Red Ship No More

Though unlike most others,

I was not chained for long.

My hatred of the ship deadly,

My body still strong.

When Luke gave the call,

I was ready and waiting.

Finally freeing myself,

I was through in this slaving.

Shaking off my chains,

And kicking that oar.

I got up and followed,

Bullflay was just calling for more.

After killing him I rushed to Luke,

The great warrior of his time.

His bravery 'til the end no fluke,

His hatred for the ship as great as mine.

Steering the ship through the north,

Lukke headed straight for Tall Rocks.

It hit head on and was severed,

Everybeast abroad was in shock.

The half of the ship we were in,

Dropped like a stone from a cliff.

Though the warrior and I died,

We did it so others could live.

As you might have guessed, this poem is on Ranguvar Foeseeker's point of view. It came to me in a moment of inspiration which I just could let slip away, while I was reading the Legend of Luke.

I hope you enjoy it, even if it is a bit on the short side.
