A/N

Okies, well I'm gonna be honest here; I used to hate Tifa. And, I mean, really really really hate her. And, do you wanna know why? It was mostly because of the Tifa x Cloud x Aeris triangle thingy-ma bobber. Stupid right? I got carried away, but I came to understand the immaturity of my ways. Aeris/Aerith is still my favorite Final Fantasy character period, but Tifa comes in second. She's so kickass:D

So…anyways…on to the fic! The pairing is Tifa x Aerith, or, it can be interpreted as Tifa + Aerith. You decide, either way I still think it's cute.

Enjoy.

Warning: I apologize for any OOC' ness!

Disclaimer: There's no way I own KH2. I do not make any profit from this. I'm simply using them for my own sick and twisted purposes.

Brightspot

Tifa was happy about something, Aerith thought, as the leather-clad woman lead her through a series of streets and alleys through the town, the smell of gray plumed smoke assaulting her nose. Aerith idly fingered her blindfold, stumbling, and the raven-haired girl squeezed her hand gently as if to reassure her. Don't worry, I won't let you fall. The brunette could almost imagine the brilliant smile on her face, causing Aerith to show off a small one of her own. Finally, they came to a quick halt, leaving the flower-girl genuinely perplexed.

"Where are we?" Aerith asked, tilting her head curiously. Lately, she had been a little bit unhappy, why, she was not exactly sure but she knew it had something to do with her heart, and Cloud's leaving, and the ghost of shadows from dreams long past creeping up on her psyche. All mixed in a complicated salad she could not name.

The sound of laughter filled the air, Tifa's laughter, -- rich, buoyant, and clear. "You'll see."

"I don't understand." Aerith frowned, puzzled.

The sound of rustling cloth alerted Aerith causing her ears to perk up, feeling Tifa's presence move to stand behind her. "Ready?" She could almost hear the smile in it. The pressure over Aerith's eyes lightened, the cloth falling away gently. She blinked, once, twice, her vision sharpening. When her eyes adjusted Aerith gasped quietly, clapping a small hand over her mouth. "Oh my."

A quaint, rectangular house stood before her with windowpanes full of luminous rainbows and golden arches. Even in it's cramped little corner it was bright against the gloom that seemed to paint the sky, a myriad of flowers in a pot resting on a small window ledge. All in all, it was as simplistic and dare she say beautiful, a brightspot against the gray spell that had seemed to paint Hollow Bastion as of late.

"What---"

Tifa, still not letting go of Aerith's hand, turned to her, a slight smile on her face.

"It's your church Aerith. I know it's not the same, and it still needs a little work but I hope I---"

Aerith launched herself into Tifa's arms embracing her happily, smiling against her dark inky tresses as she buried her face in the crook of her neck. Tifa, caught off-guard, patted her back awkwardly, a furious blush staining her cheeks. She chuckled nervously, meeting the brunette's shining emerald gaze which seemed to sparkle reliably and clear.

"So, I take it you like it then?"

Light shone in the flower girl's smile, a brightspot against the world's fleeting darkness.

"It's perfect."
