Chapter Two
Night descended upon the land as Nadya ran towards the small cottage on top of the hill, where you could see the small village where a tall wall gaurded the witch's house. But it was only on the tall hill, that you could see the witch's garden filled with herbs of all kinds, and a tall tower stood inside the wall. Where sometimes you could see a tall figure, with long white hair stareing out the window towards the cottage.
Her dark green eyes searched the shadows in fear as she kept glancing back from where she came, and the path lead away from the village towards the small cottage on the hill were she lived with her uncle, and aunt. Nadya was excited when she learned that her aunt would be having a baby. It was then that everyone was glad that a baby would be born, but then Aunt Maybell had gotten sick and would look out towards the witch's gardens admiring the beautiful light blue spinach that the witch grew in great supply.
Uncle Josh would climb over the fence, and carefully still handfuls of the spinach, and so far he had not been caught. But Nadya knew that he would be caught one day, and that they would all pay the price of what he stole from the witch's garden. But as she opened the door to the cottage, she was not prepared for what was happening. For inside the cottage was the witch, and her uncle, and aunt crying their hearts out and as the witch was about to disappear with her cousin she yelled "wait," and all was silient.
