Disclaimer: All Hail J.K. Rowling!

Summary: "I only ask that you raise your goblets in one lasting tribute to the greatest headmaster Hogwarts has ever seen- I ask you to raise your goblets to Albus Dumbledore."

Notes: I thought, that since the speech that was given at Dumbledore's funeral was insufficient, I would write one of my own. Short and sweet, once again…In my opinion, he would have liked to be remembered as the Headmaster of Hogwarts, rather than the greatest sorcerer in the world. Let me know in a review who you think is speaking!

Another Year Gone

"Another year gone, and with it, Hogwarts' most beloved and respected headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. To his credit, Hogwarts will never function as well as it did while he was with us, and never will he pass from our fond memories. There is none who has done more for our Hogwarts; for Albus believed that the education of young witches and wizards was the greatest service. None who came before him and none who may come after will surpass in his dedication to this school."

"For those of you who have, on previous occasions, experienced the end-of-term feast, you will know that it is usually Albus Dumbledore who says a few words before we dig in. As each year passes, and we delve deeper into this war than before, the length of these few words have steadily increased, though I am beginning to strongly suspect that he disapproved of talking before eating. This is, alas, amongst the many things that I never got the opportunity to ask him. But I do know that he was fond of such words as nitwit, blubber, oddment, and tweak, and of lemon drops and cockroach cluster. In fact, I am of the opinion that the one vomit-flavored bean that he was unfortunate enough to have tasted in his youth had permanently addled with his brains."

"Students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry- Professor Dumbledore is no longer with us in body or form, but he continues to live on in our hearts, and he will continue to guide us as he did when he was here. For he will never truly be gone, as long as there are those who remain loyal to him. However, I only ask that you raise your goblets in one lasting tribute to the greatest headmaster Hogwarts has ever seen- I ask you to raise your goblets to Albus Dumbledore."
