Chapter Two: So Perfect Together

"Look, Sirius, I'm sorry." Remus muttered. He had apologized to everyone so far, except Sirius, because he knew Sirius was hurt. He didn't seem why though. he had yelled at Sirius before, and he hadn't cared then.

"Why are you sorry?" Sirius asked, in an insanely cheery voice.

"For yelling at you" Remus reminded Sirius.

"Oh that. Why are you sorry about that. you yell at me all the time!" Sirius pointed out.

"Well, you looked hurt..." Remus said, very bemused.

"I know, I'm quite a good actor." Sirius giggled.

"Did you just giggle? I am very discombobulated!" Remus slapped his forehead to add effect.

"DISCOMBOBULATED! I LOVE THAT WORD! Discombobulate-ed, discombobulate-ed, discombobulate-ed. What does it mean?"

"A verb that means disconcert or confused."

"Great, now I'm discombobulated. THANKS!" Sirius said discombobulatedly. (A/N I know that's not a word, but bare with me.)

"So, you're not mad at me anymore?" Remus queried.

"No, I never was mad at you. I just felt like being mad at someone and you were the obvious choice!"

"Right, so we're still friends?" Remus asked uncertainly.

"Sure mate. We're still marauders! We're still mates! God, don't take my upseted-ness over nothing so seriously!" (A/N I know upseted-ness is yet another non-word. I don't care)

"You so like her!" James and Sirius teased.

"Do not." Remus said, trying to read, but shooting several glances towards Sam.

"Yes you do. You already look like a couple, and act like a couple. It's just the fact that you haven't discussed it with her yet!" Sirius exclaimed.

Sam came over to Remus, "Hey Remmy, you mind if I borrow that book you said I could look at?" she asked.

"I.. er, ah, yeah, er ok... ah, yeah." Remus stuttered.

"Yes, he has it here." Jame prompted for him, gently taking the book from Remus' hands and passing it to Sam.

"Thanks." Sam smiled, before turning around and heading to her chair on the other side of the room.

"You so like him!" Bronte and Georgia teased.

"Do not." Sam said, trying to read, but shooting several glances towards Remus.

"Yes you do. You already look like a couple, and act like a couple. It's just the fact that you haven't discussed it with him yet!" Bronte exclaimed.

Remus walked over to Sam, "Hey Sam, you mind if I borrow that book you said I could look at? Since you've got that one I lent you." he asked.

"I.. er, ah, yeah, er OK... ah, yeah." Sam stuttered.

"Yes, she has it here." Georgia prompted for her, gently taking the book from Sam's hands and passing it to Remus.

"Thanks." Remus smiled, before turning around and heading to his chair on the other side of the room.

"OK, we have GOT to get them together!" Lee and Jordan said. Remus and Sam were sitting together doing homework. The others were on the other side of the common room, watching.

"God, they look so perfect together!" Sirius said. Bronte briefly patted his cheek, before flushing and turning to talk to Lily.

Georgia and Chad however, weren't part of this conversation,. As they were currently on the couch making out, oblivious of Sirius' frequent shouts of "Get a room".

Sirius stared at the back of Bronte's head, before everyone continued discussing this matter.

"I know! Lets frame them both so they both get a detention, sorting out something in the Room of Requirements. Have it all set up for them, something sweet and romantic!" Sirius shouted.

"Shhhh." Bronte began, "Actually, I think that's a very good idea!"

"You can't be se... actually, that might just work!" Lee exclaimed.

"Oh my god hell no... you might be right there Lee." Jordan realized.

"So it's settled." James concluded. "I'll get Remus in trouble, Jordan, you get Sam. Sirius and Bronte, you get McGonagall assign them to the Room of Requirement, and Lily, you set the room up. One condition though Lee and Jordan."

"What?" They asked simultaneously.
"You have to both admit that you so like each other!"

Lee and Jordan looked at each other, smiled, nodded, and everyone scampered to get to their jobs.

"James, I can't believe you got me a detention!" Remus said angrily.

"I do that all the time!" James pointed out.
"Yes, but usually you get a detention too."

"Better get to the Room of Requirement, or you'll be late!" James changed the subject suddenly.

Remus headed off to the R.O.R, mumbling under his breath about hexing James.

He was about to step into the R.O.R, when he sees Sam going in as well.

