt asked.
Quinn smile, "Yeah. Right through the double door on the left. Your stuff is already in there. Go look."
Kurt scrambled off the bed and opened the doors on the left. He entered the huge walk-in closet about half the size of the cabin. There were 6 parts, all the same except filled with different clothes. They also had names at the top of the parts. He walked around all the parts. The first one said Marley and it had hi tops, jeans, sweaters, and newsboy caps. The second one said Kurt and had what little possessions he had, including his sai swords. The third said Kitty and it had blouses, jeans, and hi tops. The fourth name read Quinn and was full of dresses, a few hats, and heels. Brittany read the fifth name and it had animal hats, sweaters, and hi tops. The sixth was empty.
Kurt said down in the seat in the middle of the closet. "This is huge. I think I landed in heaven."
The girls laughed behind him.
"Would you like to see the bathroom?" Brittany asked.
"Yes! Of course!" Kurt shot up and was out of the room very quickly.
"I hope you don't mind sharing with us girls," Kitty said as she opened the double doors to the right of the closet.
They entered the bathroom and Kurt's mouth fell open. There were 2 walk-in showers and a huge bathtub in the ground that was more like a Jacuzzi. There were also 2 sinks upon a long counter and then there was a gold rimmed toilet. There was also a shelf full of luffa's, shampoo's. conditions. Body washes, and razors as well as another shelf full of fluffy towels and robes.
"We do all of our hair and moisturizing at our vanities, It's just easier that way," Quinn said.
"Speaking of which, we should set up your vanity and bed," Marley said.
"You're going to sleep in between me and Quinny! Marley and Kitty sleep on the other side," Brittany said clapping her hands.
Kurt smiled. "Okay Britt, you want to help me? Since you guys put my clothes in the closet, do you know where the rest of my stuff is?"
Britt skipped over to one of the beds and pulled a box out from under the bed. "Here," she said and handed the box to him.
"Thanks," Kurt said taking the box.
"This is your bed," Brittany said pointing to the bed to the left of the bed she had pulled the box out from. "And that's your vanity," she said pointing to the vanity to the right of his bed.
Kurt set down the box on his bed and pulled out his lotions and set them on his vanity along with his hair gel. He then pulled out his pictures. Quinn looked over at some of the pictures. She smiled at one of them.
"Is that mom?" Quinn asked.
"Yeah. When she was pregnant with me," Kurt said.
"She's beautiful. Dad never had any pictures of her in the house," Quinn said.
And indeed she was beautiful. She looked like an Aphrodite. She had her long black hair curled with a gold headband. She was wearing a flowing white low v-neck dress that went over her bump down to the floor, but you could see her bare feet. She was also wearing gold armbands to match her headband. Her blue eyes were trained on someone behind the camera. She was holding her stomach and had a huge smile on her face.
"Yeah, this is my favorite picture of her," Kurt said.
"How did your dad not know she was Aphrodite?" Kitty asked.
"Because she said her name was Elizabeth. That's why my middle name is Elizabeth," Kurt said. He put the picture inside the rim of the vanity. He pulled out the next picture of him and Noah when they were 12 posing with his dad.
"You were cute. Puck too. And that's your dad? You definitely look like mom," Marley said.
Kurt laughed. "I get that all the time. Noah and I actually met in 3rd grade when a bully tripped him on the playground. I helped him up and yelled at the bully. We've been best friends ever since."
"Aww, that's so sweet. Grover would be proud of Puck," Kitty said.
"Why would Grover care?" Kurt cocked his head and asked.
"Because Grover is Puck's older brother," Quinn said.
"I'm going to kill Noah," Kurt said as he put the picture in the rim of the mirror.
Quinn pulled out another picture, this time of the Glee Club, it was taken after they won Regional's, right before Rachel disappeared. Kurt was standing between Noah and Finn, who had his arm around Rachel who was on his other side.
"This is Finn? The big oaf?" Quinn asked.
"Hey he's still my brother. Be nice," Kurt said, taking the picture from Quinn and putting it in the rim. He then pulled out his stuffed bear from the box and put it on the bed
"Ooh Kurtie you have a bear? What's his name?" Brittany asked.
"Wawa," Kurt replied.
"He's cute! I have a cat at home. His name is Lord Tubbington. I miss him. I was helping him get over his drug addiction when I left for camp last month. I hope he doesn't sell my stuff again. I think I'll call him tomorrow," Brittany said.
Kurt didn't know what to say to this. Marley just patter Brittany's shoulder. "It's okay Britt. I'm sure he's not selling anything. I think he's probably just going to sit around and miss you."
"I have a question for you all," Kurt said.
"Okay, shoot," Kitty said.
"What happened to the cabin? In the Lost Hero it says it was pink and smelled of perfume. And what happened to all the other campers? There were like 15 girls and guys," Kurt said.
"That's easy. After Drew stepped down and Piper took over, she got rid of the pink and perfume. And all of the other campers either left, disappeared, or died on quests. The triplets came 2 years ago and there were only 4 others. They all left. So the triplets are the oldest," Marley explained.
"So technically Brittany is cabin counselor because she's the oldest of us three, but we don't really do the whole thing because there are so few of us," Quinn said.
"And since it's only us, we decided we needed to makeover the cabin. So we went with green and blue because we all liked it and then we got the boys of Hephaestus to build and obtain this stuff for us," Kitty explained.
"Another thing I don't understand. The cabin looks a lot bigger on the inside then it does on the outside," Kurt said.
"That is where the boys of Hecate come in. We got them to put a charm on this place so it's bigger on the inside than on the outside," Quinn explained.
"Thank you for clearing that up, I'm no longer confused," Kurt said as he fell back on the bed. He closed his eyes.
"Aw girls, he's tired. Better let him sleep," Kitty said climbing off his bed.
"Night Kurtie!" Brittany said as she crawled into her bed next to him.
"Night Britt," Kurt mumbled. He heard someone clap their hands and the lights went out right before he fell asleep.
Sorry if that was kinda boring. And again, I am so sorry I haven't updated, there is just so much that has been going on. First Cory died; so then I lost my spark for a little while. And then I started high school and was busy with softball, and then my brother lit our house on fire so I wasn't living there for 6 months. And there were issues with my mental health so I had to go to the hospital. And my mom was arrested, so my mom and brother were both in jail at the same time, and then my grandpa died and I was busy with the school musical (Beauty and the Beast) and then over the summer I was busy so all around my life has been chaotic and I'm so sorry for this year and a half long delay.
