Kitsune memories Chapter 17: Sasuke's betrayal

Naruto, over the course of two months, had noticed Sasuke's behaviour becoming darker then normal. Naruto didn't like this. It scared him.

Not to mention that He smelled Sasuke on Sakura. A lot of that scent. Plus another scent he wasn't familiar with. One day, after a mission, while Sasuke was recovering, Naruto had to talk to Sakura.

"Sakura...what has Sasuke done to you?" Naruto asked her. She was shocked to hear that.

"Nothing. I swear" Sakura said. Naruto saw through her lies.

"Don't make me use my Kamikugan on you. I will find out. I can smell Sasuke all over you. And since his attitude has become darker then normal, I'm concerned" Naruto said. Sakura looked up, then looked back at Naruto.

"If you're thinking he raped me, you're wrong. Though we did sleep together once, during our last mission" Sakura admitted. Naruto eased up.

"Okay. I'm sorry for approaching you like I did. But dammit Sakura. You're like a sister to me. I just needed to know" Naruto said. then it hit him. What if this other scent, was an indication that she was pregnant. He was about to say something, when Sasuke walked out.

"Naruto. I challenge you to a fight" Sauke said. he was ready for a fight. Naruto smirked.

"I was hoping you'd say that eventually" Naruto said. The two walked to the roof of the hospital.

The fight was good. They were even. Sasuke's Chiordi and Naruto's Rasengan nearly collided. Sakura pleaded to stop, but the fight was only stopped when Kakashi and Karyu grabbed the two boys.

Later, Sasuke was attacked by the sound four, but it was in invite to the sound village, and to work under Orochimaru.

With Sakura and Naruto...they were at the ramen stand. Surprisingly, Naruto was outclassed by Sakura. Now Naruto knew she didn't eat Ramen that much, so he had to bring it up. But before that.

"I'm worried about Sasuke. I'm afraid he might leave Konoha. Leave his team. Leave me" Sakura said sadly. Naruto sighed.

"He won't. He's better then that" Naruto said. Sakura believed him. The continued eating, until Naruto suddenly stopped. Sakura noticed this.

"Sakura. Promise me that tomorrow, you'll visit Tsunade, for a checkup" Naruto said. Sakura was surprised by this. Naruto then looked at her.

"I think you might be pregnant with Sasuke's kid" Naruto said. Sakura blushed at that. She didn't believe it. And Naruto saw that.

Out of nowhere, an ANBU ninja then came from behind them to deliver a note to Sakura. It had said, that her parents died in combat. She began to break down. She then left, and tried to go after Sasuke.

When she found him, she explained what had happened, and begged him not to go. But he turned around to face her. He then kissed her, before knocking her out, and placing her on a nearby bench.. Sasuke then Left Konoha.

Shikimaru, who had recently been upgraded to Chuunin, was taking a rather early morning walk. That was when he noticed Sakura. He woke her up. After a minute, she realised something

"Oh no. Sasuke left last night" She said, almost breaking down.

This of course, was reported to Tsunade, as quickly as possible. Naruto was already there, and almost broke something, he was so mad.

"DAMMIT" He shouted, slapping he wall. The paint on his had cracked a bit. Tsunade dismissed that.

"Here is what we'll do then. Shikimaru, Naruto, this is an A ranked mission, to bring Sasuke back. No doubt, escorts will be with him, so you need all the manpower you can get. Gather as many available Genin within one hour. Then, meet at the front gate" Tsunade said. Shikimaru was about to leave, when Naruto spoke up.

"Tsunade. I would like you to please give Sakura a checkup" Naruto said. Sakura had hoped Naruto forgot about it. Tsunade agreed.

Shikimaru had gotten Chouji first. Shikimaru had explained that he was best friends with Chouji, and the two worked quite well as a team. Kiba was around, and they recruited him as well.

"Huh?" Kiba said, as he looked up. A winged creature was flying around in the sky. Naruto recognized who it was, and jumped to meet it. It was actually Gail.

"Yo Gail. We have an important mission. You want to come?" Naruto shouted from a rooftop. Gail flew to the roof, and smirked.

"Love to" the ice dragon said. Naruto then noticed that they were on top of the main building of the Hyuuga manor. Hiashi had walked up there.

"What are you two doing up here?" Hiashi asked. Naruto looked to the Hyuga leader.

"Sorry sir. We didn't know which roof we landed on. But now that you're here, there is an important mission, and I'm gathering some Genin. If it's okay, I'd like to take Neji with us for this mission" Naruto said. Hiashi smiled.

"Of course. It's a dangerous one, right?" Hiashi asked. He was wondering why Naruto didn't ask for Hinata.

"Oh yeah. Highly dangerous. Tell Neji to meet at the front gate in half an hour" Naruto said. Gail and Naruto then left.

All together that had been gathered at the gate, were Shikimaru, Naruto, Kiba, Chouji, Gail, and Neji. Sakura then showed up.

"You guys have to bring him back" She said. They all agreed to that. Sakura then hugged Naruto, in a sisterly hug, before telling him (in a faint whisper) that he was right.
