Kitsune memories Chapter 10:Fox Mountain, and the stone of God
Naruto should have spent his time training for the tournament. But he couldn't shake what news had been given to him. He just walked around the streets of Konoha for a while, ignoring the stares that the civilians kept tossing at him. They were afraid of him. He understood. He was afraid of himself sometimes, but those moments when he was afraid, were normally washed away quickly.
When he got to the hot springs he inhaled the scent of the women there. He was satisfied by that. Then he noticed a perv. One with long, spiked, white hair. Naruto's eye twitched.
"Old perve Jiraya. One of the legendary Sanin, and one of those people who are like a father to me" Naruto said. He tossed a Kunai at Jiraya. Jiraya turned, and caught it. He was about to yell, when he saw Naruto.
"Looks like your aim has gotten better" Jiraya said, walking away from his spot, and towards Naruto.
"And your reflexes haven't worn out yet" Naruto replied, the two of them exchanged high fives. Then, Naruto went back into his brooding mood.
"What's wrong?" Jiraya asked. Naruto sat down.
"Grampa Kyuubi is dying" Naruto said. Jiraya looked worried.
"Wow. I didn't think that sealed souls could die if the vessel still lived" Jiraya said. Naruto shook his head.
"Orochimaru's fault. He's here. He might just attack Konoha soon. He sealed off Kyuubi's chakra. But Kyuubi's soul was tangled up severely, that by the time I destroyed the seal, Kyuubi's soul had started to deteriorate" Naruto said. Jiraya was worried.
"Damn. This is...heavy" Jiraya said. Naruto looked up.
"I need some outside advice. Kyuubi said that if I go to fox mountain, I can retain all his powers, becoming a full demon. Not that I don't mind, because that won't change who I am, but...I don't know. If I don't, he dies. Well, he's dead anyways, but the powers won't fade if I am a full demon. What should I do?" Naruto asked. Jiraya smirked.
"This is up to you. Personally, I would become full demon. Just hide that fact from everybody, and you should be fine. You are you. That won't change. Do what you feel is right" Jiraya said. Naruto smiled.
"Thank you. I will become a full demon then. Oh, and I bet that info wasn't for free" Naruto said. Jiraya shook his head.
"Just let me guard the house while you're gone I need a place to stay, and my best apprentice's house would be the perfect place. Of course, it's up to your mom and all" Jiraya said.
Later... Karyu was in her fox form. Naruto was all packed, and ready to go.
"Remember Jiraya...no ladies, or funny business...and don't cross your fingers at me...understood" Karyu said. Jiraya nodded. Naruto hopped on, with the supplies.
"We'll be back in two weeks" Karyu said, as she ran off.
It took one week to get there. They were at the centre of Fox mountain. That was when a female, 7 tailed woman, came out. Her name, was Solace
"Mom. I missed you" Karyu said, as the two hugged each other. Karyu was in her human form. She explained everything. Solace let a few tears loose.
"To know...that I will never see my beloved again...it hurts. I know you understand dear" Solace said, leading them to the stone of the gods. Two wishes were allowed to be made. He knew what his first one was.
And he could feel his soul merging with Kyuubi's. He felt the extreme torture. But he eventually recovered. He still looked like he was before, except the hair was longer, and more spiked. His claws were a bit sharper, but he still looked the same. For his second wish, he cut himself, and let three drops of blood drip onto the stone. He had wished for a broad sword, which only he could use, and was to keep him at bay. It was granted.
Next day...
"Sorry gramma. But the Chuunin exams are in three weeks. But hey, you've helped me out a lot. And besides, I can summon foxes now. Though Jiraya wanted me to summon toads. But I can do both" Naruto said. Solace hugged her grandson.
"Take care you two" Solace said. to two waved goodbye. T\Karyu and Naruto began their journey home.
