Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight or anything by Stephenie Meyer.

A/N: Okay, I might continue Hoping to Ensnare Edward, but I might not. So this is just a little thing I thought of.

And please Review!! I love anyone who did, thank you, but other people…please!

Also, sorry if the ages are wrong for the time this "story" takes place. I tried to make it match, but it might not be correct.

Watching Bella Laugh

I stared out ahead of me, watching the waves roll and crash on the shore of First Beach. The wind was cold, but I was used to that, and the cold didn't seem to bother me as much as other kids my age.

On our way to the beach, it had been time-consuming, yet humorous, because Bella was present. Bella always had been clumsy. I didn't know a time when we could walk quickly in the woods if she was around. If anyone tried to get her to get moving, she only tripped and fell more. What other almost teen would fall, and scrape herself more than Bella? I don't think that there was anyone.

Suddenly I heard a screech a little ways next to me. Bella, who had come with Rachel and Rebecca, my older twin sister, had almost fallen into one of the largest tide pools on the shore. She only had "escaped" because Rebecca had held on to her sweatshirt as her nose had skimmed the surface.

Unexpectedly, Bella started laughing at almost falling into a pool where an eel and a sea anemone was present. She was two years older than me, but I hoped I would see her again. This was the last time I thought I would see her, because she hated Forks, and lived with her mother in Phoenix Arizona. Phoenix was almost the exact opposite of Forks and La Push, but Bella loved the sun and sky, not the rain and clouds.

Even through her distaste for this area, I hoped that she would visit again. She was planning this summer to be her last one coming here. She wanted to meet her dad in California instead. I thought that it was pretty unpractical having both Bella and Charlie leave their home for a few weeks, but who was I to question them.

Again, I turned at the sound of Bella laughing. She had been getting up, but had accidentally tripped over her own feet. I found it funny, and started laughing.

She stared at me in aggravation and said, "Hey, Jacob, what's so funny. Don't you see me do this ever single day? You really should be used to it by now." By the time she had stopped talking, her tone had turned friendly.

"Well, sort of. It's just...funny every time I guess" I replied, hoping that she wouldn't get mad again.

"Well, thanks. I'm glad that I provide entertainment." She said pleasantly, then walked over to me and ruffled my hair with a smile.

"I think that I'm going to go now. I hope I see you again Jacob." Bella said in optimistic voice.

"Bye Bella." I said. To myself I felt sullen, and sad, but I didn't want the twins to know this. Then they would tease me endlessly. So I just said it in a normal voice, hoping that Bella wouldn't realize how much I had hoped that she wouldn't leave.

Watching her leave, I promised myself that if she ever came back, I would try to befriend her. I hoped that that chance would come sooner than she thought.

A/N: I love Reviews!!