"Do you have a detention in their?" he asked her.

"Yeah. Jordan framed me!" She said, with mild anger, before continuing. "Why? Do you?"

"Yup. James framed me." He replied. They both sighed, and walked into the room.

They stood, shocked just inside.

"Oh my god!" Sam muttered. In front of her was a table, with candles and glorious food, juice, and so many books. (A/N That doesn't really sound that lovely yet, but that's because I can't be bothered explaining everything. Use your imagination and get yourself a vision of a lovely dinner or lunch or something...)

Remus turned to Sam and was about to say something, when Sam picked up a parchment in an envelope of paper from the table, marked 'Remus' on the front.

Remus took it in his hands, opened it, and read:

We knew you wouldn't do anything without our help! Don't be mad...

There is a lot of chocolate too...

Anyways, tell her you like her mate. Or we may have to question either A) your heterosexuality, or B) whether or not you really are a marauder!

So dude, don't spoil your chance!

"Wankers." Remus muttered under his breath.

"What?" Sam asked.

"Look Sam, this is all some plan set up by I assume Sirius and Bronte, and probably Lee and Jordan as well. Sirius and James keep telling me to ask you out..." Remus said, stuttering a bit as he did so. Feeling very awkward and trying no to look Sam in the eye.
Sam giggled, before speaking, " Bronte and Georgia have been doing the same thing to me..."

They both stood there awkwardly, before Remus step forward and gave Sam a small peck on the cheek, and then they both flushed a deep red. As red as red paper to be exact, (A/N TAKE THAT SAM).

They both sat down and started eating chocolate, and having a very neutrally friendly conversation about what smart wizards and witches talk about.

"So?" Sirius asked Remus.

"So what?"

"Gimme the details! Kissing? Talking? Hugging?" He plagued.

James and Lee joined in. (Chad and Georgia were both being less and less seen, only at lessons and meals.)

"We talked, and we ate chocolate. And I did kind of kiss her once, on the cheek." Remus said, turning a slightly flushed red color.

"How do you 'kind of' kiss someone? But anyway, good job mate. So, are you FINALLY a couple?" Sirius was like a thing that never stopped asking questions. (A/N I would use a simile, but there really is nothing that permanently asks questions to compare him too!)

"I don't really know. I mean, I want to ask her out, and I'm pretty sure she likes me too, I just, don't know. I've never really, had a close girlfriend. I've had a few, about 5, but none of them were really ever people I was close too. I mean, what if she says no? What if she doesn't like me?" Remus started burbling.

"God damn it Moony!" Sirius yelled, before grabbing Remus' favorite book from beside his bed. "Ask her out to tomorrow's Hogsmeade or the book goes in the fire."

Remus gasped, and ran out of the room, in search of Sam.

He found her quickly. She was in the common room, talking to Bronte, Jordan and Lily. Surprise, surprise, no Georgia to be seen.

"Sam, could, er, I, er, talk to you for a second?" Remus asked.

"Sure." Sam got up and walked over to Remus.

"Sam, tomorrow's Hogsmeade trip... Do you want to go with me, like a kind of, maybe as, a date?" he asked, looking at the floor so intensely Sam wondered whether she was being asked out or the carpet.

"If you're asking me out over the carpet you're talking to, then sure. I've been waiting for you to ask all year. Well, more since about first year. So only four years over due..." She started speaking, and was cut in by Bronte shouting "you're burbling Sam!".

"Really?" Remus asked, looking at Sam surprisingly stunned.

"No Remus, I said yes, followed by something which now sounds soppy as a joke. Har-de-har-fucking-har." she replied, in her most sarcastic voice.

Remus looked at her, smiled and then took a step forward and kissed her.

"Finally Snow! A 'a four year overdue' first kiss!" the girls cheered. Sirius, James and Lee walked out of their dorm and started to cheer too. Until the other Gryffndor in the common room started looking at them weirdly. The girls disappointed as Remus was now taken, the boys disappointed as Samantha was now taken. (The Marauders and the Marauderettes are world-famous in Hogwarts as the most popular people in the school. To even say hello to one was a memory to worship, and every time one of them was taken there was such mourning taking place it was as if someone had died.)

Sam and Remus broke apart blushing, before getting back to what they had been doing before.
