Ball Gown

Chapter 2

She liked to do things that helped cleared her mind. Like what she was doing now. Walking.

Where you might ask? Where ever their were wasn't people.

She was sure he did that too. I mean who wouldn't after an incident like that. She wanted to forget.

Evey wished life hadn't turned out like it had. The only good thing that came from it was...well she wasn't sure he out weighed all the crude cruelty this world had to offer.

Could she really live the normal life with out his toast? In the end she realized she was glad she didn't have too.

Her hand glazed past her pocket frequently and in frequently. She left the card on the antique dresser wishing she'd forget about it completely.

Luck was never on her side.

Not that Evey believed in Luck.

Her mind swayed, and it made her dizzy to try and resist this temptation. So, her heart made the choice for her.
